Music is the best way to free your mind and spirit, and rebuild all your self, and just add the dance, you're in Heaven. This is a great efford to give some freedom and recreation to all these inmates. This is a great example for all of us, I hope in many countries could be an example to follow.
Mr Garcia thank you very much for introducing new form of rehabilitation. This is more productive and boost self-esteem for all inmates who participated in this program. I believe even those behind bars still has a chance to change for the better and be a productive citizen and law abiding citizens once they're done serving their time. To some people who watch videos you've posted, they thought it's just plain dancing, some of us saw the purpose behind it, they've learn cooperation. Thank you.
Wow! We are crying for joy while watching those videos. We really admire how the life of the inmates and their self-esteem been changed through dancing.
i just hope that this program will last kahit na sino pa ang mga pumalit sa govt ng cebu. they are doing a great job for these people. they have taught a lot of people that there is life after every problems. keep up the good work Mr. Byron Garcia. I salute you for a job well done to these people. Congratulations!!! God bless you all...
Great video. It's so good to see something so positive come out of their dancing. It would be interesting to know what effect and outcome it has had on some of their lives and hear some interviews of what they think about it all. Good Luck to everyone involved :)
Though I don't speak taglog the music and feeling is universal. I support your program. Rehabilitation is possible if the individual wants it. Keep up the good work.
Seldom you'll see a prison warden well respected by inmates, Mr. Garcia you've done something totally extraordinary in my opinion. You've accomplished something in our prison colony where others have failed. I know this is a lot of hard work, perseverance, consistency on your side to achieve this. You've given these men and women what they cannot achieved on the outside - dignity, self respect. In your own way, you've changed them for the better.
MR GARCIA, GOD BLESS YOU. YOU HAVE IN YOUR CORNER MADE THE WORLD A MUCH BETTER PLACE. IF ALL PRISONS DID THIS, IT WOULD TURN SHALLOW PEOPLE LOOKING ON, THINK AGAIN ABOUT WHO THEY ARE. I WISH EVERY SINGLE PRISONER ALL THE BEST IN THEIR FUTURES BE IT IN PRISON OR OUT.
HI GUys!!!Wow I hope the next dance presentation will have an english subtext under, so that everybody could understand...I'm so proud to be CEBUANA!!!Good luck Byron and all inmates of CPDRC!!!Can't wait to see your dance presentation gurls and guys!!!
I think that this type of rehabilitation is the smartest way to get people back to the 'good' track. It's non violent, is a good source of excercise, and is completely optional. Not all of the inmates are forced to do it, everyone you see there is doing it in their own will.
hey this is awesome! can someone put subtitles to the songs in english? I think that would help those who may not be able to understand the song. But btw, I really I believe this is GREAT work. Programs like these that rehabilitate and give people back their respect and something to look forward to is the best gift to society at large. Upon release, Mr. Garcia, I believe you're reintroducing back new and improved people into the world. Keep creating programs like these, you have my support!!!!
i can see the smiles on the faces of the prisoners...sir, u make a difference!! i hope inside and out they can still smile...they look ok with their clothes and appearances, continue your purpose sir with the lives of these ppl...your accountability and rewards are up to our DEAR GOD.
hooya! galengggggggggggggg!!! now i like to visit cebu someday where is the location of CPDRC? do they have schedule for the dance so that i can watch live:-)more power & keep up the good work!
I'd like to know what does this song say in english or spanish! Congratulations for all the people involved in this amazing work! Me gustaría saber qué dice esta canción en español o en inglés! Felicidades a toda la gente involucrada en este sorprendente trabajo!
wow! a slideshow this time, I really enjoyed it. After watching these for quite some time, the faces become more and more familiar and these guys really seem to be enjoying this. Do they get to see themselves on youtube or read any of the comments? Im sure they know how popular they are. Now Im wondering if youll be posting the dance to this song ... Thanks for uploading, I look forward to them.
wow, thanks for the input. I keep forgetting that. I know I've heard about it some time ago, but I just don't remember whether it's Filipino, or Tagalog.
tagalog is a dialect, people (and i have been one of them, hahahaa...XD) mistake it for the language of Philippines...we have been corrected constantly by our teachers that it should be Filipino language, not tagalog. Filipino is based mostly on the tagalog dialect with a mixture of spanish, english and malay.
3:25 For the basic English summary, start at that time. I can understand some parts here and there. I could only understand Ilongo, but I can't speak it well.
I wish American prisons would take heart to this, all you get when you go to prison in the U.S. is a likely death sentence, due to violence and AIDS. Granted it's one hell of a deterrent, but people can and do fall victim to bad circumstance, or are entirely innocent, and whom have had their lives ruined by the U.S. Justice System. Sad but true. Keep up the good work!
are there any statistics released on how this program effects the rates of re-offenders? If there is, I would love to be able to see them. I think this program is a great idea.
I hope people dont commit crimes just to get into that prison lol... anyhow it is a great initiative and an exactly how inmates should be reabilitated I'm sure they are getting increadible success, kudos and keep up the good work
watching these inmates makes me want all prisons to be like that so all the inmates could get rehablitated like this & i also want to go see these guys and girls seen i saw a few women in there in person so i can watch them dance
Do the inmates have to show a talent for dancing before they can join this group, or is it a privilege or just a desire to dance? I am just amazed by this all!
