8 kg is more than enough for a family of 4. Generally it is recommended to leave some space in drum so that clothes get cleaned properly. I cannot state a number because it totally depends on the type of clothes and texture of fabric. Wash cycle takes around 2-3 hours, depending on modes and features selected.

If clothes are stained with grease, ink or really nasty stuff obviously machine won't remove them, you'll need to wash that stain with hands, even then it is a challenge. It is not about the brand, but the method of washing that is not meant for such rigorous cleaning, otherwise clothes would wear out much quicker.

Machine ko restart karo switch se off karke fir on karke, agar dikkat solve na ho toh shayad PCB mein koi issue aa gaya hai toh uske liye LG customer care se contact karo.

Avoid Godrej. Samsung offers mediocre performance and is prone to frequent repairs although repair bills are manageable. LG is best in performance and reliability. You can choose Samsung too in case your budget is low.

Excellent video. I'd like to add one point regarding direct drive technology used in LG washing machines. Since the motor is directly mounted to the drum, the weight of the motor is borne by the bearings that hold the motor to the drum and can reduce the lifespan of the bearings from what I've heard. If possible, I'd like to see a long term review of the washing machine, maybe a few years down the line as to how well the bearings in the drive technology in LG washing machine holds up compared to belt drive of other brands because practically speaking, it's easier to replace the belt than to replace those bearings because you'll have to remove the whole drum and motor assembly.
Just press temperature button a few times until temperature setting gets removed from the wash cycle. This is the benefit in the machine that you can always remove temperature setting from all wash cycles.
I have used all types of washing machine whether it is TOP, FRONT OR semi Automatic. I would like to tell you my opinion that semi automatic is the best washing. machine. Ye aapke pocket ko bhi suit karti hai. Fully automatic washing machine ki life 5 years only.
Not true, my last IFB front load fully automatic is still working well and this LG front load fully automatic will also last much longer than 5 years. Semi automatic is only beneficial in case someone wants to reuse detergent for washing severely batches of clothes, which nowadays is impractical and not to mention that clothes don't get cleaned well by this way either. Detergent once added to water is meant to be used only once, not multiple times, otherwise washing quality suffers, that's why fully automatic offer much better cleaning performance, albeit at a slightly higher price and running cost compared to semi automatics.

I bought the same model and size is 7kg and I have been using it for more than 2 weeks. It's absolutely soundless for me and works very well. one thing to note, keep it in a little dark area or away from sun light if you want to see numbers and lights on the screen in the day time else it's a little difficult to see in the day time.

Good video. First I've seen from India that advocates using a spirit level and a two foot one at that. The smaller torpedo isn't good enough. I bought a spirit level back in the day just for this. I went to the shop and asked for 6. Three of them weren't true and deserved to be binned so went with the best of the remaining three. Never buy a spirit level online. You have no idea what you will get.

