Glad to hear from you. You need to check what are import fees in your country (google search it) there is limit for item value for which you need to pay extra fee to your country. About the camera you cant go wrong with it, i'm using it all summer here with no problems. Of Course if you use it in water use provided case.
great review. My first action cam was the sj4000 and was an excellent camera then xiaomi yi, dazzne p2 and now my fav is the gitup git2. I got a soft spot for the sj cams and nice to see they are building on success.
PO TATO I really liked the sj4000 at 50pounds. However it is 3-4 years old now. for 90 pound i am using the Git2 which is better. Maybe the The M20 is newer and better. Yes but there are better cameras out there.
It would be better IF it had a standard camera mount.. One of the reasons beyond price I don't have a gopro is the bucket of non standard mounts unique to gopro that I don't have or want.. The SJCam M20 comes with a clip with the standard mount at the bottom, but it covers up the display which is helpful if you can actually see it right ? So I have about 50 mug shots of my face squinting to see if the dim blinking light is showing record mode and I some times just chance it.. as a result I miss out on about half of everything I am trying to record..

the motion detector is from the front of the camera (by programme), and not by moving the camera. I would assume the batteries are different, the gopro is rectngular and this one is weirdly shaped

M20 user here, You mentioned that double file will save on the memcard and on the phone, i turned on this option but it only saves to the memcard. it does not save to camera roll (iphone). i have to use the sjcam app and have to download manually (one picture at a time) in order to save it to camera roll... any thoughts? thanks in advance.
Great review. I see it has quite a few mounts included in the box. I was particularly interested in the chest mount where I believe you can just clip it to your shirt and start recording. Do you know if this works well?

Dock charger? you can charge it directly with usb from your PC (slow way) faster is with your wall charger... BUT Try to use lower A charger 1A is fine dont over do it! Thanks for support, it is always joy to read positive comment :)
Too bad I had problems with my M20. Disappointed in the terrible battery life and noticed smears in details. Also had white pixel dots in the movies which was a deal breaker. The sound is only acceptable but no way to add an external microphone . I had the WiFi watch controller but it will only turn the camera off and not on. I agree it had some good qualities, thats why I bought one. Like you said a path in the right direction... Now I am looking for another camera..Maybe a Yi 4K?
There is no such thing as perfection. Pixel dots where (i believe) defective units, readied that on forum. Sound is fine better than on SJ5000X but far away from perfect and yes you cant add external mic (from SJ6 and up you can). Battery life bad? For me it is common sense to have at least 2 batteries... that is enough for 3hrs of demanding recording. Yi 4k || never had opportunity to test, but others give good feedback... But it cost 300+ that is just way too much for my taste ...
Yes I have common sense and 2 batteries + a power bank. I only got 15-20 minutes in 20 degree weather on one battery running 1080P, on a tripod with no sound or gyro turned on. That sucks. The Yi k4 is not $300 it is 199 so it is $80 more but may be worth it with superior video and battery life. No ONE is perfect ether.

Yes, ordered some stuff, it might / might not reach depending on your luck because of the cheap hasty shipping which you can't track, but Gearbest usually reasonably refunds if you lose your parcel.

Man I was about to order one as a back up and another angle to my GoPros until you said no external mic :( no good for me on my bike because of heavy wind noise.
It have all languages but it is probably set on chinese from start (my wasn't) power on then press again power button 2 times you will see the menu, press up once then press record select button and finally press up button 7 times, then select it and there you can change language

The battery lasts barely 20+ minutes in full res. recording... 20+ minutes! So terrible. Tech-specs are good but they make no use without a good battery...

M20 has no support for any kind of external mic. Also sound quality in waterproof case - always consider that is like you don't have it :)
