Silver pass at valleyfair also doesnt allow you to go on Saturdays
who would wanna do that anyway
Thanks, I missed that! Oops...same deal with Dorney Park
Especially at valleyfair. That park gets packed from my experience
starboyky most amusement parks operate on weekends only come late august and early September

I think Zambezi zinger is a great addition to worlds of fun, long overdue for the park. Just feels weird that they’re getting 2 gci’s in a row, and now they’re the only park to have 2.
I guess that's true now that Wildcat is closed
It's very strange. I still poke fun at the Titan track as what you get when you order a RMC coaster off of wish 😂
3 if you count the timber wolf 2018 modification
i count lightning racer as 2 credits because it's 2 tracks
A spiral lift on a woody just needs to exist at least once.
When your local Cedar Fair park is Great America🥲
The “surprise thrill” on Montezoomas is going to be a randomized forwards/backwards launch out of the station.
I think Zinger is still a good addition. A tamer version of Renegade and a step up from Timber Wolf. I also hope more rides get added to the Boardwalk section in Cedar Point. And also spruce up Kiddie Kingdom. Aeronautica Landing is a slam dunk for Carowinds. That area of the park SCREAMED for attention. Also kind of wish they kept Southern Star and rethemed it to fit the area. CGA's announcement kind of surprised me a bit. I did not expect an extended schedule. Very glad they're bringing back Red White and Brews and Carnivale as they were major hits at the park.
Well let’s enjoy the 2023 season next year because they slowly might be taking rides out starting in 2024.
@@zacharyyamashita8554 id say don't bet on it
The Zambezi does fill a gap, a 14 year gap lol. But for real, it fills a height requirement gap, there wasn't much else beside spinning dragons for younger riders. But even people in their 50's are excited for the return of the Zambezi. I bet we get a new Orient Express by 2030!!!
I love what they are doing at Cedar Point. The park really needed something new for families with young children and this is an excellent answer. Also another dining option with AC/rain shelter is always a big win.
Haven't been to Worlds of Fun yet but do plan to go some day and this will help me justify the cost. I feel for that park, any new coaster additions is a big deal. It really needed something and it got well... something.
Fun fact: Wild Mouse will be the first ever spinning coaster at Cedar Point
Don't tell Cedar Point, they've been calling Pipe Scream a coaster since it opened.
Couldn't Cedar Fair hook up Michigan's Adventure with an old Gravitron from the carnival or something?
Considering my homepark is Carowinds I will for sure be checking out the new area next year. I'm not a big flat rides guy but the area around Afterburn really did need some love so I'm glad it's getting it.
No, Zambi is exactly what we needed at WoF. It'll be a good intro for kids to rollercoasters as we really don't have a good family coaster besides Dragons, but if you don't like to spin it's not a good first major coaster, so the new Zambi will be perfect. All said, this type of ride is something I've heard mentioned from guests all the time as something they wanted to see.
"Zamperla" came up again and again - I wonder if CP chose them for the new Wild Mouse coaster because of pricing.
The new Zambezi Zinger will be a great coaster addition that will help Worlds Of Fun grow in the upcoming years. It honestly seems like a smart move by Cedar Fair considering Worlds Of Fun is a family friendly park.
with worlds of fun being my homepark its really nice to see it finally get a new coaster . Though I think it would have made sense to give it one of those new intamin launch coasters maybe the double or triple, maybe next coaster😏
There's the possibility of a Mack multi-launch getting the "Orient Express" moniker!
Reporter: *So tell us. Why did you build a second GCI right next to the original?!?*
WoF in Mr.Krabs voice: *MONEY!!*
as someone who's home park recently changed from six flags great america to... valleyfair.... life is pain :(
worlds of fun is also getting better themeing for next year
You couldn't be more wrong about WoF. This coaster is exactly what the general public wanted. It will be a hit
I agree. It fit a totally needed gap in the WOF lineup too, perhaps even more so than a launch coaster. There was a severe gap between the jump between spinning dragons and Timberwolf. Looks to be a great hit for the park. AT has some bold opinions and another one being that WOF “is arguably the worst CF park”. Having been to a majority of the CF parks, WOF is definitely not the worst. Not even bottom 3.
