With no disrespect to anyone else in the show, Melissa was the best thing to come out of this whole Supergirl show project... I tried to be there for the show, but it lost me in the direction and how it told stories and where its priorities laid. I hope someday to see Melissa back in the role in major crossovers, but it was a good time to end the show's run as I haven't watched for awhile.
She will be back during some arrowverse crossovers. I'm pretty sure she was going to be in the recent one. It's fine though, will be cool to see when she will return.

I agree that she was the best when it came to her acting in the part, but make no mistake, the cast was very on board with the bad priorities and the direction. Even when the ratings plunged, they always did not care. That is why it is going out on a whimper

Goodbye Mellisa Benoist, you are and were and will always, in my mind be, the best and most wholesome Supergirl. Lover of potstickers, funnier girl cousin of Superman that is actually stronger than him and your series gave us Tyler Hoechlin, the silliest Superman that's just as good as Supergirl. Enjoy life outside of the Arrowverse, but always know, you are the best Supergirl that has ever been.

That just was basically impossible with covid. Callista doesn't like being away from her family for long, so I doubt she would have happily done a 2 week quarantine + 2 weeks+ for the acting. And for the last few episodes of filming of Supergirl she was in the UK with her husband anyway.

I'm a little disappointed with this tribute, too many people and not enough time for everyone to talk about the show and how important it was to them. Anyway, I'll miss this cast, especially the female cast, they shined. And I hope Melissa can go back to being Supergirl at some point, she's perfect for the role and deserved better than what the CW gave her.

As much as I don’t care for the later seasons of Supergirl, I must admit that, imo, Melissa Benoist is my favorite Supergirl live action portrayal ever. I hope you find more great opportunities for work, Melissa. You are the very best Supergirl in my eyes 😁😁
I love Melissa’s portrayal too but saying she’s your favorite live action Supergirl isn’t saying much given that there is only one other live action Supergirl and that version was from a Helen Slater’s 1984 movie which was an epic disaster.
@@nikunjdixit3225 There's also Laura Vandervoort for Smallville, but she was somewhat underutilized in the series itself as far as I recall.
@@bigcreator2084 Laura was used quite good in the series. Had some great action scenes, taught Clark about his heritage, and to fly. Had some great saves as well as protecting Clark. My absolute Supergirl.
@@nikunjdixit3225 There was also Laura Vandervoort of Smallville. Who taught Clark about his family/origins, taught him to fly several times, protected him several times, had a few great action scenes, was stronger, fiercer, more confident and intimidating. And hotter.

I've been watching Supergirl since S2. It is my favorite tv show. It was my introduction to the Arrowverse which became my favorite shows overall. Thank you Supergirl cast!

Ahhh, I will miss these people and the show deeply. I remember scrolling through Netflix, skipping over supergirl a bunch of times cause everyone told me how bad it was or how poorly made it was. But I decided to watch it, and lemme tell you, I regretted not watching it sooner! I binge watched the 5 seasons on Netflix in probably a month. I would watch cast interviews and the comic-con interviews, I think I've seen all of them honestly. And the bloopers! Those were the best! Can't wait for those! I got to watch the final season as it aired which was hard, you know. I just found this new love for this show and it was ending within the next year or so. I almost didn't watch the final two episodes because of how much I was crying before I even pressed play. Especially during the wedding scene, I probably cried the hardest during that. Oh man, my heart hurt when the last supergirl logo flashed on the screen. I was happy to see cat again! I do appreciate the open ending though it was also a cliff hanger. But hopefully by fan fiction people can write some more great stories. The last thing I want to say is how much I adore Mel. She truly is the real life supergirl. Her attitude, her story, what she stands up too, just wow. Truly made me a better person, knowing that you don't have to struggle alone. Thank you, and bless you to all my fellow supercorp shippers, we were robbed, but thats okay because it was an open ending (anything could happen😏) -el mayarah.
I watched all of the shows 3 at a time through all of the seasons 3 times. I know that's silly but I was hooked and I had to think about why. It was the relationships. They had such beautiful friendships. Game night, karaoke in the tavern, warm hugs, giving favorite foods, having each other's backs in the fights... They had friendships the way I'd always dreamed about and couldn't find.
Pretty surprising that some actors are Bri'ish in real life, but play an American character.

Say what you will about the CW shows, the people involved just always seem to care so much and that’s why I keep watching. And it does mean so much to people, regardless of anyones opinions on it these shows *mean* something to people.

The start of this show coincided with my first year out of college living on my own, working my first FT job. I really resonated with Kara/Supergirl from the start and feel like we've both grown up together over the past 6 years. I'm sad to see the show go, but I've had a lot of fun watching it. Thank you all for sticking with it and telling these stories, even at times trying to reflect what was happening in the real world to inspire compassion in viewers. You will be missed (especially in crossovers)!

DC please take supercorp to the comics now. Melissa and KATIE McGRATH were phenomenal in acting and gave us this couple. That even having boycotted was the couple who supported the series.

i never thought i would enjoy watching Supergirl despite its lackluster effects in CGI, but in reality its the characters that make you care and want to watch this show and how its going to end and that goes for the other ArrowVerse shows💜💜, Arrow, The Flash, Black Lightning, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman and others💜
I hope some of these characters will appear in Superman and Lois.
