Damn childhood, i miss those days.. Where the only important thing that you had in your mind, was " Having fun ". You didn't think about the future, about what you would become.. Just having fun with your friends, and on video games, and dreaming about that. It's not the same thing anymore..
Grow up, life isn't that bad. You sound like the kind of guy who would be the most happy as an artist. Go learn an instrument or purchase oil pastels, and you will be a child again. If you aren't happy with your job, switch it to another one. If you are depressed, start to do sports. Even running outside in the field will help your mood. But most of all, art will make you use your imagination and feel like a child.
Straight Killa .. I pratice piano in a conservatory, and i want to become piano teacher and to do that all my life. So you are right! It's not the fact that i'm not happy here, i'm am. Just thinking about the past make me being nostalgic.
FroZy We all have a Inner Child In Us, our Childhoods are close to Us, Video Games, Books, TV Series, They just have a special place In our Hearts, I was pretty Adventurous as a Kid and loved the Enviorments of most games, even the Forrest. What makes Me wanna become a Composer Is the music here for Rayman, DOOM, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Banjo-Kazooie, and Mother 2. Nothing really Inspires Me to be an Artist, but I LOVE drawing, I just need to have the skills. But We all can agree that We have a Inner Child, and Ofir, I'm sure You do too, just show the Nostalgia and such. c:
I feel like this soundtrack is actually really underrated. Maybe it's just all the nostalgia, but this is still one of the better game soundtracks out there in my opinion.
I have a new level of respect for my mother. She played this game, beat all the levels, AND let me play sometimes. I was a little kid, so I probably wasted all her lives.
Rest in peace, Remi. Hard to believe you're gone but I'm sure you're in a better place now.

Me llama la atención que, según dijo Remi, la primera composición, Picure Perfect, no es de su autoría. Después de tantos años aun queda la duda y el misterio de a quien le corresponde esta composición.
I wonder if this game was ever play tested. I mean, sure, it's not that buggy and the level design is good...for the most part... but the difficulty is just too much.
I used the got damn 99 lives cheat, and that AND all continues went away with that fat fuck. The first boss fight was already pushing it! Add in the levels, I barely had twenty or so lives by the end of it. And on top of that, being my first time making it that far at the time, I had no frikkin clue I had to keep hitting the washing machine. I kept dodging fucking pots and lasers, looking for an opening that was already there.
Kratsac In order for that, It just has to have Heart put In It (much like the Mother series), It just brings out Inner Child and makes You remember when You were Adventurous, didn't have a care In the world, and just played, watched, listen to things We loved. That's pretty much the beauty of Rayman, and It's still great to this day. But the Original Trilogy will always be the ones with Heart and Soul put In them (I loved Origins and Legends, but Still).
Rayman was the first playstation 1 game i ever bought, i got it when i was 7 now 18, and it is in imaculate condition, and i still got my ps1 i adore this level
1:36 -- This music just makes me think of a simpler time, playing Rayman on my Playstation as a kid. It sounds silly, but this stuff is actually pretty heartfelt.
I remember I could never get here until many years later, and I would fall in love with the music and aesthetics shown in the demo clips at the title screen. Little did I know, the part shown was only the easy part - even the section immediately after the demo is rather crazy with the ceiling spikes + pencils going in and out of ink.
"Sorrowful Tazmily", "Bon voyage, amigo", "Fun naming", "Tragic reconstruction", "Mind of a thief" were all good sound tracks that portrayed feelings and events really, really good, making you "experience" those events and feelings rather than playing them. Also, the multitude of "In the room" remixes give a strong feeling too, such as "Elegy of Emptiness" that plays in the elders house, it really makes you sad for them.
1990's itself. Great Decade. Everything was so much more perfect back then. Video games had class and grace, music, gameplay, replay value, everything, except the one thing people overhype today, graphics, which don't make a game at all. Movies weren't retarded, e didn't have stupid shows, and music was a lot better back then. I'm glad I grew up with the Super Nintendo and everything else that made my childhood wonderful. Sadly, R.I.P to today's society. u.u
Rose-tinted glasses and nostalgia are a deadly mix. I love the 90's, no debt, no drought worries for Oz, but I only look back on it fondly because it what made up the bulk of my childhood.
I swear this song didn’t click until I saw someone get married …. The sound of the violin playing made me envision a wedding and it fits perfectly …..THIS SONG CAN BE USED AS A WEDDING SONG…..
After playing both PS1 and PC versions of it, there are actually quite a few differences in some of the levels. The first level of Bongo Hills is completely different for a start. Both good versions though
For some reason the first music reminds me Ace death and Luffy begin to cry at Marineford. The first three Rayman games are the best 3.15 Space Mama crater boss music only Psx version
@RealMisterio3 TBH, Rayman Origins (which was also done by Michael Ancel :D) has some horrendously hard bits too...especially the Tricky Treasure and Livid Dead levels.
RIP childhood, 1996-1998 grade 2-5 playing this throughout. getting the 100 percent. This stage was especially difficult. I died sooo many times on Pencil Pentathlon and space mama....
the type of music that makes me hate growing up i never got to play rayman 1 when i was younger, the only way i ever got to play Rayman 1 was through the Rayman Redemption fangame (which is the original game but expanded, remixed, and improved). If i had played Rayman 1 when i was 7 years old i would be more than tearing up listening to this
the 4th 1 makes me feel like im in a flower garden and laying on a bed with all white sheets with a fresh breez coming to me and the ocean view before my eyes
oh hell...i remember when i got the gameboyadvance + this as my first game :-D was a wonderfull time...i miss childhood so much- carefree, just having fun
@NamelessATM the first song is magical, this music is very very better than the Origins music, Rayman origins sucks!! we want a Rayman with good music like this!
I wasn't saying the soundtrack was bad, just that it wasn't really the best. It didn't feel as original or as clever as Rayman's or Earthbound's. I do love some tracks from it like A railway in our village? for example is one of my favourites from any soundtrack, I just think this one is better.
My childhood ps1 games: 1. Spyro 2: (Ripto's Rage / Gateway To Glimmer) 2. Rayman 1 3. Croc......allof the croc games for ps1 this isn't in any order of any sort, just numbered for any reason, BEST PS1 GAMES OF OUR MEMORIES! WHO'S WITH ME!!!???
I remember playing this game 10 years ago or so... This is so nostalgic to me, hearing and watching the gameplay over again :) I remember getting buttraped over and over again, on that music map (dunno the name).. Now 10 years later, I'll try and get the game, and finally defeat it this time!
@palikadude Glad to know I'm not the only one who's never made it past Band Land. I thought it was just me lol. This game is bloody hard. And to this day I've never beaten it. I first played it when I was about 5 and I'm nearly 21 now lol.
Rayman is probably the most frustrating game i ever played. I remember playing band land over and over again just to gain extra lives to be able to beat the caves and picture city.
Even though i lost my Rayman 1 game (which i hate myself for) on my ps1, i remember playing this, and Crash Bandicoot as a kid. My dad even remembers these games... as others said, i m a bit heartfelt by hearing this music, even though i don't think i really ever made it past Band Land as a kid (i have Rayman Advance, its not the same tho :/)
@finthallon mine just works on windows 7 with music. i dont really know how i did it but i think i moved the rayman files inside the dosbox files i think, not sure
i always wished the first song there would go on a bit more, seems like its just reaching the good part. Thats the unpredictable nature of rayman though!
Damn childhood, i miss those days..

