You guys are awesome. Just picked up fishing this year to get away from the worlds nonsense, Bought myself and my 4 yr old son combo's, and been listening to your guys advice. I caught my first bass today and was about 4lbs. So keep up the videos!!
I turn in to a sponge when this dude starts breaking it down... Solid info that WORKS! I have become such a better bass fisherman applying what TB teaches... Thx again🤙
I just started watching you guys in March and using your tips I'm having the best fishing season of my life. I'm catching bigger bass and more of them.
I've been catching multiple 6+ pounders Right at dark and all the way until midnight. Nighttime bass fishing is my go to fishing method for summer bass.
I caught about 300 bass in the past four months and I give all the credit to you guys. It wasn’t really about the baits as much as I previously thought but more about the location. Thanks Matt and Tim!
Thanks for doing an updated version of this! Starting to hit those upper 90s-100+ here in Texas so I'm having hell figuring them out unless it's early morning. Just got a 5lb 6oz recently and a few more between 2 & 3lbs, but the very next day, same conditions, I couldn't get bit to save my life
I never comment, but i wanted you to know I’m stoked to hear your putting out detailed videos on how to work the baits! I love fishing, been doing it since I could ride my bike to the lake! But sometimes you feel like you’re just doing it wrong, excited to seen the upcoming videos. Keep it up much appreciated
I'm in AZ as well, Chandler area. If we dont get out there by 6 AM, forget about it. And I dont have a boat so I'm stuck bank fishing mainly subdivision lakes and ponds.
I literally caught a fish just now, @ 3:30a.m. in the dark, off the bank, in the shallows, at a Lowland Reservoir, AS I'M WATCHING YOUR VIDEO & taking your advice about "unique pieces of cover"....... The kicker? I GOT IT VIDEO :) Thanks, guys!!
This channel is by far the most informative one I've seen on the subject bass. These insights are deep, and I say that as an angler of 40+ years. Kudos & thanks TB!
I have my own RUclips channel with bass fishing content so this is hard for me to say but Tactical Bassin is the only bass fishing RUclips channel you need to watch😀
This man is godly. What an amount of information… maybe to much lol your making easy there for more pressure as a fisherman lol but Na man , real talk your amazing and your videos are too! Thank you so much ❤
Who is here to seek solutions after getting skunked on a full moon day and blaming the heat🙋♂️😤🤔Lots of thanks to Matt and Tim for keeping us motivated!
Love it! Planning out a trip to a low land res for the full moon we’re about to have and just that little bit of information extra can be the difference between getting that big one and not. Thanks Matt!!
Is lake havasu considered a natural lake or a river system? Or both? Man I love.going through the archives... I've been watching for years now. Never gets old, always catching something I missed the first time. Also crazy to know that Yall have been out of clearlake for like 3 years now.. time flies man
Are you guys coming to Alabama? My home lake is Mitchell on the Coosa compounds. My goal this summer is to apply all that you guys are teaching to try and find a good offshore bite. Thank you for the fun educational videos.
i love all the videos i seam to forget some small details and bam! you refresh my memories please if your still in east Tennessee stop at lake Norris is a tough clear lake to fish and id love to see how you guys do!
You also need to remember the Creeks that run into rivers can be phenomenal they fish exactly the same as a river go run up in them find a deeper spots with current or grass and fish will load up
@@jaylee6936 I have, I've watched a ton of videos. Been subbed for a few years. I've really only heard them discussing color lines for a few months. Would be nice for them to do a video dedicated to that, they do one for tons of other stuff
Heck yea, love fishing the fast waters. Idk why people are affraid to fish rushing water. Best spots for smallies, behind structure gets them everytime
I was having a blast in the early part of the year, now that it is summer here in Az 112’ finding that these fish are shutting off. Maybe I am throwing the wrong stuff. Going to try some swim baits next time I go out, cause my Senkos and drop shots weren’t even working. As summers are hard here, I need to figure them out. Would be great if you came out here and did a video
I wish "points and structure" were called "humps and ledges". It took me forever to realize what EVERYBODY was talking about. They had me looking for land peninsula's sticking flat out into the water off land (point) and logs and grass (structure) in deep water. When I'm reality, they both mean humps and ledges.
I catch my bigs in summer in only 1-9 ft of water in the summer.recently I caught a three and a half pounder not even a foot of water like 10 inches of water. Always catch summer fish in the shallows
Up North at my family's cottage, catches Bass is no trouble at all, when I fish at the channel my family's boat is at. Bass are very very plentiful, I can catch them without even trying. Back home it's a little more difficult, though. I try really hard to catch bass, and have only caught one, and even worse, I feel the pond I go to is way too overfished.
You're a great bass fishing professor: ) Would an Alabama rig work during the summer? Is southern California the hardest place to catch fish? Feels that way !
I live on a smaller lake (160 acres) that is seemingly unlike any regular lake. We have decent fish but man are they hard to catch in the summer. The odd thing is, there is no grass (lake is in northern Pennsylvania). No shad either, all bluegill, perch, and large mouths. Does the color line still apply here? It's a man made lake, mostly a mud bottom but some rock closer to shore. Creek bed is the deepest through the center at 15 ft and it is decently rocky. Thanks!
Do you guys possibly have any tips on avoiding pike when shooting for bass? Up here in Illinois I consistently only get pike on my S-waver and even on my pitching jigs i get so many pike and It’s tough
I'm using a 7 ft medium heavy fast action and 7 foot medium with fast action 30lb braid is that decent for frogging light cover or what would this setup be better suited for? I can purchase other setups if I need to. I'm a big fly fisherman just got into bass fishing. Please help. Missouri.
love you guy, how can you advise this for us bank Walkers that don't have access to kayaks, boats, electronics but full on huge reservoir bank fishing... can we even reach them from shore on a reservoir from shore!
Traveling the country, but other than Lake Erie, bet you never fished PA. Come to S.E.PA and see if your techniques stack up. I've got a place that will test your skills.😉
What lake are you on? You have to be close to me I fished Pickwick today! Wish you could take me out fishing! I'm having fisherman block and can't find fish ANYWHERE!
Here is my issue I live on a big beautiful lake that has nice pond directly connected the gap between the 2 is about a foot deep then it starts to drop down deeper the pond side is mostly the fishing area it's lined with lillies all around the edges and in the open water section it's other submerged plant life. Now I can always rock the bass with a frog in the lily areas but fishing the open water section all I ever catch is pickeral. The main lake section is deep but shallow all the way around with really no plant life just some deep down submerged plant life here and there some down logs but I never see anything in the 4 to 6 foot shallow sections around these logs our water is very clear. So that's why I stay to the pond side but I hate having to just fish frogs for the base and I feel they should be in the open water section of the pond also but again I strictly catch pickeral there. Any tips or suggestions to how to get or find those bass that should be possible in the open water section Also? The pond sides open water area at it's deep part is only 10ft rest is around 2 to 4 on average. Lots of Lilly grass and submerged plant life. Any tips would be awesone..
So I live on a large pond with little to no grass and about 6" visibility so playing the color line and the grass line aren't really options for me. Deepest point is down by the damn and only about 6 feet deep. Any suggestions for me?

