    I recently broke my hand, just a few weeks after I started drawing. Now I can't draw precisely, but I learned from you that it is perfectly fine to sketch very loosely and embrace "mistakes" like wobbly lines or colours moving out of their intended boundaries. Thanks for this important lesson!

    I’d say you are renowned and you’ve definitely inspired many people to just get on and sketch, including me. Wobbly lines and no pressure for perfection. 😁

    Wow, what an interesting video and concept today! Quite fascinating indeed. Love your style and philosophies. The AI got a few things right and maybe some of your essence but there is only one Toby Urban Sketch ✍️! And renown! Thanks as always and cheers from Minnesota!

    There will always be an outlet for art in our sketchbooks. AI can never take that from us; it’s an urge that we get and need to vent and only picking up a brush and a piece of paper will vent that urge. 😊

      @@TobySketchLoose I'm coming in from a very different direction. I'm designing a card-based RPG and as such, it has a TON of art to do. I started with AI art for placeholders (but decided it should be placeholder only), then I started commissioning pieces from Fiverr, but still, none of it matched what I really wanted (and I had spent a solid chunk of money). I tried my hand at a single character card and then my wife bought me an iPad with Procreate on it.
      From watching YOUR videos, I have decided to draw ALL the art over in a loose watercolor urban sketch style. I just want to say, that you've given me the confidence to actually just do it and I'm so happy!
      Thank you for your inspiration and the permission to just do it. Yay!

    This was an interesting video. I enjoyed when you showed the watercolour techniques.
    I had noticed that when you paint you get a very different effect to many other water colour artists I follow. Nice to see how that is achieved.

    The answer I got "Toby Urban Sketch is a hypothetical artist, and there isn't specific information about his sketching technique as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021. However, assuming Toby Urban Sketch specializes in urban sketching, which typically involves drawing and painting cities, towns, and villages, here are some general tips to help you sketch in the urban style:"

    I don't think you can follow your style without actually watching your videos. A description isn't enough. I also noticed you have a Windsor and newton 25 percent cotton watercolour pad. Is it any good. Does the 25 percent cotton make any difference?

    • @TobySketchLoose
      @TobySketchLoose  Год назад

      Cotton is more absorbant - realistically, for this style, no it doesn't make much differnece.

    In the video you deduct that chatgpt is "following" you. This is not the case. There is your website which contains a lot of text about your art that chatgpt may have ingested. And all of your videos have an automatically generated transcript - just press the Breadcrumps right of the thanks button. This text may also be a source of your own words that the gpt model may have ingested upon training.