+FroZy memories...my feels... i agree with you!
It's a great honor to have played this masterpiece during childhood.
This game has an audiovisual atmosphere that only a few games nowadays have. It's like art.
It's pure art. The whole thing!!!! Graphic layout gameplay music tunes characters.....
@@kevinortiz1411 the only thing not art is the level design.
Especially the cage hunting is bad with its find the spawn trigger.
@@NisseDood I heard it was because of time constraints, they did not have a beta testers. That's why this game is so ludicrously hard
I feel like this soundtrack is actually really underrated. Maybe it's just all the nostalgia, but this is still one of the better game soundtracks out there in my opinion.
This song used to make me cry
It will still make you cry
Of pain!
From what?
FROM ANGER
HAHAHAHAHA
This the song You play the funeral
어릴적의 내 추억
I still play this game, today I started again, 15 years after
I have a new level of respect for my mother. She played this game, beat all the levels, AND let me play sometimes. I was a little kid, so I probably wasted all her lives.
Ashley Hunte you little monster!
Mine, too. Love it! ❤️🔥
Your mother was a real platforming goddess
1:35 was and still is my favourite song in the game. NOSTALGIA!!
At this point my controller was being introduced to the wall multiple times.... so fricking hard!
It was nigh on impossible to keyboard this game.
L-O-L! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆 Yas this game was incredibly hard. They made it that way! Wanted us to suffer and rejoice at the same time with the music. Darn fiends.
what an accurate picture of one of the trickiest spots on this level
Rest in peace, Remi.

what memories :) the most difficult level of all in my opinion
The greatest soundtrack ever made in my opinion.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who is stuck on Space Mama after all these years
aren't we all? But the best way to beat this game is to enter the cheat to get to the end of the level. And I still lost, God, this game is hard!!!!!
I wonder if this game was ever play tested.
I mean, sure, it's not that buggy and the level design is good...for the most part... but the difficulty is just too much.
That just goes to show there are people who have way more patience than we do