@@M-DIY back in 2016 they didn't have an digital ones. So I opted for a Stanley. Went to the designated shop only to discover they no longer sold them because they were too expensive. Instead he had chosen a slightly cheaper Chinese brand which I could tell was slightly less accurate going by the specs. When I told him I wanted to test them he said no need. I insisted and was glad I did. Accuracy is a function of how well it's built. You place it one way. Reverse and check if the bubble is at the same point. If not its no good even if slightly off. That is the simplest test and will eliminate ones with build defects. There are more tests you can do based on the same principle but this was good enough to junk three models he gave me.
I just checked out your level video and saw the digital one costs Rs 8k at the moment 😳 Now that I recall he was trying to sell me a digital one for 5k which I felt was too much for a one off job. I paid around 1k for my bubble model. It was good enough once you do your own quality control.
3 years mein machine change karna is not right in my opinion, be it economically or environmentally. Machine exchange karoge toh zyaada value nahi milegi so at least 5 years tak chalalo then exchange karne mein sahi rahega, waise bhi Amazon ya OLX buyer purane machine ke zyaada paise nahi dega. Regarding washing quality, front load ka comparison nahi hai top load se, tumble wash is a superior method as it consumes less water and detergent and clothes zyaada ache se saaf hote hai. Front load machines aise washing nahi kar sakti. Reliability bhi same hai dono machines mein, bas price difference rehta hai.
LG makes excellent top load machines as well. Just avoid Samsung top loading machines until their stupid roller design is changed. Top loading machine wear out clothes sooner than front loads. If your clothes are expensive, want better washing quality and have excess budget, choose a front load, but if your clothes are relatively durable and want something in tighter budget, go for top load. Both front and top loading machines from LG are reliable and equally durable.
Sir will 7 kg same model as yours be enough for a family of 3-4 with a wash cycle of once in 2-3 days... And how do u feel about the size of 8kg drum of yours?
8 kg washer feels perfect for my family of 3. Keep in mind it is the color of clothes and how frequently one washes them that matters more rather than just the number of members in a family because in my case we use white bedsheets and hand towels which need frequent washing compared to darker colors used commonly by people. Similarly regularly changing clothes in winters can also increase wash load considerably when drying clothes becomes a task in itself due to foggy weather and lack of sunlight even during the day. 7 kg version is a minimum you should choose for a family of 4 and I'd suggest to instead opt for 8 kg version in case your wash loads are larger or more frequent as I mentioned above.
Which way is better to buy a washing Machine in a rural area,online or offline? I am asking this question keeping in mind that there are models which are available only in online mode. Please help.
Regarding availability of a few models, it is just the model number that is different for offline or online markets, otherwise rest of the features remain more or less the same so this doesn't affect purchase decision at all. In rural areas finding shops that have the particular model can be difficult so buying online is better. Just make sure you inspect the machine thoroughly for any damages before giving OTP to the delivery agents.
This is more indepth that any other indepth reviews I've watched on youtube. Amazing video bro I've few questions as i found this video while doing research of which machine to buy this year. I was ready to go with IFB 9kg but read some user reviews how every few months that requires some kind of service. As you've used IFB too can you please tell me your thoughts on this vs ifb machine? how's the wash quality similar or better? As it's now 1+ year have you had any issues with this or it's still working perfectly?
IFB machines do require regular maintenance, like the Señorita SX I used earlier needed bearing replacement multiple times, until I got them replaced by SKF branded bearings which are working well till date so it can be said that IFB uses cheap quality bearings in their machines. Motherboard and door lock was also replaced during warranty period because machine kept on showing TCL error. Washing quality was good initially but in case bearings develop a play and machine gets noisier as a result washing quality deteriorates so regular maintenance is important. Regarding LG machines, my experience has been really good as till date this machine has not required any servicing. LG has performed far better than IFB in all aspects but yes it is a bit pricier as well. Bosch has issues in spare part availability and Samsung machines are not well designed.

7 kg should be sufficient for a family of three but in case you need to wash large curtains or double bed sheets a lot or need 1400 RPM then you can choose 8 kg version.
Always go with the 8kg as its got a bigger drum. Even if it's just for one person. 7kg with direct drive is much smaller. Confirm in the shops so you know what you're getting.
Bosch and LG are pretty similar, but LG provides better quality of service and spare parts are just a bit more expensive for Bosch. However both are reliable brands and their machines are good in my opinion.
The door is opening even after the child lock mode. While running the machine. Thus is a huge draw back. The warranty doesn't cover the rubber gasket attached to the door. Don't recommend LG. check n compare the warranty covered on parts of the machine with different companies....
@M-DIY no its not faulty.i confirmed from the LG service team during the demo. LG machine can be opened even though the child lock is on during the wash period only if there is low level water. Anyways we can't open the door if the drum is heavily filled with water
@aasmadil Well in my case as soon as program is started, red colored lock icon glows,, door gets locked and cannot be opened unless power is switched off to the machine for a while which is what every front loader does to allow emergency opening. Childlock mode is irrelevant to the door locking mechanism.

