Great video! The EST Genesis Ceiling Horn Strobes in red are a lot harder to find (in buildings) that the EST Genesis Ceiling Horn Strobes in white. Mine is a wall mount one with red lens. What do you think of that?
I think EST has the best notification devices because they’re so low profile and hard to destroy with a thrown ball and whatnot. The older wall mount ones, not so much, but the newer LED ones are virtually indestructible without getting hands on with it. Nice video! 😁
@@FireAlarmDude5967 the new G1, G4 and GC series are very well built, i have installed plenty G1s and G4s and the only downside is that mounting a G1 on it’s corresponding trim plate is a big pain
I’m not a big fan of the ceiling-mount Advances, and not planning to add those versions into my collection. I do own a ceiling-mount L-Series Low Frequency Sounder.
I think the Genesis series is pretty decent despite the horn and some of its flaws. IMO it's the best device for aesthetics. The LED ones I don't like. I have seen a red ceiling mount remote strobe in a hospital. I wish that Edward's AVs were like Wheelock, Gentex and System Sensor when it comes to availability. Honestly EST makes decent A/Vs and Pull Stations but they suck at panels.
EST liked bragging about not having “Bulky” reflectors. Modern alarms have plastic with paint on them to make them reflective. I do know that the EST Integrity uses a metal reflector. My old school had these alarms but in white and without fire lettering. The best thing about these is how compact and effective they are with alerting people of a fire. And they are most certainly loud.