@@coasterchaos1866 This is the coaster people have been calling for that actually visit the park. He's not going to be spending money thier regardless of what they put in.
I didn't ask for this but for waiting 14 years I guess I will take what I can get. Maybe they will bring back the orient as a raptor if RMC and cf will be working together again.
@@beardedswordsman2901 I actually wanted this. The Zinger was the ultimate family thrill coaster. A fun ride with no restraints. We lack a good family coaster that doesn't spin
Yeah if you look through the Facebook comments, nearly every one is some variation of "It's back! I'm so glad"
Boardwalk at Cedar Point is exciting for the new coaster. P.S. you forgor the windseeker coming back on the boardwalk
This bum didn’t just say WOF was the worst park in the chain 🤡
So Worlds of Fun gets some love after all these years of nothing. The question now is which smaller park gets a major coaster next? My prediction is Dorney, then Valleyfair finally gets some love, and then Michigan’s Adventure finally will get a relocation from CGA before having to wait another 20 years for a new ride
Michigan’s Adventure deserves Patriot 😉, and Valleyfair deserves Flight Deck.
Dorney would make sense, with the shuttle woodie they wanted to build there
I live near Reading, PA and only have a 40 minute drive to Dorney Park - I don't think I've been to Dorney in at least 4-5 years now. It REALLY needs a refresh and a new coaster, but it also doesn't help that it's pretty much smashed between Knoebels, Hershey, and Great Adventure. I'm hoping Dorney gets that shuttle woodie.
Hopefully it's not another 14 years before Worlds of Fun gets a new coaster!!
More cool flat rides at a park known for cool flat rides is never a bad decision tbh
Now let's hope they can get Sledgehammer working more reliably
It also fills the need of a coaster bridge from the kiddie coaster to timber wolf. The new infinity flyer trains are supposed to have a lower height requirement than 48”, not everyone wants to spin. I didn’t love the choice at first, but the more I think about it, it makes some sense. Cedar fair and WOF love working with GCI.
I'm not too thrilled about it but I guess we'll take what we can get. I just better not see another one whenever that maybe.. probably another 14 years maybe or they may flex and give us nothing until the next anniversary celebration 🤣
@@beardedswordsman2901 just wait, I know they haven’t given enough love to this park, but things are changing. Kc metro is growing fast for the Midwest, new airport nearby, and World Cup in 2026. Cedar fair has dumped big dollars here before, don’t be surprised if this ends up kicking off another run of growth for the park. Remember that Mamba, Boomerang, Spinning Dragons, Patriot, and Prowler were all built in an 11 year period. I’m hearing Orient Express reimagined for 2025-26.
@@rustyshackleford6746 well I'll believe it when I see it but it better not be another gci woody, I'm already sick of them. Plus I really don't like how long they last before they become they become like every other Woody. The Titan track thing sounds like their own version of RMC's design but why didn't they implement it on the entire ride instead of just parts? It just doesn't make any sense. I really hope RMC and cedar fair can repair whatever it was that stopped doing business because at this point WoF is going to become a GCI's testing ground and I really don't care for that. Especially when much better manufacturers exist. I think if CF and RMC work together again a raptor would be nice for the oe remake but of course I'm probably dreaming and it will never happen lol
Spinning Dragons was already a pretty good bridge from the kids ride to Timberwolf, this looks to be more on the level of Timberwolf
Yeah, from building Prowler in 2009, to renovating and retracting Timber Wolf, to this ride, you can’t deny how much Cedar Fair and WOF love working with GCI ~~
I don't get the hate for Words of Fun. It may not have 14 coasters but the coasters it has are pretty good. Many parks have a lot of bad coasters. It's also nice and clean and decently themed and has some good flat rides. After this new GCI, they just need to add a big thriller like a launch and WoF would easily move to the top third of CF parks. I sort of miss WoF and I live in DC near several parks. WoF is for sure better than Six Flags here and not that far off from Kings Dominion. This should be a great ride for the park, but again, they need to add one more after this, hopefully something they can call the Orient Express.
