Man , you are just phenomenal! Just magnificent , I just returned back after 6 days of trek on towards ABC and I watches your vlog and took some idea , trekking idea and my trek just gone great
Damn Gabe! You are getting up in the world. Best wishes for your continued adventurers. My wife and I are currently in Lima, heading home from Machu Picchu, an adventure inspired by your trip last fall.
Just added "Trek the Himalayas" to my bucket list after I watched your vids. Looks fun and tiring. Trail doesn't look dangerous at all. Do you ever hire local guides when you trek the Himalayas?
I haven't hired guides at all but it's a good option to consider if you prefer. Also would be a good idea for some of the treks off the main tourist routes.
No because the monsoon rains come in June and go through August, so I guess that isn't a good time for trekking. It will be wet and snowing in the higher elevations.
Mr. Morris, your videos get more exciting as I go from one to the other. Quick question though, do the lodges accept USD? Or did you convert some amount of money into NPR and end up using that? I am from India, by the way, so I was wondering if they accept INR there. Thank you. :)
Thanks. No the lodges along the way don't accept USD and I don't think Indian rupees either. You can change into Nepal rupees at lots of places, or withdraw from an ATM and you'll get Nepal rupees.
+Gabriel Traveler Wow! Very cool. Was in Nepal last year and didn't get around to doing this. You've def inspired me to do this next May. Do you plan on doing Everest base camp?
I was seriously thinking about EBC but I guess the monsoons are supposed to come pretty soon and it isn't a good time to go once the rains hit. So I think I'll head for somewhere warm instead. Nepal has been epic though.
+Gabriel Traveler Awesome video man.....thanks again. Nepal, out of almost all the places I've ever traveled to, has definitely had one of the strongest impacts on me. Amazing place! Good luck to you brother....and if you happen to find yourself in St. Croix USVI over the next year, don't hesitate to contact me....be happy to show you around. Thanks again for the inspiration. I don't think so, I was considering it but apparently the monsoon rains are coming soon and so it's not advised to be trekking during the monsoon time as it will be wet and probably snowing in the upper elevations. Everest will have to wait until my next visit to Nepal.
I'm back in Pokhara now, but yeah after doing the Annapurna base camp trek I was in better shape and was handling the hiking better. Although, in the next video we hike over Thorung La pass at 17,769 feet and so that was intense with the elevation, then coming down was crazy on the knees. So I took a day off after that, and then had another rest day later. There are five more videos to come from this trek, will post the next one tomorrow.
You're on top of the world for sure! What a feeling! Enjoying watching.. so amazingly FAR OUT!

Great work gabriel
Thanks.
Even if you're down to the 28th parallel and in May its still cold wouldn't be more pleasantly warmer in July August to do this excursion?

Just a week ago, so mid-May.

Cool, thanks a lot, and I agree, Nepal is amazing.
Why don't you lease one of those pack horses :D
Those horses are so beautiful up there...
An yakity 'yak casualty', DON'T LOOK BACK! B^D
❤❤❤😍😍😍
The living conditions on Nepal mountainous regions are very horrible.
1M $ views!
Watch out avalanche on the high pass. It’s very dangerous. Somebody got killed by avalanche before on the high pass.
You still in nepal?
Gabe is in Pokhara now.
will you visit mt Everest

+Gabriel Traveler. does it cost a lot?
Everest Base Camp not worth the money compared to ABC & ACT. I've been following "Kara and Nate" RUclips, check them out for the EBC vlogs
+sateesh kumar how much is that
Adam Cornejo
I'll be posting another video soon showing the prices of everything while trekking. Sateesh, so the prices on the EBC are more expensive?
How are you finding the trekking physically now? You haven't mentioned any body aching, is that because you're so used to it now?!
I'm back in Pokhara now, but yeah after doing the Annapurna base camp trek I was in better shape and was handling the hiking better. Bunch of trekkers died here in October, 2014.
Correct, especially while going over Thorung La pass.
