I really like how the sprite gets more demonic with the brimstone synergy. If you get 3 it should give you a demon type transformation, and give the player 3 demon hearts and lord of the pit.
There is a synergy that shoots out the mega blast size laser you need to play as asazel for it you need these items: brimstone,brimstone, birthright and chocolate milk Edit: if you want it to destroy stuff give yourself the acid item forgot it's name and you could give your self alot of dmg to make it look like it does a lot of dmg since brimstone doesn't get bigger with dmg so you don't crash every 2 seconds
I'm in love with the Jacob's ladder + brim synergy! It looks so badass! Imagine having spoon bender and almond milk. That would look like straight lightning. Plus something that would produce an arc like monstros lung, and add rubber cement. Masterpiece.

The item synergies is what makes isaac so great. It was always so disappointing to find non-synergizing combos, or combos that just did nothing or replaced something.
Tbf brimstone feels a lot weaker now that it only lasts a very short time before you need to shoot another one. Feels a lot less satisfying to me, even the sound effect sounds less powerful now. Oh well
You forgot how monstro's lung works with brimstone now. Instead of shooting lasers in random directions, it shoots multiple short range beams infront of isaac. Also hemalacria tears shoot brimstone lasers when the tear lands.
That one was brimstone and ipecac brought me back to after birth+ I was playing in front of my dad and got brimstone and ipecac. Me and him were surprised when it chopped both brimstone and a ipecac tear. Good times
About the only thing I dislike about new brimstone is the blast sound. The old one had a sort of electric buzz or dub-steppy sound that gave it a sense of power that matches the attack. Now it's just more generic and bubbly, like shooting a stream of boiling blood instead of a beam of energy.
I'm pretty sure the Brimstone + Brimstone synergy is actually INTENDED for Brimstone + Sulphur. They then let you get it by doubling up for the same reason you can use the Faded Polaroid trinket to start the Ascent.
I actually got the soy milk parasite brim laser once, althrough from a fucked up draw from a treasure room, oh and lachaphygy with tainted azazel. The shortened range might be good for the harbringers as they usually end up in the center of the explosion but do not get up close on the beast, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT SUCKS IT WILL END YOUR RUN
could you please cover the suicidal synergy (that lost me a great run to the beast) with ipecac + trisagion? when i picked them up one run it just kept exploding whenever the trisagion laser moved, and meant that attacking once would 1 shot litreally anything and would also blow me up...
Keep in mind, that using sulphur each time while having Brimstone/having already used it once, makes your brimstone ~2x bigger. Then... What if you've used sulfur 2x times, charge your charge of chocolate milk to being full charged and have double brimstone? :3
It seems like they wanted to make a lot of new items do cool things when you pick up multiple of them, but only actually did it for a couple, I hope a mod expands on this concept, reminds me of risk of rain
It has slightly. It hasn't changed in the way how it generally works but it got a nerf (or rather bug fix). Previoudly you could cancel the shot and the additional beams would continue to fire, that doesnt work in Rep anymore, all the beams will vanish.
I just used him as a punching bag because the dummy obviously can't be knocked back ^^ Skinles hush can be spawned with the debug console since Afterbirth, he was planned for the game but never made it.

The double brimstone is why I always go for sulfur in greed mode. With the low charge, you’ll be sweeping through enemies in a few rounds.
Brimstone^2 has a GOOD sound!
