Love what you guys do and another great video, but Jesus-you were closer to dying on those abseils than when running the falls! Definitely more training needed there and a prusik backup on the brake rope to stop you dying if your hand slips. Stay safe gents and keep the great paddling vids coming.

Loved the send but I couldn't help but notice that you filmed all the sitting down in 1 sitting and said you were going to do it in 2 weeks then you talked as if you were there. Ps. Next adventure should be to find some 1st decents somewhere

Amazing paddling, but as others have said, please get some better instruction on rope techniques. That was sketchy! A prussic backup is a very good idea. You can also wrap the rope around your leg a few times if you need to stop and go hands free while abseiling. Stay safe out there.
Do yourselves a favor and hire an experienced canyoneering guide for these types of missions. Even an inexperienced but well trained (myself) canyoneer would have done a better job. There were several big mistakes done on that rappel, including the device you used! You should have used a canyoneering specific rappel device and rappel with the rope in a bag under you not in the water. And ideally have someone else go first just for rappel safety/assistance that would have climbed back up afterwards. I'm glad nothing bad happened!
I am Katherine from Cambridge, and I feel like I'm in my element when being given a ride in a punt on the mill pond behind King's College. I have paddled a few class 5's, but feared for my life the whole time, and came out looking more like a zombie than a human. You know, that fixed stare that is looking at nothing in specific and your mouth hanging open? I live on adrenaline though, and the punts on the mill pond just don't provide any of that. They're fine for Amore, but adrenaline they lack. But over a waterfall that big... I don't know... If I had that serine felling, it would because I was about to die. So, when are you going to run horseshoe falls at Niagra Falls in US/Canada? It would be one way to conclude an otherwise brilliant life.
Seriously, sketchiest shit I've ever seen. learn how to use ropes properly, 2 hands on the brake, use a prussik, and practice ascending before you go down and realize your gear isn't working. I suggest learning from someone that knows what they're doing, not some guy you found that's 90% sure that they've set it up right, you need to be 100% certain when you're doing that stuff. You guys are amazing kayakers and I love watching your videos, it would be a shame if you died or were seriously injured because you didn't learn how to properly use ropes. keep sending it boys you're killing it!
Always when you show someone to first time decent at a rope and self belay use a second rope for safety at the person decensing when you are responsible. When they fail cause of planic or maybe get their thumb inside their tool they will fall with all the various possible results. Dude think twice when you are the expert at the climbing stuff. Or show them how to use a so called prusig sling (sorry I don't know the English word for it). For God sake, when you are responsible: safety first.

RIP. He died in Switzerland at 29 years old. Kayaking took his life.
