The fattest place on earth isn't in America.
The tiny Pacific island nation of Nauru holds that honor. At only 8.1 sq. miles, with a population of less than 10,000, the country's inhabitants have virtually become giants.
Ninety-five percent of the island's adult population is overweight, and 85 percent of the male adult population is obese, according to ABC News.
However, island natives haven't always been this fat. According to ABC, it wasn't until they began importing Western food that the population's size exploded. Now half of Nauruans suffer from Type II diabetes.
i eat all the food. my citizens are much skinny
Kim Jong -UNy u made my dy bro ~ i laughs to the extent I became skinny...
This comment is very hilarious.. Nice one!
North korea number one on least obesity in the world. Kim jong un is literally the only obese person in north korea lol
Kim Jong -UNy I eat food and I'm still skinny Wtf
🤣🤣🤣
Im Polynesian and what the guy said is 100% correct, Obesity in the islands is a COMBINATION of genetics and lifestyle changes. I dont see why its offensive to the other idiots on here, Polynesians evolved to having bodies that were genetically more efficient in storing minerals and vitamins in foods of island diets (sea food and vegetables) over centuries. This is the result of over 5000 years of travelling over vast areas of ocean waters with limited food supplies. Our bodies adapted in order to survive these journeys. When western foods were introduce, our bodies were absorbing and storing far more calories, fat than the body had been use to when consuming island food, As a result the very genetics that made us survive through out the centuries is now actually our own downfall when trying to survive today. Thats why its so easy for us Polynesians to put on weight muscle which can be a bonus if youre doing weight training but you must draw a fine line and not over do it
Great observation
But are they healthy, that's all that matters.
"Nauru is the fattest country."
Western Countries: *sighs in relief*
"The reason they are obese is because they imported in Western food."
Western Countries: "Oops"
JK
SkyStrike YOLO South/Southeast/East Asian countries left the group. 😆😂
Lol
I'll remove the jk for you
You do know america is only 36.47% obesity right
@@landontucker2866
"only" That's a ton.
Obesity is extreme. Talk about overweight: 70.2% USA, if you have 10 people, on average 7 are overweight, and half of those are obese. These both outnumber non-weight-related health-at-risk people, or what used to be called normal. That is severe; that is disturbing.
When I was in the Philippines a few years ago, I was overweight. I went out to buy a new pair of underclothing. To my dismay, none of the ones I found fit. When I asked an employee for my size, she said, "Oh, American size is over there." I instantly became aware of my size. When I got back to America, I realized that most people are overweight! I instantly signed up with a Muay Thai class and started exercising.
Are you still fat? Or alive?
How are you doing now
@@delgado8 by the looks of their channel, it looks like they explore the outdoors and seem to be doing really well in life.
I understand where you’re coming from, of course, it’s true, but in some ways you can argue against that, because scientifically Asians are smaller than most Americans or Europeans or South Americans, or Africans, etc.
@@AnecdotalPoet Hmm Koreans are the tallest Asians (Oriental Asians), but their height is comparable those of the Western people. I think living standard and diet have something to do with height also. Since most of the countries in Asia are developing it is only normal that they are smaller than western countries. Japan...a rare exception. A country that is rich but their citizens are "short" western standards. It may have something to do with their diet and food consumption. It is known that Japanese eat less that those of the westerners. Asia in general consume less food, compared to westerners.
Nauru is also very fat because it is so isolated and there is no room for agriculture so fruit and vegetables are very expensive to import and therefore having a healthy diet is difficult.
It also doesn't help that ninety percent of the population is unemployed.
What do you mean by there's no room for agriculture? Is it because the land is not fertile, or the land area is so small that there's no space for farming? I would think being an island, their diet would mostly be seafood-based. Unfortunately, this is the trend happening in most non-Western cultures. People have abandoned their old ways of living. But it's never too late, at least for the younger generation. Maybe increasing import taxes on these unhealthy foods would help.
They basically strip mined almost all 8 square miles of the island, without thinking long-term. Now they're basically like "we should have managed are money better and not relied on other countries to feed us". I can't believe out of 9,000 plus people not a single one of them continued to farm after striking it big, surely one would realize the poop revenues wouldn't last forever.
MistaTofMaine It just comes to show that greed blinds people.
MistaTofMaine It's really sad to see what's happening.
Americas greatest export? Fat, heart disease, diabetes. We should be so proud.
