When you talk about the judicial filibuster effect, all I hear is ego, ego, narcissist strategizing on when and how to tame the ambition of the ego.
This isn't conservative or liberal, it's human. The worst models of human beings, the most un-Christlike, swapping out old techniques for new ones.
It's no wonder people, left and right, don't trust federal courts. Im not saying ambition is a sin, but it's never as simple as ambition. It's the motivating factors of ambition too. Those? Excess agency? Meet excess ego. Cuddle up. Nothing is sacred. Humans are here to game and be gamed.
It's awful to have these thoughts. More awful when these thoughts aren't preoccupations of the mind but facts of the world-out-there.
Partisan or non-partisan jockeying? Which will best enhance my image in the eyes of the masters? Which will best allow me to achieve the power I covet.
