@Ilija Stojanoski you have to learn the gheg dialect of the albanian language, it is the first way of communication. All of these are the products of the Serbian Academy of Sciences. The same academy that said Albanians have a tail. Albanians before the Ottoman invasion were 80% Orthodox. Bulgarian Boris is baptized in bylis (Ballsh albania) you are not macedonian. you are slavic tribal came from the steps. in mirdita region in albania Bulg means hired land workers. payment method was by land donation.
@Ilija Stojanoski tosk dialect derives from gheg. This is true. Albanian Highlanders are withe people, not from Azerbaijan. Came and visit Albania sometime. Geg means gigas. Alb(Gjiga) Giants. Symbol of the sun is not Macedonian, but Pelasgian 🤣😂🤣.
@Ilija Stojanoski the double-headed eagle is not a symbol of Christianity; it was first used by the Hittites in central Anatolia. Maybe your Albanian friends know nothing about their history. but I say to you that Macedonian Orthodox today, too, are Albanians assimilated by the doctrine of Pan-Slavism. Matea Mateski, Sinadinowski, Branko Manolowsi ect ect. Language is what distinguishes a population, not symbols, because symbols have been changed based on families that have ruled at different times. after the fall of the Roman empire, the only ancient language surviving in the Western Balkans was Albanian, a descendant of the Illyrians. for example: Dacians lose their language (Romanians) Thracians too. Macedonians, Hellenes, Phrygians, Dalmatians ect ... The oldest language on the Illyrian peninsula is Albanian, and in the north its Hungarian. the others are languages created by the Orthodox Church with the mission of Pan-Slavism. Albania comes from the tribe of parthini kruja today, which was later Latinized as Albani latin: Alba=white, because parth, meaning white. in our language we call it SHQYPE, which means eagle, and it is a unique language in the Balkans. you Macedonians speak Gorani which is a dialect of Slavic. no historian observes Slavs earlier than the 4th century. Alexander the greas don't speak Gorani language 😭😂🤣
Oh yeah, Macedonia from the Far East 😂. Fuck off, obv you won’t see one homeless person in a VIDEO. Videos are edited, you’ll not see one homeless person even if watching a Paris walking tour video.
Tirana was nice, I also liked Durrës when I traveld there around 2 years ago. I'll see when I can visit again recording some walks around there. Albania surprised me in a good way. We'll see what the next summer brings
@Διονύσης it's unfortunate that you have no knowledge of history and what has actually taken place, but that's OK, allow me to educate you. The Macedonia in which you "think" is a small portion/part of greece which was partitioned to Greece in1913 by the bucharest treaty. It never was or ever will be greek. baits Not disagreeing, but the fact that compared to other capitals it looks like a village is a fact. Also people have a different opinion than yours since this country is in general a non-tourist attraction. They have one of the least tourism waves internationally. Also the fastest growing? Well not really but still let’s say a bravo. Greeks go for shopping as well as some Greek Industries go there because the salaries, items prices etc, are extremely low, (besides its normal when this country was ranked as one of the poorest Europe so yeah) Melbourne? Worse, that this? Seriously? Come on don’t overdo it. But I’d like to visit Skopje as well maybe for once who knows. I’m curious

baits Hidden “Gem”..? compared to Greece it doesn’t worth’s really anything, Greece was ranked as the most beautiful country in the world for 2019 anyways. If you find this country a gem because of some mountains and some divided border lakes then Greece what has to say where in Greece you’ll find mountains, Huge plains, green valleys, forests of many kinds, rivers, crystal lakes and beaches, 6000 islands of different climates and styles, even some desert and tropical biomes located around the country. (Not gonna include the huge metropolitan and high advanced cities and the beautiful architecture construction of villages, different built in each climate of the country) I don’t really see North Macedonia, as a gem, but of course that’s my opinion like yours, so cheers.
After visiting Sofia I am afraid that all countries in the Balkan are poor, corrupted, have a soviet customer attitude, have many traditional Arabs and gypsies and are located somewhere between 2nd and 3rd world. Nevertheless, these people are usually warmer than Europeans and nature is awsome. Anyway, this is not a generalization.
It's a pity you had a negative experience in Sofia, however, if one city is poorly managed/maintained, it doesn't mean the country or all balkan states are 2nd/3rd world. Take a walk on the streets of Dubrovnik/ Split (Croatia) and tell me if that feels like a 3rd World Country. Or Istanbul, or Plovdiv(Bulgaria) - the oldest city in the Europe. If you check Nur Sultan in Kazahstan, a country with similar standard of living to Romania/Croatia/Bulgaria, I don't believe you would think of it as a 3rd world country. Same as if you walk on the streets of Detroit and generalize for all of America.
I did not say that Sofia is not a destination to visit again. I really intend to visit Dubrovnik. Anyway, no one said that Balkan states are 3rd world. I AVOID 3rd world countries. I only said that "I am afraid". Meanwhile , keep your countries from most African & middle east invadors. Thank u.