+FrequentFlier Anon Genetic my ass
America LOL, this is not America asswipe. They can eat whatever they want, they decided to east western food, its their problem, nobody is forcing them to eat it.
Food actually has quite addictive qualities. Pair that with nutritional ignorance and you have the recipe for an unhealthy lifestyle. The idea that it's all about personal choice is really quite stupid. Why do you think it is that people in one region of the world or a country happen to have more people who are overweight, and others have people who are less likely to be? It's not simply choices, or personal responsibility or whatever other simplistic explanations people give. It has more to do with environment, culture, and knowledge. Clearly there is a reason Polynesians have high obesity rates, let's get to the root of the problem and fix it rather then point fingers at people and tell them they are making bad choices.
latengocomoburro Unless it raises healthcare prices and actually kills other people because so many fat people are raising prices
FrequentFlier Anon I agree and whenever someone says "I have an eating disorder" I get mad because if I have a drinking disorder does that mean driving drunk and killing people is okay?
McDonalds, Burger King and all this shit stuff is poison
If you are obese you should be given 1 year to lower your body mass to acceptable levels. If you fail to do so you are put into fat camps and forced to do so and maintain it once you get out with oversight watching you for the rest of your life.
It would be impossible to create such camp and enforce it when their entire government is fat like the rest of the population.
acerimmeh
Well that is historically correct, though concentration camps might be a bit extreme.
Wacko
LOL! This sounds like the best idea! I'm sick of being around slobby and smelly fat asses.
This sounds like the plot for a great dystopian novel/movie. Get to work on it!
The reporter is driving you nuts, how about you driving me nuts.
I'm an islander. Yes, it's the food. I think it's the preservatives in the food. I remember eating at home in the islands when I was a kid, and all the foods were either steamed or grilled fresh out of the garden and the ocean. Now, I eat fish sandwich at Mcdonalds.
I like how just because this is about obesity and everyone has it in their head that America is not only the fattest in numbers. But fattest per capita (which isn't even somewhat true), everyone has forgotten what per capita actually means.
I'm not being funny, but America as a country is of a huge population in comparison to this island. Therefore moving the responsibility of fastest people on earth to a tiny island will not resolve the high population of Americas obesity problem. I have been fortunate enough to meet the people of simoa and tonga and awe islands and although most of the older generation are a little overweight their younger generations strive in fitness. most of the younger generation are extremely healthy, fit and strong. also if we get down genetics they are actually 3x the size of a average white person. most of the people tend to end up farming, playing professional rugby or other sports for example nfl teams and so on or they end up as soldiers. I think America should stop and have a look at their population of obesity before blaming others. personally I feel that people should have more education about the effects of obesity and then allow fresh food and vegetables to cheaper and more available, and certain fast food chains should be put to a end. someone at the end of the day is making a absolute fortune of someone being fat.
I understand what you're saying but no one is trying to distract for the issues in America, the point was that WESTERN, PROCESSED FOOD IS bad for everyone. Just because ABC and TYT covered this does not mean that they think the U.S. Is the healthiest place on earth, if anything it was the opposite, showing the serious dangers "our" foods pose to us and other cultures as well. All the best :)
*from not for, sorry the edit function is not working
thank you for that. Being Samoan myself, I do see our younger generation in Samoa are mostly fit and healthy. We only see the problem of them being overweight when they are outside the islands and eating the western processed food.
Exactly my point ^_^
natalie curry Thank you speaking up for my generation. She's right. Some of us actually try to lose weight. This kind of judgement gets to my head and I think some of my friends agree. With all the special sports programs going on like volleyball soccer and football we have a blessing and that is sports programs. Even programs like jrotc help us to lose weight. Our generation is a lot more privileged than our parents' or grandparents' generation. Sometimes you NEED to lose weight to be able to survive high school. My generation is blessed af. And I'm glad that we are.
If the island sank, they could call it : ''Fatlantis''
+Ola Uteligger lol
+Ola Uteligger Ouch making fun of fat people is not funny at all.
AAAAAAND we got ourself a social justice warrior.
PC bro?
Ola Uteligger Whatever you like man.. Don't make fun of fat people.
Lol.
You are dense mate.
holy shit , all these islanders are so angry in the comments , have an open mind for fucks sake , if you don't speak the problems the problems will remain
What an ignorant news reporter fascinated by how good their English is? Really? Americans need to understand that most people in europe, Asia, Pacific Islands ect. can speak more than one language. They're sophisticated in regards to their ability to communicate in more than one tongue. American's are too limited by their glorification of the English language as universal.
