I wish I could stop watching this- I have so many things I need to be getting on with today....but every episode is making me go 'just one more'!!!
I know the feeling lol, I always plan on watching one or two episodes at night after I put my son to bed n always end up watching 5+ episodes n staying up til 3/4am nearly every night gahhhhh lol. Strong tea is a must after waking up after a night of prisoner ;)
+Lamp Shade THIS!!!!
+Holly McGinley I have the exact same problem even though its my third time thru
Awwwww, I love you xx
Prisoner is just too addictive!
"it's blacker than vera's heart" lol
Bea : Crikey, we got more coppers than a kids money box 😂😂
😅😅😅😅😅
Yeah would love it if all episodes of sons and daughters was available!!!😊
love Beas comments at the beginning of this episode when Bea is looking out of her cell window. 'Blimey there's more coppers out there then a kids money box' and then when Lizzie is moaning to Bea that she can't see out of the same window and Bea say's 'you can't see anything anyway it's darker out then Vera's heart'. Brilliant Bea's comments are always making me laugh.
Even thou , you don't see no window in there normally.
But obviously they do have some great lines
She should have said, 'its as dark as Vera's heart. Vera hasn't got much of one! Only when it comes to Lizzy when she's not faking a heart attack. Then Bea calling Lizzy 'ya silly old trout ' 😅😅😅
@@Halfscotboy_39
Lizzie & Vera have some touching moments together, when Vera shows that she does have a heart, although it is hidden in a cold hard shell.
"Geoff is not a crim..." No, He's a poofter basher....hahahaha superb....mad Geoff Butler...
Thank you so much lovely person for uploading - I love love love prisoner - obsessed with it
Best show ever made isn't it?! I absolutely adore it.
"It's not my fault if you can't keep my promises".....I'll have to use that one in future
Ray Meager is brilliant as psycho Geoff! Nice one, Ray!
Damn right!
I like they way he ( assumadly) hires a 6 series BMW too keep up his fake job front.
It's by far one of the most expensive cars in Prisoner, You 'could've bought 3 or 4 of those Ford LTDs that Stuart Gillespie drove for that money.
Yet Geoff stalks Meg in his own car, an old Ford Falcon ( & dives like a dick, over revving " WELL, I'M MAD")
Micheal Simpson is good too, a timid, reluctant partner.
HE WASN'T A MAN HE WAS A POOFTAH
Geoff scoffed all the ham.
@@Nixter1974007 Perhaps the most heinous of his crimes.
Jeff/Geoff is a scary character! Ray Meagher is an awesome actor. I met him in Sydney in 2005. Brilliant, down to earth fella!
What a fantastic episode. Geoff Butler is great character one of Prisoner's finest baddies. Leila is brilliant in her role.
This is Prisoner's golden period over the next 80 episodes. And the next 400 are pretty special too.
I liked it from mid 40’s the arrival of Jim and him getting that reward money but sad when Eddi died then mcnally comes and dies she was a good character
Ross was annoying also this episode was the start of the next season you can tell Jim’s hair is lighter and the picture is different
This show is annoying, ridiculous and downright stupid sometimes. But it's my favorite show and it's totally entertaining. I can't imagine having to wait to watch each episode. It was probably a completely different viewing experience.
When Prisoner began it was Tuesday and Thursday nights at 8.30 in Sydney. Obviously no videos or repeats in those days. Bums on seats or you missed it.
Omfg Ericka was only shot in the arm. She can walk. No need for a wheelchair.
Like being given a parachute to go swimming!
I love this programme.. how about all episodes of sons and daughters as well?
He wasnt a man, he was a pooftah 😂
Butler is a brilliant but scary character
Awww, poor fragile Erica , bless her, and her very disheveled "bouffant "😂😉❤️
The “down” hairstyle you see her in is the one she really likes to have in real life.
I love the way an ambulance turns up but instead of taking everyone who’s been shot to an actual hospital they just bundle them all off to the prison infirmary and call Greg Miller in to remove the bullets 😂 I’m surprised he didn’t give everyone a mild sedative
I would never confide in Meg, she dobs on Leila every time to Jim
These last few episodes have really made me start to like leila flether
I know what it's like to have a husband who came home with men that you didn't like. I don't drive so I would grab my daughter, ring a cab and take off to a friend's or my parents place.
''we've got more coppers than a kids money box!'' lmao, I love that line.
@ 38:05 - it looks like it’s quite “nipply” ...oops I mean nippy... outside. LOL.
I don't know if you're at the Lorelei Wilkerson ( Paula Duncan) episodes yet but her scenes are like that. No bra or anything, and she just had a baby in real life at the time.