"Skopje[...]is the capital and largest city of North Macedonia" - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skopje
Dardania isn't Albanian so it doesn't matter, (Illyrians from Dardania won Skopje only from the battles fought with Macedonians) and Yes this is the real Macedonia which Albanians have nothing to do with it.

North Macedonia is a notoriously contraversial country. Everybody in the Balkans knows that. In all fairness, claiming you are the ancestors of Alexander the Great and Cleopatra while speaking the newest slav language.. I mean, cmon :D Otherwise, Skopje looks OK.
Nobody can be direct descendant to nobody unless they live under a rock for 3000 years . People that live in Macedonia are mix of a lot of nationalities , including ancient Macedonians . Language has nothing to do with it . In North America people speak English , did they always spoke English ? People that live in todays Greece say they are descendants of ancient Greeks ? Have you ever seen the statues in Athens ? Do you really think those Greeks share a drop of blood with todays " Greeks " ? Every Bulgarian lady that I know and my Bulgarian friends are all blond hair and blond eyes , how do you think that happen ? The map was and still is tailored by the big three . There is only one way were nationalities can be proven and that is by DNA and even then nothing is %100 . But then , history will need to be written all over gain . And there is another thing , we ( " Macedonians " or " Skopians " or " Slav Macedonians " or whatever they call us ) are destroying our self's fast enough already so that nationalists from the hood don't have to worry . What ever is left in our genes , we are making sure is gone and young people don't wont to live there any more . The architecture that you see in this video is disgusting , the government raped my city ... Skopje was an architectural marvel in the 60's after the earthquake . History and religion are the worst enemy of the future . Only with education and science can humans progress .
@@kokibalboa9527 You seem like a reasonable person and you say that Macedonia is a mix of a lot of nationalities. I am pretty sure Bulgarian citizenship is the highest obtained second citizenship as well among modern macedonians. -Also, please comment on the fact all international sources see Tsar Samuil as a king of the First Bulgarian Empire and never a Macedonian kingdom. Gotse Delcvev, Dame Gruev and Sandanski as people who had a Bulgarian national identity despite fighting for a sovereign Macedonia. -Genetically wise, you are closest to Bulgarians and Serbs, yet you call Bulgarians tatars and vividly distinguish from us. -Would you not agree modern Macedonians are widely taught in school to dislike Bulgarians, see them as a threat and an enemy?
@Ilija Stojanoski comment on my points above - why do all international sources support the thesis that Gotse, Dame and Yane, Tsar Samuil are Bulgarian? Why is there no Bulgarian minority recognized in Macedonia, that's clearly absurd. Let's start from here.
If they live in macedonia then they are macedonian. You need to let go of the idea that albania will rule europe mentality because it hasent done anything for the albanians. Enjoy the video.
What are you even talking about ? I never said Albania will rule all of Europe. Yes, North Macedonia is 25% ethnically Albanian!! Do you have a problem with that?
Omg can you guys shut up About “Great Albania ” plan I NEVER said anything about that. I am simply stating the fact that North Macedonia is 25% ethnically Albanian and that most Muslims in North Macedonia are Ethnic Albanians. Yes there are Muslim Macedonians, and yes there are Christian Albanians too. But I am talking about the majority.