He was not comparing their english to other countries you idiot.
Who is cenk to be calling others fat?
+Batallion What? He has every right to call someone fat, its what they are
+Creepy Guy Parents Tell Their Kids To Avoid But he's a fat ass himself.
wow 8 miles can be covered 3 hours just walking. I've hiked 20 miles in one day a few times and only took me 10 hours with breaks. Lighten up on grease, pave a promenade and get some bicycles people will be slimmer in no time
That will just make them hungrier.
+loh1110 lol that's ok...having more muscles increases metabolism burning more fat and naturally eat more food
America:we got the fattest people
Nauru: I’m about to end this nations whole career

@@kapuu1073 USA is known to be the fattest country in north america

You know what's funny? Im eating pizza while watching this! Lol
It looks like the happiest country on earth. I wanna go!
Em not until you get sick.
Are you high? Looks depressing as fuk!
native Americans have same problem these days, so yes you are right
Em, me too! actually I can see myself living full time on this beautiful island, I'll eat only veggies and fruit.
Em it is if you go there lots of people will greet you
The islanders are the biggest people on earth - Musclewise aswell - way stronger than any other people
source?
Pauline Potter Yes, I am a Maori. There is no evidence to suggest we're any different o anyone else. Fat people are just fat, and Islanders ahve no excuse for being fat.
Not to brag but I know that first hand.
Hate to break it to you, but those peoppe are not overweight because of muscles. Thats fat
chazzatheninja Read something a while back that said Pacific Islanders and some Micronesian and Melanesian adults had higher bone density compared to European adults. When I find it I'll link ya
Dude, I want a house there.
Finally a place where you will always be the fittest person there.. Also very sad ;(
As biology student at university, I heartily endorse Cenk's theory.
I thought the fattest place on Earth was Ohio.
No
+JC Denton that was unnecessary.

Lol this fool has no scientific reasoning behind his theory 😂
Educated guess my ass 😂
Would be cool to have such super bodies with lower power consumption rates though xD
"The reporter is driving me nuts. HE IS DRIVING ME NUTS." Just like YOU are driving ME nuts. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Visited Yap and Palau in 2016 and the omnipresent obesity struck me.
During some talks with pretty talkactive inhabitants I understood that indeed, it is a combined problem of little to no physical activity and malnutrition. Before they had to paddle their canoes, fish, work their taro patches, gather and prepare coconut... hard physical work rewarded by modest caloric food.
Then they sold the fishing rights in their waters to foreign countries and with the money came the possibility to import cheap (and unhealthy) western food. One trip to the local chinese owned groceries shop evidenced that people are favoring chips, frozen ground meat, canned bear and candy. You'll find very little local fish, vegetables or fruit. On top of that, the climate being hot and humid, any physical activity is strenuous, so people naturaly avoid it. They prefer to sit around, talk, drink, eat and chew their betel nuts. Sad but true: when we were doing our diving there, a group of elderly germans were too. They took up diving only recently, but knew each other from their common hobby, which was "Dragonboat Paddling" (sort of chinese inspired canoe paddling) They asked the locals if they could rent a paddlecanoe somewhere. The islanders were a bit surprised and amused, but eventually organized two canoes and took the germans for a little tour of the laguna. As we later learned, they had a little race at some point and the german elders were totally astonished as to how easily they toasted the locals. Seems like the art of paddling is next to lost among the local population...
get some better stories rather than labelling .. smh
+BrinkersMad They're a bunch of fat fucks. Reality sucks
Creepy Guy Parents Tell Their Kids To Avoid it really does for these fat fucks sad
BrinkersMad All of them probably blame genetics xD
I think that the cultural angle is also important here. In many SW pacific nations there was a historical precedent that only the wealthy members of society were fat (you've got to be able to afford a lot of food to get fat of a fish based diet). Being fat became associated with wealth, and so there was no social taboo about becoming fat, in fact it was accepted to the point of being encouraged. Obesity being a sign wealth + western junk food = obesity epidemic.
lol thats amazing. Imagine saying to your parents "Hey guys, I'll be right back, im just going to go on a quick walk around the entire island."