Love Bea's one liners. We got more coppers than a kid's money box. I can't see nothing; it's blacker than Vera's heart
a "poofta" I never heard that one before. lmao
Are you American? It was a very common word in Britain, Australia, etc.
Yeah it was fashionable in the seventies and eighties 😂
Val Lehman is such an amazing actress… she really shines in this episode
Ray Meagher plays a great villain
Yeah didn't he play Ernest Craven in PCBH as well?
Nixter1974007 Yes, he was thoroughly nasty
Leanne Blake What's your best storyline from Prisoner? Love the Geoff Butler episodes.
Nixter1974007 That was a good story..I'm not sure actually but my favourite scenes are when Toni McNally gives the women the "funny cigarettes" 😂😂😂
Leanne Blake Haha yeah rings a bell. I also liked the siege where Myra Desmond ends up dead, that Ballinger woman was a nasty bitch.
For someone who works in a prison and is around crims constantly, Meg is the worst judge of character I've ever seen.
Love the fact that Jim goes to see Erica and her arm is bandaged around 8:00. She has blood coming through the bandages and it doesn't even get Jim's attention. I LOVE! this cheesy show.
Think Then Send He sort of learn to beat it when Martha had Vera on the roof.
This show used one swear word a lot B…..D
Ray Meagher is an excellent villain. No wonder they used him a few times.
Kurt Renner then Ernest Craven. Proper baddies. Brilliant
@@Nixter1974007 No one plays unhinged characters better than Ray.
Ray is brilliant in Baddie roles like these 👍 like him in Prisoner check him out as "Bob Temple" in 1985's Great Bookie Robbery which also features Andy Anderson too, top stuff!👍🔥
Lovely and slightly different version of of the instrumental end credit theme tune, I’ve noticed about three different performances of the tune so far. Why do they change occasionally?
Yeah and it's always in stark contrast to the savagery going on in some of the scenes. Here, Butler ends the episodes with a smashed bottle wanting to glass Jim and Meg and then we get what is probably the most beautiful rendition of He Used to Give Me Roses.....lol
Roz sure is one resourceful little minx!
"get a move on I don't have all day " lol
She did try to warn Meg but she wouldn't listen. lol
00:15 I love how the front guard doesn't appear at all phased or alarmed that the Governor shows up at the prison with a bunch of cops and sirens blazing.... "Oh, it's just you Mrs. Davidson." LMAO! 6:15 The Fletchers have only gone back together for a few weeks and already they are nagging at each other. 40: Meg sure knows how to pick 'em
at 29:40 Vera gets up and asks does anyone want any more coffee? how ironic I wonder if anyone's clean. The urn.. Meg claims that she still dead tired.. :)
Must of been when Jeff stopped for coffee but they never showed intimate scenes of them not even kissing
I think Greg and Karen used the kissing budget lol
Top episode.terrorists and Alf Stewart on a wonko😅
At 7 minutes it seemed the lips weren't corresponding with what they were saying
33:55 "Squeamish little bitchhh" - Quite possibly the most camped up delivery of a line in the series! :)
I knew this Geoff guy was a lunatic from the first from his extremist views on punishment of terrorists. How could Meg have missed that? Plus, he's not got the least charm, like Greg.
His views weren't extremist in the slightest? I suppose you're one of those people who thinks terrorists should be "understood" and empathised with, because they weren't hugged enough by mummy and daddy when they were growing up?
@@susi-emily That is exactly what I was thinking! Extremist criminals deserve extreme punishment.
Every time I hear Jim Smilie as the radio announcer I can't help but wish he'd been a repeat actor on the show.
Love how Geoff storms out of the house with his drink in his hand, picking up his bag on the way - and loses it on his way to Meg's. Leila should have played ignorant with him.
Fletcher: Try and get some rest .... She was knocked out for hours any more sleeping they would have given her, her own cell
Meg is a BRILLIANT actress!!!
Tell the person below in the comments section who thinks she's a dreadful actress. I agree with you.
And her hair at the moment is out of this world.
Meg's a character.
Where do Jim and his wife keep their children lol they never have them and how much stuff did she put in their coffee they went out like lights.... I love it can't stop watching :)
That's what they do with the babies and small children on American soaps. They bring them out of their bedrooms and have scenes and back to bed they go. No normal things like nappy changes or getting spit up off a clean shirt or a pair of clean trousers. Then when the child gets older they send them to boarding school and they come home a year later as a sixteen year old.
Ugh why does Pat have to comment on everything. Wish she would shut up for five minutes, give us all a break from her dog rough voice and her oh no violence Bea!
Debbie does Brisbane.
The radio announcer: Domin-guays. Hee.