+Le Docteur ubisoft themselves said they barely play tested the game.
Guess they were jerks even back then XD
holy fuck. how a VIDEO GAME has a soundtrack with such emotions.

i´ve never played Mother, but i know there is much emotion in the music, too
Thank you so much for posting this!
Damn...This music is amazing ! Beautiful and very artistic
This Music did me remind of the old times I played this game..
Thanks for uploading :')
I could sit and listen to this for days
This game is such a masterpiece... Good, good memories. :'(
Rayman was the first playstation 1 game i ever bought, i got it when i was 7 now 18, and it is in imaculate condition, and i still got my ps1 i adore this level
My first game too, I bought it with oddworld aves odysee in 1998
1:36 -- This music just makes me think of a simpler time, playing Rayman on my Playstation as a kid.
It sounds silly, but this stuff is actually pretty heartfelt.
Love the rainbow paint
I love the music tracks! This one is my favorite!
This video is from '08, I was a teenager during that year. I'm turning 31 soon.
OMG, time flies.....

Oh God... The memories!
You sir, are a God for uploading this.
OMG this brings back so much awesome memories :D i love it~~ thankyou :D
I come to remember this beautiful game that marked my childhood, that music is beautiful
Oh that lovely music breaks my heart.
The first one should be a national melody or something!
I was listening to the music of this game with a lot of nostalgia, but the first music of this video gave me the urge to play again.
I played Rayman 1 and Rayman 2: the Great Escape. Rayman 1 is my favourite, even though it is ridiculously hard.
this just reminds me of when my only care in the world was nothing at all.
no music makes me as nostalgic as the reyman 1 sundtracks
Great soundtrack and great background too. Can't remember many 2D platformers during the old days with a background picture like Rayman's
1996... great year!
Exactly. I grew up on Rayman as well, and the graphics were good, but not too flashy, just the right blend.
Piano is just...Great!!!
The big problem was space mama
+Pompeicars True.
yeah but she's hot
.............not going to judge...........
Space mama was a big pain.
Hardest boss in Rayman 1
I love how the music is so beautiful, but the level is really hard. I died so many times trying to complete Picture city.
there's just something so goddamn magical about this song. I love it.
best levels of rayman IMO
1990's itself. Great Decade. Everything was so much more perfect back then. Video games had class and grace, music, gameplay, replay value, everything, except the one thing people overhype today, graphics, which don't make a game at all.

RIP all people who created these amazing games:'(
90s games kicked ASS!!! even the kids games were cool
One hell of a level, but good music
Rose-tinted glasses and nostalgia are a deadly mix.
I love the 90's, no debt, no drought worries for Oz, but I only look back on it fondly because it what made up the bulk of my childhood.
The music in Picture City is truelly fantastic but I just hate most of the obstacles in that world 😃
I had a lot of fun playing in these particular stages. The third song kind of struck me as an 80's feel.
I swear this song didn’t click until I saw someone get married …. The sound of the violin playing made me envision a wedding and it fits perfectly …..THIS SONG CAN BE USED AS A WEDDING SONG…..
Just love this game and it’s beautiful soundtrack music 🎶

01:35 The best track in Rayman, in my opinion.
I agree and its too bad it only plays once no repeat.
@@moozartney I think it plays twice, first in the flying area and again in the rainbow area
My favorite songs of the game ❤
the first song is the perfect song to wake up on a saturday morning too
This, the blue mountains and the 1st stage of band land are my fav songs.
Something tells me that the music writer here had alot of freedom to do these tracks, these are just absolutely amazing for the playstation era.
Almost the digital circus outro
I LOVE RAYMAN AND THIS MUSIC
For some reason the first music reminds me Ace death and Luffy begin to cry at Marineford.
The first three Rayman games are the best
3.15 Space Mama crater boss music only Psx version
spoiler alert!
I'm only at Thriller Bark :c
Violins/cellos in the beginning = awesomeness.
So glad I kept this game. back when ubisoft was doing real work.
One of the music in the game...Ah these times are soo much better in musicial games !
@RealMisterio3 TBH, Rayman Origins (which was also done by Michael Ancel :D) has some horrendously hard bits too...especially the Tricky Treasure and Livid Dead levels.
The first song is so amazing and sad... it has a really magical and unique feeling, I know everyone says it but I wish I could just be a child again.
This is really nice

I want to return to the period when I was 8 years...
never got here :(
these levels were a pain in the ass!
i actually liked these levels. The most pain in ass was scorpion guy levels and rocky mountains :D
This game was so easy.
me either!!
The Rayman Music from Betilla the Fairy and Picture City sounded like the music from Walt Disney's Bambi.