I love these two commentators together....btw dude was exactly right about the genetics. In times of scarcity....those with fast metabolisms DIE...only the slow metabolism people live to pass on their genes.Exactly same thing happened w Native americans particularly navajo.
Really? Speculating on how they evolved?
Had more fun reading the Subtitle Captions. Hahaha
HAHA im sorry but your theory is wrong, no such thing as ever being a food shortage in Samoa, since the world wide flood, if theres one place on the planet ull never go hungry its Samoa mate, everywhere u look theres foods of all types growing around you, that's why the parts of samoa that are the least affected by western influence still live the biggest strongest healthiest people u will ever see
Rich King of course you will never go hungry, you just get hungry if u sit down and dont do anything, you want food,go to the plantation, climb the coconut tree,go fishing, and bam,you be eating........after your parents eat lol
he's not talking samoa nauru
Yeah thats right but also no. Some of us affected by the western culture can still lose weigh cause the food is expensive af.

Jaks2much That list was put out by the U.N. not Americans. You probably don't know what the U.N. is so I'm sure that didn't help much...
Aaron Cuneio
dude my family is from dominica and ive been there recently....and they are by far not 71.1 % fat......in fact most people there are very slim......the fast food places that sprung up go out of buisness because few people want it....the hell did you get this list? What are you even talking about?
His assessment is pretty close to the bulls-eye. When I grew up in the south Pacific, it was feast and famine. Always cognizant of that, we loaded up, whenever we had a chance.
Perfect description of alcohol consumption habits too haha.
I'm American, live abroad, and have always been really skinny no matter what I eat (for health I do try to mostly eat foods with good nutrition). Almost all of my friends at home are not heavy, nor are the members of my family... who actually really love sports, are long distance runners, and value nutrition. I live in Ireland and my boyfriend's whole family is overweight and love their frozen freezer food constantly. And still I get the fat jokes.
"A small island but her people are BIG. VERY BIG" lmao no chill
wtf why does anybody on that island need to drive anywhere LOL
It takes days to drive around the island. It's bigger than it seems
+Vincent Herff I live there and have driven around the entire island. by that I mean Samoa. not Nauru.
Because fat people don't like to walk, and for some, the supermarket is across the island.
Captain Crook The same reason you drive the places you go.
Captain Crook Americans.... 😑
Yes genetics and western food played a part but why does no one mention common sense and self control?
Because , as we can see, the majority is too dump to do so .
Goh Modley
lol, I hope that was sarcastic.
Lmao. Firstly, because of the detrimental effects of the phosphate industry upon the island's environment, the island now only has limited fertile soil deposits... this in turn affects agriculture (meaning they can't really grow food). Secondly, Nauru is a coral atoll which means there is already little soil to grow fresh food. These two reasons alone are the primary reason why food needs to be imported to Nauru, because there is simply not that much available. THIRDLY, it is been scientifically proven that fatty foods (AKA western food) is highly addictive. These people rely on these foods as sad as it is. They aren't dumb, they're making do with what they got and they're experience the result of exploitation and globalization.
Oh god too much America in one post I can't do this....
everything was going okay with this until the guy started saying when they eat a normal amount of food their body stores more of it as fat then other people
All these islanders have to do is transition back to subsisting on fish, which is what most islanders traditionally ate, and whatever vegetables are indigenous to the island, and they will lose weigh and regain their health.
Being traditional hunter gatherers, their bodies will react the most adversely to a high refined carb and high sugar containing diet, which is what the Western diet is.
We all were hunter gatherers.
Samoans in Samoa are very healthy people. There's hardly seriously sick people there! They are healthy because they never lack food, they eat healthy, (natural food source), and they don't have homeless people. Only the Western world that has so many issues with health and foods, not the Polynesians. The majority of the aids come from black people. The majority of rotten teeth come from asian people. The majority of those with malnutrition come from Indian people and also Africans. The middle eastern world have been facing turmoil continuously with wars, homeless people and deaths. The lip issue of babies come from the Hispanic villages and countries, and The majority of cancer, diabetes, psychos and all kinds of bad unheard of issues, come from the United States of America. Samoa is a blessed island, as well as other surrounding islands as far as lands and food resources is concerned. The only thing we humans have in common, is that we all have different reasons of why we die, and that's normal for a life in a body of a moral human.
+wacko craco The Caribbean is still better.
Jerry 85g Beautiful!, but everywhere in the world is beautiful, it's the people who ruin things.