Erica, your prison hasn't got the security to hold ANY prisoner. Thinks back to Frankie, Doreen and Lizzie. The detective was spot on with his lolly water comment.
I'm sure the guy that Ros was speaking to at the port played Lionel Fellowes later in the series.
@ Kevin Bradshaw: He did, Kevin. He is Will Deumer.
And they're still using that urn 😂
Spoiler alert at the beginning, showing Doreen, when she hasn't gone back inside yet.
Poor meg!
I love the way Lizzie keeps miss-pronouncing Janet's last name. :D
She seems to get a lot of words and names wrong lol.
Kr Ling On occasion she does.
@@Kblog777 That's the reason I love Lizzie so much. ❤❤
Ros going to sleep with Lionel Fellows for just a Candy Bar.
Bea screaming abuse at a woman because that woman is prepared to kill for a political agenda. Whereas Bea has so far murdered twice for pleasure. And will again. The irony of the situation is palpable.
Also, this terriost woman watched her lover being tourchered and murdered. I don't think Bea's murdering rampage was out of pleasure; more likely out of blind anger and guilt, due to the loss of her daughter. Also, her husband's infidelity and lack of compassion for his daughter. The two women murdered for the same reason
... lol, the Lttle Wifey to Fletch the Letch: "there's no ham left. Your mate's scoffed it all". I could've sworn Davo did judging by that awful hammy acting!
A Sheila for $1. Even in the '70s that wasn't much.
Obviously it wasn't much since she bought a bar of chocolate with it, and had some change left over.
Please, you can actually buy a flake for $1 now in 2020.
Is this supposed to be a prison ?
The only thing stopping is a chicken fence with a padlock on it..haha
cyuiyu wyguiyui Towards the end of the series they even let the prisoners past that fence to spend their leisure time there.
The terrorist cut the fence with something, little more than toe nail clippers, hahahahaa.
No one's going to talk about the fact that Erica stands there blankly staring at them for about 15 seconds straight. Trying to stand still like this is target practice or something. Hilarious. I love this show. They don't make 'em like they used to.. Though I like the re-imaging of this show, Wentworth. I only wish they did more of Bea's story in PCBH, like they did in Wentworth! I love her as a main character!
They've put Megs character through so much! Poor thing.
+Biz Mcgree I agree about Bea. I like how Wentworth actually had Debbie alive for the first season so that they could go through how Bea rose to top dog.
@@1981Galadriel I guess the only way I will get to see Wentworth is through some pay service like Hulu or another source.
Wentworth was created by Foxtel, which is a cable company in Australia. They own the rights.
You can also buy it on RUclips.
Loving the show, this was another cracking episode! Ray Meagher is really warming up now, this is when his acting is so great to watch! Chrissie is just a two faced tart and I hope Ros gets revenge on her. Shame the story around Janet didn't go on for longer as it was so suspenseful, but I guess her character was always going to be short and sweet due to the nature of it.
I can understand Chrissie's motivation though. She was thinking of bringing up her child, which becomes a major ongoing storyline for her.
When that police man says to Janet how did you know I'm a police man well you're hardly going to be a lollipop man are you.
These early episodes of prisoner cell block h episode where the best in the series
OMG Chrissie lagged on Ros!
Bea: Hey stupid! Lol.
36:30 The fact Geoff can't take no for answer should be a huge red flag. Had he done what he did, tried worming his way into my apartment, I'd have started screaming at the top of my lungs. I knew something was off about that guy,
Good on you Chrissie! I'm starting to enjoy her character. With a baby coming, who can blame her for taking every opportunity to possibly reduce her time. What an idiot Roz is! Honestly, just behave well, do the time and hope for a reduction. At least when Bea escaped, she knew full well it would be short-lived.
Leave Meg alone you big hulking bugger!
Holly crap!!. Another crazy episode.
It's hilarious the amount of times they say the name "Dominguez" and never once pronounce it correctly.
Domin-gwez
How do you know how this particular family pronounces it? Names aren't standardised.
Sometimes it's said like that.
Steve Perrin I'm sure that in Spanish, a "u" near the end of a first name or a surname are not pronounced, so "Dominguez" is pronounced, "Domingez". 😃
I have a Spanish friend and his surname is Dominguez. He pronounces it ‘domin-gwez’
Look what I bought for a dollar!!!
It was a flake bar which are at the moment Nov. 2019, for $1 - no change however, in Coles Supermarket.
You'd think they'd take shooting victims to, you know, a real hospital...
Does anyone know what happened to the my5 edit?
I had to watch it here to see the full version of this episode yet some episodes are better then the dvd snips 😂
*Completely Irrelevant* But...
My friends and I used to watch this when it originally aired, we were around 12yo, and we used to crack on the theme song, as it sometimes sounded like "Heels to give me roses." Silly, but we were young.