I'm in Arizona my summers hit different when you said you were sweating I laughed
Right 🤣I'm next to lake Powell man the heat can get real .
Lol its been over 100 here in cali where matt and tim are from several times already in the last month.
Grew up in Phoenix, but I'll tell you what, I'd take 115 degree dry heat over this 95 degree humid weather in Dallas.
Yea Andrew I feel you. I live in SW FL. Our summer is typically from February until October. LOL

This is the most accurate perspective of fish locations per fisheries I’ve listened to. I agree with it 100%.
Thanks for covering rivers! I feel like they get overlooked by a lot of the RUclips community.
I like that you drop this vid day of the June full moon

Love the info always on top of the game !!!
Thanks for the vid, I'm a kayak fisherman out on the Cali San Joaquin delta so I've really been trying to pinpoint the best fishing spots. 👍
Y’all are the best fishing RUclips channel
Love the videos. I've learned so many new techniques from you guys. Last year had my pb on a chatterbait with one of the recommended trailers.

Awesome tips Matt 👍
Cool video. Would love to see a video of your thoughts on Watts Bar when you’ve finished and what you discovered when you’re done.
Thanks for advice on punching, I got a 7 lbs bass because of it!!
Good stuff Matt! 💯
I have that kvd crankbait same color and it is very good

The lower stretch is a lowland reservoir while the upper end behaves much more like a river.
Swing head slaps, caught my pb in the profile pick o one wit a 8. Inch robo worm

Another awesome video guys. Just a little confused on what you mean by color line.
Very thorough
Matt you are square on with the Crankbaits. By the way it's my favorite. I completely smash Big Bass with Crankbaits!
You also need to remember the Creeks that run into rivers can be phenomenal they fish exactly the same as a river go run up in them find a deeper spots with current or grass and fish will load up
Matt, try the Dstyle Truster or Keitech Fat on a swing jig. I've found them to be much more productive than crazy flapper, rage bug and biffle bug.
Can you do a video explaining what exactly it looks like to fish color lines? Fish parallel etc. Thanks

Hey Matt! Was wondering if you could do a visual example with a topography map when mentioning the ledges and color lines.
Night fishing is the way to go in my opinion
Matt,
You guys need to fish Dale Hollow for smallies!!
Flutter spoon. Deep water ledges and holes.
Thanks for this vid I’m going tomorrow to the lake
Live, large shiner minnows still are the best producer for me. 👍🏻 I’m old school 😂
You guys need to make a podcast.
Thanks for all the advice and wisdom. I appreciate you guys 🎣😎
Define color line pattern
Everytime I watch a Tactical Bassin video, I click on the Tackle Warehouse site next!!!

How would soft plastic bluegill do? ya think it would be good during the summer? I guess it’s similar to a swim bait.
That color like has been an important thing for me flipping.

Marinas and anywhere River/creek channels swing within casting distance from shore. That is some places that worked for me.
Do you think that flooding conditions or just high water levels affect what you're saying at all?
in the stradic fl would you get the 2500 or 300 size for wacky
