I have severe gastroparesis, which causes nausea, stomach cramps, and vomiting. Ginger tea is pretty much the only way I can get fluids in me without getting sick. It’s great stuff.

THANK YOU, Thank you, thank you, One! It's nice to hear from someone who can give a true testimony about ginger tea; however, I am sorry about your gastroparesis. May your body be healed and function the way God made it to.
Thank you again, for your testimony. Have a calm and peace-filled day! 😊

Hey Berta, I am Pragya Verma from India. Your suggestion is great but a tea is a tea when you put tea leaves in tea 😀. So, to make ginger tea, you need to add tea leaves into this drink. Else, its just ginger in hot boiling water.

You would get more from the 'Salabat' if you grate the ginger finely and not just slicing them. Boil until the water turns orange.
You may also add flavourants/aromatics like brown sugar, calamansi and or pandan.
Salabat is also great at soothing sore throat weather from flu or overused vocal chords.
