    The initial move of stepping into the blow and blocking is spot on, everything after that is nonsense as no one is going to just stand there and let you repeatedly strike them. Anyone who trains, then actually gets into real fights vs people trying to actually trying to hurt you understands this. Yes, there is value in learning the follow-up strikes, but you must remain fluid and react to what they give you.

    • @Vendeta552
      @Vendeta552 Год назад

      Stepping in and blocking also won't work because I'm sure since this is an army or a commando, anyone they fight against will also be a trained fighters or killer so they won't attack in slow motion and won't let you close in to grab you by hand, he will get beaten black and blue if it's a real fight😂😂

      @@Vendeta552 I think you watch far too many movies... Pretty much every fighting force out there trains their troops to fight, but the big problem is they don't continue to train after the initial training in bootcamp. I was in the Marine Corps' special operations, and I ran into so many poorly trained people it was crazy. So yes, stepping into someone trying to swing a bat, a stick, or even punch or kick you, works great if you do it at the right time. It's pretty easy to see this being done thousands of times against trained fighters if you simply watch a few MMA fights or maybe you could even get some training yourself and stop being an internet warrior?

      @@8654ZuluFoxtrot, I can confirm that stepping in while the opponent Is swinging a stick or a baseball bat works.
      The longer the stick the easier the step in.
      In short, you step in when the opponent is swinging back the Stick for the next strike.
      Once you grab opponent's arm/weapon it's up to you.

    I hold 2 black belts and been training in a variety of martial arts since the age of 13 and I am now 58. His teaching techniques are spot on. However, in slow motion everything works when it comes to defending an attack (any attack). This is NOT the case at full speed unless you are going against some drunk or someone who really has no idea what they are doing at all. I can almost guarantee you are going to get hit at least once and as long as you can take the hit then you can most likely take the offender out afterwards. When I train and teach students, I teach them real life scenarios. Not slow motion punch at me, kick at me, BS. I was also in law enforcement for nearly a decade and taught many police agencies here in Texas.

    That is a good move. You can tell that confidence is attached with sacrifice, that is, beating the speed of the attacker by timed step is associated with the absorption of part the second strike which leaves the attacker vulnerable.
    I mentioned confidence and sacrifice because you don't know the skills of the attacker, but you must, if in a compulsory situation, defend yourself or be a victim.
    Practice is the key, bearing in mind that you must NEVER underestimate any attacker.

    Knew that, at the first opportunity, you have to close the distance because the force of the strike is weaker the closer you are to the attacker so that, even if he does land a hit, you can absorb the force as he does here, and then counterattack with an elbow strike. I did think he was going to throw him though once he captured his striking arms.

    • @tannhauser5399
      @tannhauser5399 Год назад

      @C.S Unger - now do the one that has metal nails on the stick, is under influence of various drugs, and when you close the distance wants to bite off part of your nose, lips, cheeks, ear and wants to take your eyes out... It happens more often than you think and in this case the attacker actually wants to be close to you (drugs + trying to bite off lips or nose when you are too close; good luck with that fight).

    • @CSUnger
      @CSUnger Год назад

      @Tann Hauser. You bring up a very good point and it will always be dependent upon your ability to assess your opponent. In the case you are outlining, I would then resort to pulling off my belt (if you wear a belt with a buckle, you are always armed with a weapon for defense) and strike from a three feet advantage distance, at my attacker’s eyes trying for maximum in damage.

    His moves are great but if anyone wants to know it's effectiveness, then practice is the key.
    I am a prectitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and all the move doesn't make sense but we practice them everyday and it take us 13 year of continuous training and practice to get a black belt. And trust me that if you face a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu, there is no chance for you to compete him.

      Jiu-Jitsu is a great Martial Art, I love it, but when it comes to street self defense (no rules) then Krav Maga is the best.

      There is a subtle difference between Gracie Brazilian Ju Jutsu, and traditional Japanese Ju Jutsu. Japanese Ju Jutsu was used by the Samurai, on the battle field, not on the tatami.
      It's purer and less subtle......

    The maximum impact is felt when hit in the region which is near at the top 40% of the stick. Avoid getting hit from that region of stick and you can overpower the opponent.

    Есть философия, военная атака и защита дружат крепко и надолго они родственники, в этом заложено выжить и знания, и мудрость самой философии, а это простой человек становится профессиональным войным, где умение выжить, доказано историй и есть факты, спасибо за видеоролик.

    Real-life stick defense: 1.) Run away as fast as you can from your attacker. 2.) While you're running, be on the lookout for a stick in your path. 3.) Quickly pick up stick, then turn around and begin whacking your attacker with it before he whacks you.
