    We stumbled upon your videos with a random search of Guadalajara after watching dozens of videos from others. Your channel was definitely one of the best channels. The video quality, clear speaking, sense of humor, just the info you gave we found very helpful. As a married gay couple who moved from Los Angeles to Puerto Vallarta a year ago, we also appreciated that even though you are a straight guy, that you didn't make any offensive or derogatory homophobic comments. We are considering at some point moving to Guadalajara, most likely Zapopan, so we hope you will make more videos like Providencia, more of Puerta de Hierro, other modern areas, etc even if they might be a bit on the high side. We prefer modern, but like to visit all areas. We are going for the first time in two weeks. Your videos are contributing to what we are considering checking out and/or avoiding. Anyway, new subscribers and we look forward to more videos.

    I love Guadalajara, right next to that fancy mall you visited, which is called Andares, you can find the Ferrari/Maserati dealership, you barely missed it.

      That doesn't surprise me. The area had a "Ferrari/Maserati" feel to it.

    What I like of Guadalajara is that is a mix of old and new, like Tokyo mixed with modern and still traditional architecture. CDMX looks like NYC with mostly modern buildings

    I've been to puerto vallarta not far from there. It's a decent beach town with pretty good food. It's a cruise destination so it caters to tourists. It was nice

    Man, you are guessing wrong. That specific area wakes up later. There are millions of people up since 4:30 am or earlier every day. Keep looking.

    Hi Sly. Bienvenidos Jalisco. Have you been to the Lake Chapala/Ajijic area? Largest lake in Mexico. Only about 1 hour from GDL on bus or driver etc.

      In 2023, $8,000 pesos per person monthly is enough to live decently. Add the cost of your rent if you do not have your own home.

    Zapopan has basically the same population as the city of Guadalajara, maybe more. Mostly not very walkable, but tons of higher end stores and restaurants.

    Nice video, what resources did you use to learn Spanish?

    • @slyslife

      It is very useful to know basic concepts of Spanish while you are in Mexico. Even if people know how to speak English, they like to see when the foreigner makes an effort to speak their language. You can definitely create a greater connection with the locals if you at least try!

    Nice to see Zapopan again. I was there for 3 months last winter. I even bought juices from that man with that heavy beard. I got to be like his brother LOL. His madre is the Jefe LOL. She is a big grande fan of Juan Gabriel as I am also. Almost every time i went there to buy ok, it was more in the evening and his madre was there and they have their pickup truck parked on the street so she turned on Juan Gabriel musica to play so maybe they thought no, I'm just kidding but they wanted to give me good service as the Mexicans do. And here folks and this is kind of weird or I don't really know what to make of it but I was in Guadalajara when Juan Gabriel died back then in Agosto 2016. And here I was again in Guadalajara in Decembre the 12th 2021 when Vicente Fernandez died and I was at a party being dressed as a mariachi singer so who knows. my 2 favorites died while I was in Mexico. Ok, good video enjoy Mexico viva Mexico and Viva la Vida like Frida said.

    What kind of camera are you using? And did they say why you weren’t allowed to record in the mall?

    • @Belgarath777
      @Belgarath777 2 года назад

      It may not be allowed, but plenty of people do it. There are a lot of videos out there of people doing I guess what they aren't supposed to :-).

      Zapopan and Guadalajara in general are still considered the Silicon Valley of Latin America. There are many Technology Companies installed in this area, like is Intel, Oracle, Siemens, Hewlett Packard, Flextronics, Sanmina, etc., etc. It is the modern part of Guadalajara.
