Thank you for sharing this type of arch! Im looking for ideas for my sons birthday party in 4 hours and dont have a unlimited supply of balloons. This is perfect!
This is amazing! Thank you! Saved me a lot of money for my sons birthday! Since I'm on a budget this is perfect!! Thank you so much for this video it's so simple and perfect and beautiful looking.
Thanks for this video! Can you recommend a suitable weight to use if the balloons are to be displayed over a swimming pool, with the weights in the water?
Thank you for watching! Have you considered sand weights, made using uninflated latex balloons? Definitely worth double or triple layering the balloons :)
Thanks so much for sharing, however, it would have been nice if you had done a close-up of your particular method of tying the balloon to the nylon, especially for knowing how to slide the balloon over, if needed.
Thanks for your comment. If you tie the knot around the the nylon line, you'll find you can move the balloons up and down it, to position where best for you :)
Hi there! It's not something we've tried, but are not sure if it would be secure enough with just tape, which is why they tie it to the balloon weights!
+Kristine Valdes Hi Kristine. Unfortunately that design has now been discontinued, which is a shame as it is quite colourful! We do however have similar designs on our Balloon Market website! www.balloonmarket.co.uk/latex-balloons/theme-latex/themed-party/animals/11-assorted-butterflies-latex-balloons-25
hi. first time im going to attempt making my own. thanks to you and your video! one question, can I use a wire which is around 19lbs? Thats the only ones I've been able to find. thank you x
Hi Katrina, glad we could help! Yes a 19lbs line would be fine for an arch. An 11 inch balloon has a lift of 0.35oz so you would have to use quite a few to break it!
+Balloon Market thank you so much! Here you used 11 balloons, so basically I'd have to use more balloons and I'd get a higher arch too? is that how it works? thanks
Another great video Tanya! Keep them coming! Question, are you also a balloon twister? Been twisting for a few months now and wanting to learn some new things.
Hi Tay. Not too sure who Tanya is but we will keep these videos coming! We do not do balloon twisting ourselves but we have had some balloon twisters in to show us how to do a few things. Check out BMTV 26 and BMTV 58. I hope your twisting goes well.
Hi Joana. You would probably need to have a few tied together as a single weight either end probably wouldn't be heavy enough. Whatever holds them down really - some people use bricks wrapped in fabric! Hope this helps :)
If I was to go get the balloons inflated with air at party city and then tie them to the string at the party, would it work just as fine? Or would it be hard to tie the balloon to the string? Please answer ! My party is this weekend 😭
Hi honeybooboo! You could knot the balloons first and then tie them to the line later. You would just have a double knot in the balloons, we just think a single looks neater. Please note that you would need to have the balloons filled with helium for them to float. You would also need a way of weighing them down to get them home!
Zahra Jawad thanks for your comment. Helium is needed to make the balloons float. If they are air filled they will fall to the floor I'm afraid. I hope that this helps.
Air inflating using a hand pump will mean that the balloons won't float and will just sit on the floor. You will need to fill the balloons with helium to create the arch shape.
Hi Chanel. This would float for around 8-10 hours, sometimes a bit longer. You could use Hi-Float to extend the float life if you wish but it doesn't need it. If you are inflating close enough to the beginning of the event, they are fine without Hi-Float. However if you were inflating first thing in the morning for an evening event, Hi-Float would be the way to go. Hope this helps.
thank you for sharing it looks amazing :) I'm from Canada and my question is can I buy the balloon sizer from a store instead of off line.??? and you did a great job my daughter in law is having a baby shower in Sept there having a girl :) so what colors would be the best or does it matter?? thank you
Hi Dorothy, you can probably find the balloon sizer from a party shop near you, I think they are mainly online though. We think for a baby shower pastel colours would be best, pale blues, pinks, yellows or purples would be good. Glad you liked the video!
Hi Ririn, I'm not sure specifically as we're based in the UK but it's called a Very Best Balloon Sizer. You will probably be able to find it from your local Qualatex supplier. Hope this helps!
+Andie Ostiguin Hi Andie, in this arch we used 13 latex balloons and around 20ft of nylon line. The length of line would depend on how many balloons you use and what type of arch you are trying to create. For this type of arch we would recommend measuring line to 1.5 x the width of the space you are trying to fill.
Hi Michelle, you can find all the hire helium cylinders we supply on our website by clicking the link below :) www.balloonmarket.co.uk/helium/helium-cylinders-extensions
Hi Maria Yes the balloons do have to be inflated with helium if you are using nylon line like in the arch we made. We do have balloon arch structures on our website that will work with air-filled balloons! Take a look here: tiny.cc/y11pby
Hi Omkar, if you are based in the UK we actually stock the balloon sizer. Alternatively if you are overseas you might be able to purchase them from a Qualatex or Amscan distributor.
Hi Sari. The amount of line in-between each balloon should be equal but it depends on what you are trying to achieve with the design. We recommend spacing the balloons evenly along the line!
keisha greene Hi Keisha, the product is a balloon sizer. If you are in the UK it can be found here on our website: www.balloonmarket.co.uk/accessories/decorating-accessories/general-accessories/very-best-balloon-sizer-1
Hi Manvi, you can just tie the neck of the balloon using your fingers. We have a video showing how to do this here: ruclips.net/video/bI3_ULpQEHg/видео.html Hope this helps!
Hi Lisa. If you mean the steel, we get it from a local engineering company. They just cut up a bar of steel for us. They are really heavy and really good. Quite expensive though. IF you mean the boxes, here in the UK you can get them from us. www.balloonmarket.co.uk/accessories/balloon-weights/card-gift-box-weights I hope this helps Lisa :)
Hi Themba! Unfortunately we are based in the UK so we wouldn't know where it would be best to find helium in Pretoria. A local party shop to you might be able to help!
Hi Freddiip, yes you would need helium for this type of arch as you need the helium to lift the line up. You can make arches with air-filled balloons but you would need some kind of support structure like a table arch as seen in a BMTV show here: ruclips.net/video/mM_-lLM77AI/видео.htmlm2s
+Angie Zarate Hi Angie The balloons will look the best if they are all uniform in size and evenly spaced along the line. If you want a larger arch you can use as much line as you like, you don’t need to use the measurements we have here! Just make sure you have enough weight to hold your balloons down.
+heri yadi Hi Heri Thanks for your comment, there may be something coming soon so watch this space! We regularly do tips and how-to sections in our BMTV episodes so subscribe to our channel to get the latest updates.
Hi Naihsem, we are using force profish 25lb nylon line but any fishing line would do! Just be sure your line is strong enough to hold the lift of all the balloons you are using.
Yes you could do that, you just need something that is heavy enough to hold the arch down. We also have table arch kits that you could use, the benefit of these is that they don't need helium! www.balloonmarket.co.uk/accessories/decorating-accessories/general-accessories/balloon-arch-kit-1
Hi Raghu It naturally takes that shape. You can adjust the balloons left and right and move the end weights to change the shape. :) I hope this helps you!
+Tiara Thomas Hi Tiara. If you knot the balloons first, you will have to tie another knot when you attach each balloon to the line. This could cause the balloons to sit akwardly on the line. We would recommend tying directly into the line so there's only one knot for each balloon and they will sit flush with the line. Hope this helps!
Thank you for sharing this type of arch! Im looking for ideas for my sons birthday party in 4 hours and dont have a unlimited supply of balloons. This is perfect!

