“Drink to our son Trent” (not his wife) lol. I get having a focused speech on one person but always thought it was strange when people say things like that and exclude someone from the toast.
I get what you're saying, but he acknowledged the bride earlier in his speech. Also, there were others who made speeches from the bride's family, including her bridesmaids.
