I got the stinger from steambow and the newer version of the ar7 viper magazine. The steambow, I had trouble shooting those golden bolts, it kept miss firing, jamming, etc. The viper worked almost flawlessly. I will say though, I modified the stinger so now I can shoot those cheap golden bolts, with no problems. But if I had to choose my favorite out of the two, the viper is my favorite. Loved it so much I have three of them. The best part is that it's cheaper than the Steambow.
@@rickace132 i agree 👍🏻👍🏻, my favorite is the viper as well, not to take anything away from the stinger because I have those as well and are great too. But loading the viper is so much faster.
Tod’s workshop channel has a great video how lower powered, fast reloading crossbows were used for civil defence. He compares a historical crossbow to the ek adder and the similarity’s between the two centuries apart. The conclusion is that both would want to make a wrong doer be somewhere else. Great vid
@jessebianco3382 They have enough power for home defense no doubt, but they're slow. If you have one with string on the bolt, possibly two shots you could get out in a stressful event? If you have to take a 3rd shot, you're already in heaven with Jesus.

I'll check that video out, it's definitely a viable option. Thank you, glad you're enjoying the content.
I have the same one and it definitely would work in a home defense situation. Great videos keep up the good work.
@@jessebianco3382 absolutely 👍🏻👍🏻 thank you for watching.

impressive, bro. I also shoot crossbows! I'm a Maryland guy!
They really are impressive. Crossbows are awesome, always intrigued by them.
That's so true, bro! @@TheJerzeyGuy
Very nicee
Crossbows are necessity for NJ residence, this thing is the equivalent of a bazooka in a red state.
Better than nothing 👍

Great video man. Can you get the magazine if you're not in USA?
@@josepom88 i would assume you can, you'd have to check with the eBay store
I got that same magazine, was it kinda a tight fit on your cross bow? Mine was a pretty tight fit...
@@MichaelFiden yes it was, it still is, Everytime I clean it , i try to be cautious to not break the front mount
@@TheJerzeyGuy do you put drops of super glue on the vulnerable parts of your string ? It will last forever...
@@MichaelFiden haven't tried it.
@@TheJerzeyGuy the first sign of string fray put a few drops of super glue on them parts of the string....I had the same string for about a year.
@@MichaelFiden will be trying it 👍🏻👍🏻
Have you tried a mini-striker?
