I have a few thoughts about your video and I hope you take these and maybe reflect on some of them. I share the same kind of story of not being hireable when I graduated from high school. It wasn't until one of my friends asked me if I wanted to be a delivery driver for Dominos. A thing that I did when I was in my early 20s when I started hopping from job to job was talking with the manager directly and presenting myself even before being offered an interview. Once you get an interview it's not just about giving them the answers they want but it's also about how you carry yourself and if you're nervous and they can sense it they won't be as confident in keeping you and it's not easy. I still get nervous on job interviews and I'm almost 30 so it takes time. I will say you might have picked one of the worst times to get into Pokemon because as an on and off Pokemon collector that I am it's gotten so much more expensive especially the pop market. Stick to the collectables that you personally love and know the most about because you spread yourself and your money thin by having your hands in multiple buckets when you aren't making any income at the moment. plus it's a little taxing on your mental to be worried about so many collectable markets it's best to be organized about it and concise. I wish you luck on your employment hunt. I'm very lucky I got the job that I did recently. If you want to talk more about anything else feel free to comment back. :)
@@chrispbaecon hey man I appreciate you commenting on the video especially since I was not expecting someone to comment at all and really appreciate you giving me some amazing advice as well so I thank you.😊😊😊 And the part where you said was talking to the manger directly even before being offered an interview too me sounds more professional and confident on wanting the job my only issue is that I not sure if using that tactic still works in this economy in 2024 and more when 2025 comes as far as I seen maybe different from you and other people but for me it’s mostly either apply online or they will give you an application and fill it out from places I have seen and went too I have talk to employes from different jobs which tell me the same thing apply online or get an application but like you said it would hurt to talk to the manger directly before being offered and interview. Also people said to apply during the seasonal holidays since you have a higher chance to get hired not sure if that’s true or not and the part to not get nervous is kinda hard 🤣ngl plus I have seen new faces at stores that I applied to and if it’s not giving them the answer that they want I found that crazy ngl cuz some manger would want the answer they want to hear or want to see what hours, availability,or days they looking to work and they would automatically get the job but again maybe different for everybody but that’s what I experience from. And the part of getting into Pokemon at the wrong time I was aware of the many flaws but it seemed a bit more calmed down then the scenario when getting into Pokemon during the 2020-2021 era and even if I chose not to get into collecting this year it was probably gonna be the same next year and even if I chose to get into Pokemon back then I couldn’t cuz I had no way of income slash me still in school which is why I had to put a stop to collecting Pokemon cards until I had a way of income. And yeah it’s better to stop and wait to have income then buying stuff when not able to get income and while I put Pokemon on a hold I decided to collect some PlayStation and Nintendo game in the mean time since they are not to expensive where I’m not gambling for a chance to have a card worth something where if I buy a game it will always hold value and if I ever decide to sell it I can break even on it so it’s a win win for me either way.😎😎😎 And yeah as of today yesterday I had a McDonald interview which is my 3rd interview but haven’t gotten no call or email so most then Likely didn’t went thru with me which still make me sad and depressed cuz I’m in urgently needing a job cuz of things happening in my life right now which isn’t good and the more time passes by of me not getting a job get me more depressed with depression but I’m hanging in their and hopefully soon I get a job. But again thank you so much and commenting and give me some amazing advice really appreciate from the bottom of my heart thank you thank you thank you really means a lot to me 😊😊😊
