You're right about the white parts. I've got a white rig, and it's between this Gigabyte RTX 4080 Aero card, or a Asrock 7900 XTX Taichi White card. We don't have a lot of options for white, so if you make white, we will buy it!

They apparently use more premium parts on their boards, and have a cast aluminum chassis, so that's cool if you're going to keep it forever. I just paid $1299 USD for my 4080 Aero 1 hour ago. Same store had the Asus Strix for $1549. They had multiples on the shelves. I chose it before watching this video. Its going in a all white build.
I like the white and silver look. It matches with the royal ram and the white and silver parts on lian LI fans as well as some mobos having white and sliver.
The Strix is definitely $1549.99 at Microcenter. I checked the two stores local to me and that is the price listed, and they don't seem to be selling. In fact *none* of the 4080s seem to be moving much, plenty in stock. The Aero is listed at $1299.99 at the same retailer.
This would have been a great card at.. $799. You would have to be out of your mind to pay $1200+ for it. RTX 3080 launch buyers didn't know how good they had it. Sad.

The 4080 is around 50% faster than the 3080 and 25% faster than the 3090-Ti… you are getting 25% better performance if you are comparing 4080 to 3090ti.. or 4080 to 3080ti…. And you are aware the 3080ti and 3090ti aren’t cheap either, right?

When people are struggling to make ends meet, these prices are freaking insane, $1,200+ for a video card that the last generation was $700, and the midrange 40 series cards will probably be in the price range that was occupied by the 80 SKU's previously. I'll just stick with what I have until Nvidia regain control of their minds.

Asus win on aesthetics, both TUF & Strix. That is the ONLY metric cards AIB's using that manufacturer's graphic processors will get a thumbs up from me on. For me, the 4080 is a solid don't buy at current prices. Sure, it's a pretty solid performer, but it's poor value. The 4090 smokes it for not a heck of a lot more cash (if you could find a 4090 for MSRP, that is).

I want to upgrade from a 2070 super and I was looking at this card. But with tax it comes to $1381 USD. How the hell do I justify pulling the trigger on that haha. I would have to build a new PC and I’d end up spending at least $3K
There is one big reason i will only buy a strix like i did. It is the only 4080super to truely be able to get a 33% power gain uo to 420watts as techpowerup proved. So yes it may be 320 out of the box but its really 360 in performance mode even if it never hits that. But the 33% really opens it uo in the OC area. It can give you gains of up to 10fps extra over competitors so its like having a 4080ti lol. People can talk about asus customer srrvice all they want. But they still have there perks and its why its still the no1 brand for coolers capacitors, vrm and more. Lhckily they said they will work on the customer srrvice aspect and rma issues with charging on everything. If they can work that out its hard to beat them at anything.

I can't find any reviews or comparisons of the 4090 Aero. The price point is so great, instead of charging and extra $500+ for WHITE, they just dropped the RGB :( It's definitely not the prettiest, but when you have a white build and would rather pay for performance over aesthetic we gotta make cuts. booo cuts! I just picked up a refurbished ROG 4080 non-S for $750 at my local microcenter. Add 2 yrs warranty for $40. Good things happen when you wait lol.

Does anyone know if the 4080 Aero actually fits in the Lian Li O11 Dynamic? The length isn’t a problem but the width of the card looks too big to me?