That's interesting, thanks for sharing
Thanks for this!!
Thank you BM TV! you guys are awesome!
Thanks Zivi. That means a lot to come from a balloon industry pioneer like you :)
Could you secure the line by using tape? Taping from one Awning to another.
Hi there! It's not something we've tried, but are not sure if it would be secure enough with just tape, which is why they tie it to the balloon weights!
Thank you for letting me know I appreciate it 🙏
Very interesting love the balloons very colorful, where can I get balloons like the ones you showed I have a birthday party for a 3 year old girl?

I'm in the US where did u get that balloon measure
Qualatex supply the balloon sizers, it might be worth looking for a distributor in the US.
If we don't use gas cylinder for balloons will they still remain up ?
Zahra Jawad thanks for your comment. Helium is needed to make the balloons float. If they are air filled they will fall to the floor I'm afraid. I hope that this helps.
is it the same result when I used hand pump only to blow a balloon?
Air inflating using a hand pump will mean that the balloons won't float and will just sit on the floor. You will need to fill the balloons with helium to create the arch shape.
how long does this stay float? does it not need hi-float
Hi Chanel. This would float for around 8-10 hours, sometimes a bit longer. You could use Hi-Float to extend the float life if you wish but it doesn't need it. How long in length is the wire to tie all the balloons together?
Hi Liam! It does depend on your venue and how big you want the arch to be. We had around 10 meters here but cut it down in size to fit the space.
I enjoyed watching your video and learning how to make a balloon arch. You made it look so easy.will be giving this a go !
Would fishing line work as well as nylon line as used in the video?
Yes! :-)
Which type of wire it is i means wht its called?

Helium tanks and balloons can be found at most big chain retailers in the US.

Very nice
Specifically, this is called a string of pearl arch.
Does it need to me all the same measurements
+Angie Zarate
Hi Angie

Could i just tie the ends to the table rather then using the weight.
Yes you could do that, you just need something that is heavy enough to hold the arch down. We also have table arch kits that you could use, the benefit of these is that they don't need helium! www.balloonmarket.co.uk/accessories/decorating-accessories/general-accessories/balloon-arch-kit-1