There is no requirement for any extended warranty in my opinion. Regarding installation, LG provides excellent service, no matter where you purchase the product from. Presently, Amazon is the best portal to purchase this product because of my positive experience with them for not one but countless purchases.
Thanks for the video..had ordered this yesterday and will be delivered today. I stay in Bangalore. My existing machine is a 6.5KG bosch. it is heavily rusted and the front panel on the left side is very loose. Maybe this is the reason why the mechanism holding the drum is gotten loose and hence during spinning, the washing machine dances a lot and sometimes it turns 180 degrees apart from heavy sound. The authorized bosch guy charges 800 and on the phone told me some part has to be replaced that costs 12000!! for a washing machine costing 22000, this makes no sense. Then I had ordered a visit by Urban company. Without even opening the machine he said that the front panel and side panel has to be changed and quoted 7000!!! Things that cost the company 1-2000 are being told that replacement will cost 6-10000!!! Seems like the motor and drum of my machine is in good condition and resale value is 2000!! what should I do? where can I find the body of the washing machine for 1-2K? I dont feel like selling it for 2-3K nor does it make sense to spend 10-15K to repair a 8 year old machine where the current mrp is 21-22K.. Pls help
Bosch washing machine spare parts are too costly, that's what many owners have reported. Only Bosch can provide you the body of the washer but it won't be cheap. Still at least write a mail to Bosch regarding this matter, maybe they'll agree to just replace the body of the machine and provide you a quote for it. Urban company is yet another service provider that offers to provide ultra low maintenance quotes initially, but technicians deliberately try to repair and replace unwanted components which aren't even faulty at times just to make profit, just like cashify me, an old smarrphone buying company that relies on same techniques. In the present condition, you won't get much out of your old washer, because it is not in resellable condition on OLX nor can be it exchanged as per the exchange policy on Amazon so In your case, I'll suggest to not waste a single rupee on any repairs in case Bosch quotes an overly expensive estimate and use the machine as is for the time being and when you have the budget and discounted prices on sales are offered, buy a new washer. You'll have to scrap the machine with a scrap dealer who will separate different metals out of it and offer you like 2-3k at most.

LG, IFB, Bosch, Samsung and almost all washing machine brands provide spare parts up to 10 years at least, however actual timely availability varies depending on a lot of factors.
LG is better because Bosch sometimes takes too long for providing spare parts which may not be readily available, otherwise both brands are good. LG is best in performance and service quality.

Well we cannot adjust the timing at all because machine automatically senses load and calculates total time based on mode and features selected for a wash cycle. Baby care mode takes longer because it is meant to clean soiled clothes and it works really well because of steam cycle but as a result it will consume considerable electricity and there is little we can do to reduce its power consumption or duration.
How is their spareparts facility/ availability…?? Only reason i have not bought it yet as i m not aware about their spare parts availability if some part malfunctions…….

8 kg is more than enough for a family of 4. Generally it is recommended to leave some space in drum so that clothes get cleaned properly. I cannot state a number because it totally depends on the type of clothes and texture of fabric. Wash cycle takes around 2-3 hours, depending on modes and features selected.

If clothes are stained with grease, ink or really nasty stuff obviously machine won't remove them, you'll need to wash that stain with hands, even then it is a challenge. It is not about the brand, but the method of washing that is not meant for such rigorous cleaning, otherwise clothes would wear out much quicker.

Avoid Godrej. Samsung offers mediocre performance and is prone to frequent repairs although repair bills are manageable. LG is best in performance and reliability. You can choose Samsung too in case your budget is low.

I'd like to add one point regarding direct drive technology used in LG washing machines. Since the motor is directly mounted to the drum, the weight of the motor is borne by the bearings that hold the motor to the drum and can reduce the lifespan of the bearings from what I've heard.
If possible, I'd like to see a long term review of the washing machine, maybe a few years down the line as to how well the bearings in the drive technology in LG washing machine holds up compared to belt drive of other brands because practically speaking, it's easier to replace the belt than to replace those bearings because you'll have to remove the whole drum and motor assembly.

Just press temperature button a few times until temperature setting gets removed from the wash cycle. This is the benefit in the machine that you can always remove temperature setting from all wash cycles.

I have used all types of washing machine whether it is TOP, FRONT OR semi Automatic. I would like to tell you my opinion that semi automatic is the best washing. machine. Ye aapke pocket ko bhi suit karti hai. Fully automatic washing machine ki life 5 years only.
Not true, my last IFB front load fully automatic is still working well and this LG front load fully automatic will also last much longer than 5 years. Semi automatic is only beneficial in case someone wants to reuse detergent for washing severely batches of clothes, which nowadays is impractical and not to mention that clothes don't get cleaned well by this way either. Detergent once added to water is meant to be used only once, not multiple times, otherwise washing quality suffers, that's why fully automatic offer much better cleaning performance, albeit at a slightly higher price and running cost compared to semi automatics.
@@M-DIY But what abt. The components. If the PCB or even inlet pipe got damaged it comes expensive. If any technicians visit only the visiting charge is Rs 600. For a middle class semi automatic is the best.

