Note that Grenadier CoH 3 merge is superior to Conscript merge from CoH2. In CoH2, Conscripts that merge to a better squad gets their weapons (and effectively their offensive stats, since they get the versions of whatever weapons the squad is using si if cons merge to guards they get guards mosins and PTRS dealing more damage)....however their defensive stats stay the same, so the conscript models have worse received accuracy than if you just reinforce the Guards squad. (Note all infantry in CoH 2 except snipers have the same 80 HP, only difference is received accuracy) In CoH 3 grenadiers that merge to a superior squad, say Stoßtrupp gets their guns and defensive stats. The grenadier model immediately gets improved HP and received accuracy upon merge....this basically means that you can just reinforce with a gren squad instead of normally, since there's no tradeoff.
Haha, your pronounciation of the "ß" (sharp s) was really good. It's like in the word "nice". I think they invented that back then because some words would sound wrong when using a single "s" before a vowel. The first letter in "Stoßtruppen" is pronounced like in the english word "shit" though. :D

Another excellent quick guide. Thank you. The merge ability had escaped me before now.
Happy to help mate!

Ha, I even know that but didn’t realise I’d not pronounced it properly