Artificial country. "Modern Slavs, both Bulgarians and Macedonians, cannot establish a link with antiquity, as the Slavs entered the Balkans centuries after the demise of the ancient Macedonian kingdom. Only the most radical Slavic factions-mostly émigrés in the United States, Canada, and Australia-even attempt to establish a connection to antiquity [...] The twentieth-century development of a Macedonian ethnicity, and its recent evolution into independent statehood following the collapse of the Yugoslav state in 1991, has followed a rocky road. In order to survive the vicissitudes of Balkan history and politics, the Macedonians, who have had no history, need one. They reside in a territory once part of a famous ancient kingdom, which has borne the Macedonian name as a region ever since and was called ”Macedonia” for nearly half a century as part of Yugoslavia. And they speak a language now recognized by most linguists outside Bulgaria, Serbia, and Greece as a south Slavic language separate from Slovenian, Serbo-Croatian, and Bulgarian. Their own so-called Macedonian ethnicity had evolved for more than a century, and thus it seemed natural and appropriate for them to call the new nation “Macedonia” and to attempt to provide some cultural references to bolster ethnic survival." "Macedonia Redux", in The Eye Expanded: life and the arts in Greco-Roman Antiquity, ed. Frances B Tichener & Richard F. Moorton, University of California Press, 1999
@Aleks_ Ovski Be careful of using the date of a publication as a counter-argument on its validity. That sword cuts both ways. However, if you only want to use genetics in determining an ethnicity, be my guest. Your own Skopje Forensics Medicine Institute conducted a six-year long research and concluded in 2012 that "the residents of Macedonia have the most similar DNA with Bulgarians and Serbs”. Ask Dr Zlatko Jakovski from the institute. And don't patronize me. You have no idea how much I know. Borza hit it spot on. He's retired a long time ago, indeed, but modern scholars do not disagree with this quote. For example Denko Maleski, a North Macedonian professor at the University Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, North Macedonia (International Politics and Contemporary Political Systems) and former Minister of foreign affairs of the then FYROM, said: "The creation of the 'Macedonian' nation, for almost half of a century, was done in a condition of single-party dictatorship. In those times, there was no difference between science and ideology, so the 'Macedonian; historiography, unopposed by anybody, comfortably performed a selection of the historic material from which the 'Macedonian' identity was created. There is nothing atypical here for the process of the creation of any modern nation, except when falsification from the type of substitution of the word 'Bulgarian' with the word 'Macedonian' was made. We reach towards some fictional ethnic purity which we seek in the depths of the history and we are angry at those which dare to call us Slavs and our language and culture Slavic! We are angry when they name us what we - if we have to define ourselves in such categories - are, showing that we are people full of complexes which are ashamed for ourselves." (Utrinski Vesnik newspaper, Skopje, FYROM, October 16, 2006) But since you speak about DNA, I will leave it here for you to try to dispute your own Institute's results...

Also the fastest growing? Well not really but still let’s say a bravo.
Greeks go for shopping as well as some Greek Industries go there because the salaries, items prices etc, are extremely low, (besides its normal when this country was ranked as one of the poorest Europe so yeah)
Melbourne? Worse, that this? Seriously? Come on don’t overdo it.

Thank u.

Please comment on the fact that there is no Bulgarian minority recognized in the country of N. Macedonia, when literally tens of thousand (if not hundreds) people have relatives in both countries.
@Ilija Stojanoski And where is their Pakistani origin ???
@Ilija Stojanoski comment on my points above - why do all international sources support the thesis that Gotse, Dame and Yane, Tsar Samuil are Bulgarian? Why is there no Bulgarian minority recognized in Macedonia, that's clearly absurd. Let's start from here.

Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, North Macedonia (International Politics and Contemporary Political Systems) and former Minister of foreign affairs of the then FYROM, said:
"The creation of the 'Macedonian' nation, for almost half of a century, was done in a condition of single-party dictatorship. We are angry when they name us what we - if we have to define ourselves in such categories - are, showing that we are people full of complexes which are ashamed for ourselves." (Utrinski Vesnik newspaper, Skopje, FYROM, October 16, 2006)
But since you speak about DNA, I will leave it here for you to try to dispute your own Institute's results...