I bought the same model and size is 7kg and I have been using it for more than 2 weeks. It's absolutely soundless for me and works very well. one thing to note, keep it in a little dark area or away from sun light if you want to see numbers and lights on the screen in the day time else it's a little difficult to see in the day time.

Good video. First I've seen from India that advocates using a spirit level and a two foot one at that. The smaller torpedo isn't good enough. I bought a spirit level back in the day just for this. I went to the shop and asked for 6. Three of them weren't true and deserved to be binned so went with the best of the remaining three. Never buy a spirit level online. You have no idea what you will get.

@@M-DIY back in 2016 they didn't have an digital ones. So I opted for a Stanley. Went to the designated shop only to discover they no longer sold them because they were too expensive. Instead he had chosen a slightly cheaper Chinese brand which I could tell was slightly less accurate going by the specs. When I told him I wanted to test them he said no need. I insisted and was glad I did. Accuracy is a function of how well it's built. You place it one way. Reverse and check if the bubble is at the same point. If not its no good even if slightly off. That is the simplest test and will eliminate ones with build defects. There are more tests you can do based on the same principle but this was good enough to junk three models he gave me.

I paid around 1k for my bubble model. It was good enough once you do your own quality control.

3 years mein machine change karna is not right in my opinion, be it economically or environmentally. Machine exchange karoge toh zyaada value nahi milegi so at least 5 years tak chalalo then exchange karne mein sahi rahega, waise bhi Amazon ya OLX buyer purane machine ke zyaada paise nahi dega.
Regarding washing quality, front load ka comparison nahi hai top load se, tumble wash is a superior method as it consumes less water and detergent and clothes zyaada ache se saaf hote hai. Front load machines aise washing nahi kar sakti. Reliability bhi same hai dono machines mein, bas price difference rehta hai.
Which top load washing machine is best you want to prefer and is it worth to buy a top loaded washing machine?
LG makes excellent top load machines as well. Just avoid Samsung top loading machines until their stupid roller design is changed. Top loading machine wear out clothes sooner than front loads. If your clothes are expensive, want better washing quality and have excess budget, choose a front load, but if your clothes are relatively durable and want something in tighter budget, go for top load. Both front and top loading machines from LG are reliable and equally durable.
Sir will 7 kg same model as yours be enough for a family of 3-4 with a wash cycle of once in 2-3 days... And how do u feel about the size of 8kg drum of yours?
8 kg washer feels perfect for my family of 3. Keep in mind it is the color of clothes and how frequently one washes them that matters more rather than just the number of members in a family because in my case we use white bedsheets and hand towels which need frequent washing compared to darker colors used commonly by people. Similarly regularly changing clothes in winters can also increase wash load considerably when drying clothes becomes a task in itself due to foggy weather and lack of sunlight even during the day.
7 kg version is a minimum you should choose for a family of 4 and I'd suggest to instead opt for 8 kg version in case your wash loads are larger or more frequent as I mentioned above.

Which way is better to buy a washing Machine in a rural area,online or offline?
I am asking this question keeping in mind that there are models which are available only in online mode.
Please help.
Regarding availability of a few models, it is just the model number that is different for offline or online markets, otherwise rest of the features remain more or less the same so this doesn't affect purchase decision at all. In rural areas finding shops that have the particular model can be difficult so buying online is better. Just make sure you inspect the machine thoroughly for any damages before giving OTP to the delivery agents.

I've few questions as i found this video while doing research of which machine to buy this year.
I was ready to go with IFB 9kg but read some user reviews how every few months that requires some kind of service. As you've used IFB too can you please tell me your thoughts on this vs ifb machine? how's the wash quality similar or better?
As it's now 1+ year have you had any issues with this or it's still working perfectly?
IFB machines do require regular maintenance, like the Señorita SX I used earlier needed bearing replacement multiple times, until I got them replaced by SKF branded bearings which are working well till date so it can be said that IFB uses cheap quality bearings in their machines. Motherboard and door lock was also replaced during warranty period because machine kept on showing TCL error. Washing quality was good initially but in case bearings develop a play and machine gets noisier as a result washing quality deteriorates so regular maintenance is important.
Regarding LG machines, my experience has been really good as till date this machine has not required any servicing. LG has performed far better than IFB in all aspects but yes it is a bit pricier as well.
Bosch has issues in spare part availability and Samsung machines are not well designed.

Not really, 8kg variant has ample of space for my requirement, but in case you require you can always choose a larger capacity version.

