General Traag Origins - This Insanely Powerful Rock Warrior Has Crushed TMNT Many Times!

- Objectively speaking, 4 mutant turtles named after seminal Renaissance artists who were taught ninjutsu by a rat-sensei, love pizza, live in a sewer and come up with ridiculous lingo all the time shouldn’t have worked as well as it did. But such is the impact of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that Cowabunga is a part of some of our daily vocabularies now. Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello have shaped the childhood of 2 generations of children worldwide, but their legacy isn’t confined to their own bizarre existence. As the adage goes, a hero is only as good as their villain; and these 4 turtle brothers have had those in abundant supply. From the evil leader of the Foot Clan - Shredder - to the intergalactic warlord Krang, none have been able to withstand the brothers’ exceptional ninjutsu skills and raw Turtle Power; except for this guy. Traag isn’t the smartest of TMNT villains, nor is he the most ambitious. What he is, is a walking wall of lava and death that has been, at times, the only thing that the Turtles haven’t been able to take down. Who is this behemoth? Where did he come from? Why does he hate the Turtles and Leatherhead? We’re here to answer all those questions; this is Traag’s origins - Explored.

“Activate confirmed kill cannon!”
I use to like General Traag based purely on the fact I had his action figure.
Witch one because I had one too and it was like super bad quality
@@tinaperisich8711 I think it was the high quality one. Sturdy, solid, and high quality paint. He also came with the two laser guns Bebop and Rocksteady usually used.
Haaaa
I'd love to see a future live action tmnt movie done right with Traag in it. Hell bring back the hot rodders from dimension X.
They came back in the IDW comic series.
The Neutrinos.
While he doesn't appear in the 2003 adaption, there is an argument for Han taking alot inspiration from the 87 version of Traag being a ridiculously resilient and loyal lacky to the Utron Shredder (who technically is a combination of the Shredder and Krang)
Utrom*
General Tragg: We Are Ready, Lord Krang!
Yeah I remember when this Arc was on night time TV on CBS with Garfield it was a new Saturday night slot for kids it was crazy like the TGIF follow-up
I know they aired TMNT specials in prime time because it was so popular but are you saying they aired Garfield and Friends in prime time after it too? Gotta love the spontaneity of TV from back in the day.
I love hearing about General Traag Origins.
There was an episode in the TMNT 1986 series where our favorite pizza loving turtles were feeling downhearted after letting Shredder get away and wished that the world will be better off without them but that is a HORRIBLE MISTAKE because they wake up in a world without the TMNT 🐢🍕😱! Thank heaven it was only a nightmare! That was where I saw Traag for the first time.
"Shredderville", yeah?
@@mitchfletcher2386 Yes. That's the episode! It's like the movie, It's A Wonderful Life! And again, thank godess it was all a horrible nightmare! What a relief! ☁️😇☁️
Humm...orgins of the Punk Frogs?
AHA!! TOTAL CHAOS!!!
Even if it wasn’t official, I like to consider the stone warriors from the 2007 TMNT movie as Traag’s warriors. With the leader closest to Traag.
Alright let's get those kid's !!!!!
When I 1st saw Gen. Traag, I was all like “who put ooze on a rock?” Naaayyyeeee! 😂😂😂😂
Fantastic soilder
I really like Traggs design when his body is orange
I dont like his newest renditions as grey and black and stuff
I have a platoon protecting 11 inch krang on my vintage tmnt collection, I got them all painted the right color like in the cartoon series
6:05 they are killing each other
He came from DIMENSION X…but has all the stereotypes of a USA GI.
Shredder could've killed krang and been the new overlord of demotion x so easily
I don’t think shredder is like that, he gives respect when respected, it’s deeper then being on top it’s about respect.
I Used To Be a Big TMNT Fan But Nickelodeon Purchased the franchise and stuck with Power Rangers ever since...
The 2012 series is great and the IDW comics are the best incarnation of tmnt ever
I want to see this character (General Tragg) appear in the next version of (TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES) cartoon show series.
Gotta admit tho, 80s Traag looks very much like Ben Grimm from the comics!
in the 87 cartoon Traag's face looks like an Obese Moai, his nose is huge
By the way the new tmnt game on psn is absolutely amazing! Any fan will find nostalgia playing it.
From back in past till this day, i laugh when i see this villain as his name in dutch translates to "general slow"
Nice
I feel like you would voice kraang perfectly
First VO I've enjoyed so far...love the vids but the obviously automated shit drives me nuts
I’ve never heard a speech impediment like yours, sounds pretty cool and unique though 👍
It may be an accent from being bilingual. Says certain words like a Greecian friend of mine.
Leatherhead should be next
I honestly don't remember him or Granitor.
Wasn't Tragg in the 2012 one too?
Wasn’t tag the general from the cgi animated movie? The one from the mid 2000s
oh yeah i remember those guys
i thought they look cool
TMNTs General Traag vs Fantastic Fours the Thing how would win?
Ben Grimm all day
Happy fourth of July everyone.
Thing
His level was annoying because there’s a second boss fight in it
The 1984 version was the best
Do you pronounce Ts as Ds on purpose?
I blame them for my pizza obsession! This was a conspiracy, created by Pizza Hut, to brain wash Innocent, vegetable loving kids, like I was, to eat as much pizza as possible! Who can I sue? 😂 Because we all know that what Joe Camel was to cigarettes, TMNT are to pizza! I'm not serious, of course! TMNT was one of the best parts of my childhood!
🍕🍕 eat it.
Why did i read it thraag
First
Tmnt has shaped atleast 3 generations soon to be 4.
2012 version of tmnt was bad
The crossover episodes with the 1987 turtles were decent though. I liked them more than when 4kids tried to do a crossover-movie with the 2003 versions and the 1987 versions titled "Turtles Forever".
Tragg is a great character and definitely needs a time in the shows as a proper person and not jsut a stone monster like the 2012 versions. Bring back the great general tragg
While I super enjoy most of the IDW comcis, their are a few characters that are not done so well. Traggs story in IDW is cool. But his design is lame. Really lame it's just a grey human with rocky skin. It's the worst design by far
I think he and his people would've made a popular hero (a sort of unique Army Men) if introduced that way here or even independently.