I love how Cedar Fair has recently begun to give nods to each park's unique history. They're doing it with Cedar Point and World's of Fun, and they are continuing to develop Frontier Canada at my home park, Canada's Wonderland. Each park in the chain has it's own individual personality.
Carowinds too. With Aeronautica Landing and Blue Ridge Landing.
i thought the whole track was gonna be titan track at wof? where did you see only the lift and the first drop?
edit: i looked it up after and it is only on the lift sections and the track the passes it
I’m a KC resident, and the hype for Zambezi Zinger is unreal. It’s the first coaster here in 14 years, and with all the nostalgia for the name with old guys like me. Hopefully this leads to us getting an Orient Express reboot soon.
I know I went last weekend but I didnt ride it because the line was extremely long
Honestly I think Zambezi is a great family ride which we need. I hope that we get something bigger in the years to come.
Buy or sell: We will see a CEO for Six Flags within 5 years that will be willing to think about adding new coasters.
Worlds of fun has a very bright future imo
The Zambezi Zinger looks like an awesome family coaster! I'm totally loving the spiral lift hill, especially on a wooden structure.
Oh when I saw the announcement for Zambezi Zinger II (That is the official name), I reached out to my family in Nebraska to prepare for a trip back to my home park (I went to Worlds of Fun a record 27 times) they are equally excited (heck I convinced my grandma to ride it once)
I could honestly make an argument for why Worlds of Fun is the best Cedar Fair park.
hi im just saying im prob going to go to cedar fair in 2023 or 2024 but valleyfair is my home park so do i get platinum pass or no i will be there for 4 day and im prob going to got to kings lsland to so do i get it airtime thrills oh and one more think thanks for the videos
Cedar fair has managed to invest so much into their top 7 parks that they can now afford to give smaller investments and build up Worlds of Fun. At least I hope that’s what this is a sign of, and not just an overdue addition
Having Michigan’s Adventure as my home park makes me really sad. I even thought of clicking out Thai video once I saw we aren’t getting anything, but stifled around to see what cool stuff Cedar was bringing. But we get nothing. No new exciting rides. No events or shows. NOTHING. Only thing recently was camp snoopy and that’s fine for kids, but other than that it’s been the same park that it was when I first went at 4 years old. Even just like events or a Halloween event would be fine. But we remain as the most neglected and forgotten cedar fair park
Carowinds Prestige+ Pass is $325.
*NICE*
In the Netherlands, Efteling is investing 75 million the next couple of years in the only park they own ;-) Spookslot (opened in 1977, which means ghost castle) is being replaced by Danse Macabre and they are building another new hotel at the entrance, set to open in 2024! Cedar Fair has a lot more money, than Efteling, so I find it a little disappointing, what they actually do with it! Of course this has a lot to do with shareholders wanting more money for themselves, while Efteling is owned by a non profit foundation ;-)
Money is evil!!! Let us get rid of it...
Zambezi zinger should be a great new addition to the park! But they need to look at more things to get visitors coming in more since there will be alot of people coming in with the Fifa world cup being help in the area in a few years.
The only downside to the carrowins update is we are lousing southern star the swinging ship. It was the last of its model so I can understand but it was fun.
I was 8 when prowler opened and I’ll be 22 when Zambezi Zinger opens. I’ll take anything I can get.
CGA: “Hey guys, we may be closing, but we’re getting a new scrambler ride! Look at how shiny it is! Isn’t that so cool?”