You started out nice than just shat on everyone. I hope that you were just making a poorly constructed joke because that was one of the saddest things I've ever seen.
Avivamae The truth hurts. But this is why we have people who are traitors, because we don't speak the truth.
You guys have no education on Polynesian history. The islands in this area did not have any shortages on food. The deep water around Samoa are some of the richest for pelagic fishing and the Polynesians were amazing conservationist. If anyone had a shortage of food it would be Rapa Nui but we know they were skinny tall people.
It's true there's a ton of fresh, healthy, low calorie foods surrounding this island but when 90%+ are fat AND receives federal aid for food aka food stamps, no one is going fishing. Why break a sweat when you can save that sweat for the extra food you'll be chewing to accommodate the ever growing body?
Healthy ppl(slim body) look at Islanders(huge body): "they look fat not fit".
Islanders(huge body) look at heathy ppl(slim body) : "they look weak not strong".
🤣🤣
I just realized the guy in the thumbnail is wearing a skato/urohs. (Skirts they make in the federated states of Micronesia) lol.
huh? we all know that's america
i want to leave my country and go live here...
Anyone homeless should as 90% of their population receives federal aid to buy food and stay fat forever.
I had to do a project on Nauru this past year, and it is a very interesting little island

I think an important part this video forgets to mention is, well, I see Nauru is a tiny place disconnected from every other places. Could mean it's hard to find different activities for locals to engage in, so I guess they spend their time watching tv and gobbling up food.
An elder Nauruan explains the phosphorous boom of the 70s
A police chief memorably bought a sleek yellow Lamborghini, only to find he was too portly to fit in the driver's seat. "We just didn't know how to handle it all," a barefoot islander told me as he played his guitar beneath a tree.
"Hardly anyone thought of investing the money. Dollar notes were even used as toilet paper," his friend told me. "It's true," he insisted seeing my look of disbelief. "It was like every day was party day."
If I lived there, I wouldn't even own a car, or any gas powered vehicle. You can literally walk everywhere there, maybe get a bicycle if you need to bring something with you. Every one of them could be fit as a fiddle if they would quit using that damn moped.
The health minister is like coach of a winless football team
1st Nauru, 2nd Cook Island, 3rd Tonga, 4th Samoa, 5th Hawaii. Is it the western food or the Taro? LOL
Apparently they love their corned beef in the Pacific, which has a very high fat content. I saw that in a similar report about Samoa a while back.
I'm doing a paper on Nauru and this video gave me cancer. That theory was stupid. I thought he was heading to the right direction when he mentioned the phosphate mining but then he went into a different direction. Because of the phosphate mining, 80% of the land is uninhabitable. They can't grow fruits or vegetables. Because they can't grow their own produce, they only eat fried rice from the hole in wall restaurants. He also even mentioned Nauru is dirt poor...you can't afford gourmet food when you're poor. Fast and greasy food is the only way to go.
Cenk, I wonder if your island metabolism theory might just explain why japanese are capable of attaining the mammoth proportions for sumo wrestling?
Ancient Polynesian pacific sailers went through bouts of famine on the open sea, so they evolved to have a very low metabolism to survive the long voyage on the ocean. Modern day Polynesian low metabolism combined with western processed foods causes them to be obese.
Does anyone find this extremely suspicious? First the small island is importing "western" foods, and then once everyone gets nice and fat a diabetic weight loss center is opened up.....
what do you expect, there is literally nowhere to run around and exercise on such a small island.
Swim instead... and sharks in the water will make them swim faster
the fattest place on Earth is a place where they don't label people as fat.
@RavenBlaze
Well said: I was thinking the same thing. People in the media should take care to use the proper terminology, especially on something as basic and fundamental as the difference between 'theory' and 'hypothesis'.
I eat a lot of bad food, sit down a lot, and i am still perfectly skinny LOL
I do too and I'm still skinny. We must both have fast metabolism. :D
Its not just a fast metabolism, its also genes. Its not exactly about what you eat its about how much you eat. Its all in the calories. If your a guy and want to gain then just: eat alot and lift weight. I would know when i was 16 i went from 120 to 164 with only 5% bodyfat. And it only took 1 year. Its just commitment. I worked out 6 days a week for a year and still going. Very simple you just have to make time to do it
Thanks for the tips dude. :)
And your arteries are full of fat and you'll have a heart attack before fifty.
