    My physics teacher taught this to me more than 3 times but I couldn't understand, I watched this video once and now I just want to quit school and watch all your videos. For me understanding the concept is more important but they don't do it at school , they just teach us for the sake of scoring good marks . I want a teacher like you :)

    Our fluid mechanics prof literally skipped this part and continued as if it was explained, 95% of that lecture made 0 sense just because of that, now that i understand this it makes a whole lot more sense, thanks

    At 1:46 It'll be Force=Restoring force na rather than Force=Applied force because the restoring force is taken into account while lookin' into stress..

    if we calculate maximum shear strain energy for uniaxial case from distortion energy formula then it comes out to be (sigma)^2/6G. But according to formula 1/2G * (shear stress)^2 It comes out to be (sigma)^2/8G. How is this discrepancy coming?
