Federal government announces new tree planting initiative - May 15, 2024

Federal Energy Minister Jonathan Wilkinson is joined by Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) second vice-president Rebecca Bligh and North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan to launch a new tree planting initiative. The federal government has committed to planting two billion trees by 2031 as part of its climate action plan and goal to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