7 kg should be sufficient for a family of three but in case you need to wash large curtains or double bed sheets a lot or need 1400 RPM then you can choose 8 kg version.
Always go with the 8kg as its got a bigger drum. Even if it's just for one person. 7kg with direct drive is much smaller. Confirm in the shops so you know what you're getting.
Have you compared LG with Bosch ?
Bosch and LG are pretty similar, but LG provides better quality of service and spare parts are just a bit more expensive for Bosch. However both are reliable brands and their machines are good in my opinion.

LG machine can be opened even though the child lock is on during the wash period only if there is low level water.
Anyways we can't open the door if the drum is heavily filled with water
@aasmadil Well in my case as soon as program is started, red colored lock icon glows,, door gets locked and cannot be opened unless power is switched off to the machine for a while which is what every front loader does to allow emergency opening. Childlock mode is irrelevant to the door locking mechanism.

Are LG washing machine drums replaceable and how much will they generally cost? I was using Bosch but drums of that machine are damaged and they don’t have replacement part. Pathetic experience with Bosch. And now they are offering me some random model which I don’t want at all.
LG doesn't have this issue as spares have better availablility than Bosch and yes drums in LG machines are replaceable.

There is no requirement for any extended warranty in my opinion. Regarding installation, LG provides excellent service, no matter where you purchase the product from. Presently, Amazon is the best portal to purchase this product because of my positive experience with them for not one but countless purchases.

Thanks for the video..had ordered this yesterday and will be delivered today. I stay in Bangalore. My existing machine is a 6.5KG bosch. it is heavily rusted and the front panel on the left side is very loose. Maybe this is the reason why the mechanism holding the drum is gotten loose and hence during spinning, the washing machine dances a lot and sometimes it turns 180 degrees apart from heavy sound.
The authorized bosch guy charges 800 and on the phone told me some part has to be replaced that costs 12000!! for a washing machine costing 22000, this makes no sense. Then I had ordered a visit by Urban company. Without even opening the machine he said that the front panel and side panel has to be changed and quoted 7000!!! Things that cost the company 1-2000 are being told that replacement will cost 6-10000!!! Seems like the motor and drum of my machine is in good condition and resale value is 2000!!
what should I do? where can I find the body of the washing machine for 1-2K? I dont feel like selling it for 2-3K nor does it make sense to spend 10-15K to repair a 8 year old machine where the current mrp is 21-22K.. Pls help
Bosch washing machine spare parts are too costly, that's what many owners have reported. Only Bosch can provide you the body of the washer but it won't be cheap. Still at least write a mail to Bosch regarding this matter, maybe they'll agree to just replace the body of the machine and provide you a quote for it.
Urban company is yet another service provider that offers to provide ultra low maintenance quotes initially, but technicians deliberately try to repair and replace unwanted components which aren't even faulty at times just to make profit, just like cashify me, an old smarrphone buying company that relies on same techniques.
In the present condition, you won't get much out of your old washer, because it is not in resellable condition on OLX nor can be it exchanged as per the exchange policy on Amazon so In your case, I'll suggest to not waste a single rupee on any repairs in case Bosch quotes an overly expensive estimate and use the machine as is for the time being and when you have the budget and discounted prices on sales are offered, buy a new washer. You'll have to scrap the machine with a scrap dealer who will separate different metals out of it and offer you like 2-3k at most.

LG, IFB, Bosch, Samsung and almost all washing machine brands provide spare parts up to 10 years at least, however actual timely availability varies depending on a lot of factors.

LG is better because Bosch sometimes takes too long for providing spare parts which may not be readily available, otherwise both brands are good. LG is best in performance and service quality.
Very well explained n clear enough . Liked your video . I also had a question like now I had to wash baby clothes when put it showed timings of 3.20mins now this is too long n consumes a lot of electricity so is there any chance we can reduce the timing or what ? Need a help on this .....
Well we cannot adjust the timing at all because machine automatically senses load and calculates total time based on mode and features selected for a wash cycle. Baby care mode takes longer because it is meant to clean soiled clothes and it works really well because of steam cycle but as a result it will consume considerable electricity and there is little we can do to reduce its power consumption or duration.

How is their spareparts facility/ availability…?? Only reason i have not bought it yet as i m not aware about their spare parts availability if some part malfunctions…….
LG has the best spare part availability that's comparable to Samsung, though Bosch spares can take a while, IFB is mediocre.
