  • A shear wall in a building is a structural element that is designed to resist lateral forces acting on a building such as earthquakes and wind load.
    This video will give you a better understanding of shear walls, why shear walls are provided, and if shear walls completely prevent the collapse of buildings.

    I am sorry🙏. At the ending of the video, I mistakenly deleted the last seconds of the video. But I hope you already got the idea and concepts of shear walls? God bless you all🙏.
    If you want to see more videos about shear walls or any structural members, you can let me know. Once more, God bless you all🙏

    what is the difference between structural wall and shear wall in practical construction? how to construct the shear wall different to structural wall and bearing wall?

    • @Innotutorial
      @Innotutorial  10 месяцев назад +1

      Shear walls are structural walls that support not only his weight but also support and resist lateral loads. The load bearing wall will support his own weight and the vertical load produced by beams, slabs, and even other walls.
      I will make a video explaining this question in details

    It's "sheer," not 'shear," which refers to removing wool from sheep.

      He might be referring to the way SHEAR is commonly pronounced. In the same way as SHEER and not SHARE.
      OR He's more confused than the rest of us. 😜
