There was some RUclipsr who scored this fight with points, and they literally tied. I think that they (or at least Vin Diesel) have it in contract that they can’t lose a fight outright. Just as he stood on a platform so that he can look The Rock in the eye despite being 6” shorter than him.

I think in this particular moment, Brian realized just how dangerous Dom really is. If you remember sargent Tanner's words about how dangerous Domenic is from the first movie, you'll understand his reaction. If the first movie, Dom almost killed a man.
If one were to look for realism, I'd not try to find it among F&F movies, especially the later installments. These movies aren't trying to be realistic nor should they be. Popcorn fun is allowed.

There is no match between a street fighter and a specially trained fighter. Then again, there are exceptions to the aforementioned statement. Sometimes, not all the times, someone exceptional, will emerge victorious. A movie is a perfect place to showcase this exception and that is what I think the director intended.

I think all the hubbub about Diesel and Dwayne was that Diesel was an audience remembered hero in the first movie. Dwayne is used to being the ultimate hero and strongman, but this series let him be the strong man at 75% but he could never take over Diesel's fan base as the hero/anti-hero in the film. Diesel probably didn't help their relationship by being a smart actor who knows his position in the scheme of things.

Nah hobbs was a great addition, until they ruined his character in the next couple films hobbs should have kept this same serious personality

I can watch this scene a million times and it still doesn't convince me that Toretto can defeat Hobbs, especially considering that Vin Diesel is one of the film's producers and had the power to change history a little, enough it even sounds ridiculous because surely Toretto's victory in this scene was a request from Vin Diesel, as if he were a spoiled brat, and that's the only way for a Vin Diesel character to beat a Dwayne Johnson character in a frank beating.

There is no match between a street fighter and a specially trained fighter. Then again, there are exceptions to the aforementioned statement. Sometimes, not all the times, someone exceptional, will emerge victorious. A movie is a perfect place to showcase this exception and that is what I think the director intended.

I think all the hubbub about Diesel and Dwayne was that Diesel was an audience remembered hero in the first movie. Dwayne is used to being the ultimate hero and strongman, but this series let him be the strong man at 75% but he could never take over Diesel's fan base as the hero/anti-hero in the film. Diesel probably didn't help their relationship by being a smart actor who knows his position in the scheme of things.
