Is you ever see this comment, just know you have a special place in my heart. My father got me to your songs and you are an amazing singer and person. I wish I got to go see your concerts but I wasn’t even born during that time but to hear your music on RUclips of your live performances, I can only imagine the fans who payed to see you were in total awe. One of my favs from AO. The man with the “voice”. Nobody can touch this man’s voice even with time gone by. People should not dwell on the decisions he’s made I’m sure he’s done that already and realized his career is not as big as it should have been. He never received the recognition he deserves for that wonderful talent he has some people want to only dwell on his “admitted” drug use. Offer prayers for restoration we all can be restored in some way or another. Enjoy the music and the man. A fan forever.

Alex is definitely one of the greatest to ever grace the stage!! His voice is one of a kind and he has so many hit records!! He is my favorite of all time and this song has gotten me through so many tough times. This song will never grow old in my book!! We love you Alex and honestly I’m glad the deal with Prince didn’t work out for you because it would’ve actually held you back from really showcasing your talent as a solo artist. 👍🏽❤️

Jimmy and Terry paid for and sent him to rehab several times. They stopped working with him because of his addiction. You obviously haven't followed his career that closely because he looks and sounds terrible now. And age has little to do with it. Patti, Gladys and a lot of artists up in years still sound good. You might want to watch his Unsung episode.
