I have a 1000D, mine is nowhere as nice as your minty fresh radio. Thanks for showing it off. I love the plastic cover for the radio. It reminds me of how people would cover the living room furniture in plastic back in the 70’s. 👏🏻👍❤️📻
That is an absolutely beautiful Zenith radio!! this radio must have been kept in a really dry environment probably with that same cover on it and out of the sunlight for many years!! Anyway good luck with it and thanks for the video!!! John A Bellas at KC2UVN, 73's my friend!!
Absolutely beautiful perfect condition very hard to find these in such nice condition like it came out of the factory I have the 3000 in great condition I'm looking to find a 1000 I once had one but traded it for something else wished I keep it very nice thanks for showing it :-)
Hard to find this Zenith radio in such great condition. The covering reminds me of an old girlfriend parents covered their furniture in similar clear material called Visqueen. Keeps the new look in.
Great video Bob, as always. Zenith doesn’t hold the “first” multi-band transistor set title. That belongs to the Magnavox AW100. Not as fancy, no chrome, but it did come out just before the 1000. The AW100 is more general coverage than the Zenith. I think the Zenith is a much better performing radio. The Zenith is definitely more collectible. Another way to add FM, just pair it with the Royal 2000. Again, great job.
I inquire you about the service of the same type of Radio from you about a month ago. I contacted 2 people from radio club in MD and it was referred to the member but there is no answer.
