You are one busy dude. You single handily have the most videos per day in my subscription feed. As cool as mini CUVs are, I really wish manufacturers would make more wagons based on the sedan platform (especially in the mid and large categories). Just as spacious as a cuv, but better dynamics and efficiency.
You have to actually put the gear selector in manual mode to have full manual control FYI. It's been like that on Lexus models for years now. The engine sound inside the car is giving "GTI". Not sure how I feel about that. However, I do like the interior and that awesome paint color.
Toyota said they didn’t need the 8 speed, but decided to put one in the Grand Highlander with the same turbo i4 hybrid setup… me thinks that they were lying just a bit
Agreed. The first time I heard it in some early videos of the new RX, my ears thought it had a soft, fade-out effect after each chime, and then play again right afterwards. I liked that. But now after hearing it in some newer videos, it’s like… woah. That… doesn’t sound right to me. Sounds like a cut-off pipe organ. I just don’t like it cutting off like that. Thankfully it looks like I’m not alone here.
I’d been the same until I drove a proper turbo charged engine in Europe (Europe has a dumb regulations that anything above 2L in capacity has a special high tax so naturally they are 4 bangers in majority). Long story short my dad drives 2.0tfsi engine with 280hp in station wagon (it’s Europe man). It freaking rocks, very high torque from low rpms connected to a dual clutch transmission. 0-100kmh in 4.9s. Interestingly my dad made over 300k kms in those engines and never had any mechanical issue. USA and Canada are different and here people still refer to engines as to how many cylinders without looking more into details. Anyway, think about it as a standard for trucks, v8s are now v6s with turbo, and same is for cars/SUVs where v6s become r4s with turbo.
@@MrDomestosWC I understand and appreciate your viewpoint and impressions. I’d be okay with a high performance German turbo. I had considered a GTI or Golf R in the not so distant past, but needed more room. Indeed I believe we will see more and more low displacement turbos here in the CONUS, but I will probably hold out as long as possible 😂. Cheers!

@@FATTIEASMR a Camry v6 is so much better. I know because I’ve test driven in an nx350. Wasn’t impressed with it. Powertrain was laggy and unrefined. Interior wasn’t luxurious. It looked too much like a Toyota inside. Plus the gimmicks the nx is filled with make it a nonstarter
Saw some reviews of people saying that the transmission was herky-jerky. Have you or anyone else on here who owns one experienced this? I've been trying to find a 500H to test drive here in my area, but there are none available. based on the features and mpg, I want to buy a fully loaded one, but just need to get a test drive.
Test drove the 2023 f sport 350. Same motor without the hybrid assist and will say that was the first thing that stood out to me. Jerky transmission and a lot of the motor noise penetrates into the cab. I’m not sure if we’ll go through with the purchase of the one we had on order. Steering wheel also feels cheap.
@@DMAX-ed7pq I went and test drove a 500H F Sport Performance yesterday. I was sure I was going to get one, then I randomly pulled into a Volvo dealership down the road and drove an XC60 B6... I'm now sincerely considering the XC over the 500H at this point. Same Price, much better driving characteristics, and that Bowers and Wilkins sound system is UNBELIEVABLE. I'm having Volvo get me a quote for a XC60 Recharge. it does 63mpge and has 35 miles of full electric range at 500HP. An absolute beast.
@@DMAX-ed7pq Sure thing! I should correct myself, the horsepower is 455 hp with over 500 lb-ft of torque. I'm still super impressed with those numbers. Power and efficiency and no range anxiety that comes with full EV at this point. Even if you run the battery dead, the Volvo still pulls 312 HP out of that 4 cylinder. Not bad numbers at all. I test drove a B6 mild hybrid which puts out 295hp and over 300 lb-ft of torque. I'm now trying to find the B8 Hybrid to test drive locally. Good Luck!
This is amazing I love the new rx thanks so muchhh

To be fair, there are a few dudes in the Winding Road squad, not just one.

😍😍🔥
I'm sad that they have ditch the v6, now this 4 cylinder just feels like a downgrade. Considering that the v6 is smooother than a 4 cylinder.
Wow, the rx500h no longer use the cvt like rx450h
but notwow it lost its 3,5 V6 which was much more suitable for such a big and heavy car !

would a 6 2 guy fit in this car?
Nice. That's one expensive RAV4
The NX is the equivelant to the RAV4
I’d be hard-pressed to spend that much on a 4-popper engine.