Fast forward forty years later, and in the Closed Captions, guess what they put...? I am cracking up, must take pix and send to those friends.
*Carry On.* hahaha
That's what I thought as well.
Every time I watch these I alter the lyrics depending on what the last scene is. For example, this one would be "He used to give me broken bottles!"
I'm sure the voice of the policeman at 11.35 is the same actor as the newsreader that was just on the radio!
Why abseil down the outside of the building and make it hard when they have the keys and can just open the doors?
They were blocked in at the bottom of the stairwell.
Have the Fletchers adopted their kids out??
😂😂😂
Everybody loves a sailor!
They've butchered pronunciation of Dominguez. DOE MIN' GEZ. The u is silent.
I noticed that as well. Lol they also had her from nondescript South American country rather than any specific one. Suppose they didn't want to go offend anyone...
James Cannon Perhaps!!
+Kelly Snyder Blatant miss-pronounciations by Lizzie aside. :D
Cute though
But a name can be pronounced however the person concerned wants to pronounce it, there isn't a standard.
How the heck could kath see the flashing light ? She was to far away and not high up enough to to windows
I swear that was the only time there was hand cuffs
Jeff Butler is fuckin scary man...
Paul J I'd kick him in the balls...lol😖
Dean Smith I would stab him through the back with a pick-axe ( best way to a bad man's heart, so I have heard!!", then bury the " Baaaaa'rstard " ( as Bea would say) under a nice new patio !! 😂👌🏻👍🏻✌🏻️😉
LUCAX651 😂😂 I love the way Bea says bastard lol
I have I relative who is like Geoff Buttler....
Beas bullying Chrissie is getting annoying now.
She deserves it…
@@HayleyMyles-j6v not to this extent.
Officer Edwards played by Dawn Klingberg, had many different notable & memorable roles during the run of the series.
Along with Officer Edwards, she played Officer Carter, Officer no name, Mrs. Graham (Daphne Grahams mother), Jen, Woman (who alerted police when Roz was helping the heart attack dero), and my favorite...Ellen the heroin addict who Judy couldn't get to do anything at the first Driscoll House she ran. She also played a couple other noncredited roles as well.
I've said it before that "Prisoner" is famous for recycling cast members for different roles.
Ah, of course. She was Ellen. I knew I'd seen her before. Was very convincing in the role of an addict. .
Sister of Mersey lol
@@DarrenSnell-x4v
I know! Cracks me up every single time.
" iv got together some of the roughest toughest guys you've ever heard of they'd even scare genghis khan " lol
Alf Stewart gonna cut somebody.
I love the way he throws the bottle to himself just before breaking it.
Love Lizzie, her lines priceless, " Rat Poison with boots"😂. I forgot how back stabbing Chrissy was. The interogating detective. Terriable acting.
Jim has more grog than a bar!
I don't know how Geoff did so much damage to the guy in the pub. From what I've just seen, he can't fight.
The fellow in the pub bogs only had a nosebleed. I think he must have fainted when Geoff Butler gave him that look.
Washing lines are like free shops.
Meg's face... absolutely terrifying. She knows he could kill her in a second.
Lizzie describing the police officer, Marshall, who interviewed her as rat poison with boots on, and then calling the Dominguez woman as the Dominique's woman. 😄😃
Crickey we've got more coppers than a kid's money box 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😁😁😁😁😁😁
You bloody bastard! You better not hurt Meg!!!
God, Meg doesn't really have a type, does she? Anything with a pulse. Bill, Greg now Geoff, all completely different!
Some ppl are attracted to individuality and personality rather than appearance.
I really fancy a job in insurance..
Can spend my days drinking scotch and playing golf 🤣
Isn't this guy the nasty prison warden??
Oh yes, he comes back as Governor Ernest Craven from Blackmoor prison and he is one nasty piece of work
Mark Bpharm But an awesome character
Most evil character in TV history imo, and that comparing with Sopranos,Breaking Bad etc.
Poor breakfast at the Fletcher's....
Geoff Butler scoffed all the ham 😮😂
10:40 "Come on you ratbag, give us some newwwwsssss" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
29:55 does meg fart just as vera hands over the coffee???
Ian Ferrier No, it's Jim sitting down and scraping his chair on the floor
+Ian Ferrier
Yes, that was a fart. Believe me, I'm an expert.
+Steven Mcgee LOL agreed
That was definitely a trump haha 😂💨
someone farted and the room cleared pretty quickly straight after so funny
2 women shot, and all they do is put a bandage on and put them in a bed.
Was that a tooth brush Roslyn spent her $1 on?
Stone the crows Alf