Their culture also encourages eating very large amounts, eating is considered a social occasion to islanders in the region.
oh my god the transcribed audio is the best i've ever seen. "We hired a car and drove randy firefighting"
Alright, I'm Nauruan, and i'm gonna be honest.... we're fat... because we eat a lot of shit, we're being lazy. But, alot of Nauruans are weightlifters so I don't expect the island to be fat for much longer (laz fat, not strongman fat), the kids will probably take after their parents and put on muscle as well. That's all.
They lead the world in sugar consumption. Before sugar was imported to their island, they were all skinny. This is a
@Hemouth
He's pretty smart, yeah.
But I hope you're not saying that because of his, "theory", which should be a hypothesis, btw.
We store fat as a long-term energy store because thousands of years ago food was more scarce.
Now that we have refined sugar, such that they are already in monosaccharide format, they enter into our bloodstream all at once, and so we have to convert a lot of that glucose into fat and glycogen.
That is why sugar tastes sweet! We evolved around it.
The island is a 17 minute Potato lol
lol You guys should visit Sint Eustatius
It’s a island so it’s easy for them to have high obesity rates
It is not just that island but the entire human population that stores fat like that. Our whole species has the genetic code for the storing of fat.
You are so right.
Because he ACT like is absolutly confident and sure about what he says.
Like he never has any doubt about anything, and that is fake. You can feel it, and NOW you know WHY. :) Hope it helped
"I wouldn't go as far as to call the brother fat, he's Samoan, what's a nigga gonna do?" - Jules from Pulp Fiction.
The reporter is telling it to you just like it is.
His theory is correct. Pacific islanders and some Native Americans have what's called a "thrifty" gene, which causes the body to be very "thrifty" with the nutrients consumed and causes a slow metabolism as a result. This did in fact arise out of the adaptation to periodic famines. Good job Cenk!
It is not just western food, it is the cheap cuts of meat bought from New Zealand like brisket, which is mainly fat and a little meat.
The word is HYPOTHESIS, a guess based on observation. This is why people call evolution "just a theory" because they don't understand what a "scientific theory" is.
I'm sick of people calling their half-baked guesses, theories. Call them educated guesses or hypotheses.
5% of the ones that aren't fat will literally see a 2 generation maybe more gap. At some point, maybe 10-20 years that island will look more like a graveyard.
@Nayr747 The reason fast food restaurants use hydrogenated oils is due to their higher boiling points and longer shelf life. Deep frying requires very high temperatures and hydrogenated (saturated) oils have stronger chemical bonds than unsaturated oils (like olive oil), therefore withstanding higher temperatures. As a result, the smoke point is higher as well. There are many immediate economic benefits, but I agree that its not worth the health risk.
If you live on a 8-mile round island you have no excuse for having a vehicle.
Dear America, you are slipping from #1 in everything. Now you've been beaten by a little speck of an island who are #1 in fatties. It's not just western food, Indian food has a similar effect, the thing is that we've become sedentary and eating too much- even "ordinary" food becomes lethal when you're sedentry.
This hapened to certain Native American tribes also... Whenever an indigenous population whose diet consisted of primarily fruits, native vegetables, and wild caught fish, switches to packaged foods, soda, fatty cuts of meat etc. there will be health repercussions. This happened in a relatively short period of time... They have become sedentary- going to the supermarket, and not hunting, fishing, engaging in agriculture. The Papagayo tribe has one of the highest diabetes rates too.
LMFAO cenk, "they're larger than others"
Gotta love seeing people hate on America in whichever way they can. I only have 1 friend that's fat, the rest are as thin or built like me. And seriously, you're going to blame the US? That's like me importing a Ferarri from Italy, recklessly speeding on the highway---in the process causing multiple car crashes---and then saying "It's Italy's fault for making these damn cars."
This could come like a shock to you all, but the US isn't the fattest country in the world, it's Australia.
for a long time, I kept thinking it was America, when I did the research, it turned out to be Australia!
I was half-expecting the camera man to record everyone from the neck down. Isn't that how the media encourages its film crews to gather footage for stories to do with fat people?
When I watched this, the video started and then stopped to play the Luminosity ad. I hate it when that happens.
why is it always someone else's fault when people get fat? no one is forcing anyone to eat bad food. on an island that small, there's no excuse for anyone to be fat...you should be able to walk everywhere.
I bet the people of Nauru give great hugs!