Gets a Zamperla WindStar
Uhhh... Worlds of Fun is NOT the worst park in the Cedar Fair chain. I went to Dorney Park last summer for the first time and was not impressed with how generic the park is. I feel the same way about Valleyfair. Worlds of Fun has such a rich history with a LOT of character that I do not think very many people (Coaster Enthusiasts especially) appreciate. The landscaping is beautiful and there is plenty of land to expand. I think having Silver Dollar City 3.5 hours south of the park hurts its numbers and Cedar Fair has not taken the time to invest in Worlds of Fun to compete with the success that is Silver Dollar City. I think Zambezi Zinger is going to be a hit and those that were hurt back in 1997 with the original Zambezi Zinger removal will be coming back. A lot of people have boycotted Worlds of Fun and Cedar Fair for deciding to remove BOTH Zambezi Zinger AND Orient Express without any reason or a farewell.
I do get the frustration with the GP not understanding their removals. ZZ had no reason to be removed, but Orient express, while neat, was still an arrow looper and a very rough one at that. The ride had simply become too much of a problem for the park.
You also have to understand that WIF is about to undergo a massive overhaul and retheming, painting, and propping of the park. Watch Ken Parks's explanation. I feel that tgey will be adding a dark ride in the next couple of years.
Cedar Point is sure clearing a lot of space near Corkscrew by moving Matterhorn and Scrambler. This leaves me thinking there are some big plans in the works for 2024.
I think the new areas at Carowinds and Cedar Point look fantastic. I also think Zambezi (sp?) Zinger will be a fun ride. Maybe they're planning to remove something after it's built. At least they're getting SOMETHING. Should bring some more people into the park.
The year isn't over yet. They still may remove something... cough boomerang cough
@@beardedswordsman2901 I have been 9 times since 2019 and I have yet to get that credit
It is sad that Michigan's Adventure never gets investments. I'm probably not the only nerd who likes both coasters and passenger trains. Instead of driving from Michigan to Cedar Point, how about taking Amtrak from Michigan to Chicago? Then take Metra to Waukegan and take a bus the rest of the way to Six Flags Great America. All Amtrak trains in Michigan go to Chicago.
I'm so glad WOF is number 1
Wild mouse is a good coaster for cedar point because of escalation because there are 2 coasters with a height requirement below 48 inches also what’s your thoughts about wildcat being rmced
Dorney really needs a new coaster
WOF Is my home park, im glad to have another coaster but would rather something like an rmc raptor.
Nope... we now have 3 woodies. :|
I agree with your number 1 because its the only cedar fair park I have been to
Everyone: “a coaster for Worlds Of Fun is about time it’s been way too long”
Me: my home park being Valleyfair
I don't know why Dorney gets so shafted all the time. Dorney needs something new so badly.
Couldnt agree more
Wild Mouse seems like a good addition to CP. There's not a lot of family coasters there (and not a modern one other than the very short and mild Woodstock Express) so this is appreciated. I ride the one at Fun Spot Kissimmee over and over because it's so much fun; obviously, I won't be doing that at CP because capacity, and, of course, SteVe, Millie, TTD, Magnum, Maverick, you get the point. But I'm sure it'll be popular with families!
I think Cedar Fair making all these park improvements to some of their major parks is good to see. Even if you don’t get huge rides, seeing areas improve and be much more beautiful shows that Cedar Fair’a commitment to ensure that their parks look great. The new restaurant that Canada’s Wonderland got recently is just spectacular and looks great at where it’s placed in the park.
I do appreciate the upgrade in quality regarding the looks of the park. Rides are great, but if the rest of the park is just complete dogshit no amount of crazy rides will be worth going to the park. Case in point, six flags.
I agree Zambezi Zinger looks like a really great addition especially a unique thing a spiral lift hill on a GCI it looks to be a fun woodie too. CP announcement looks really good too yea even tho it’s not a major coaster I like how they are branching on family rides and the makeover with the Boardwalk in video and planning it looks nice we just gotta see how it looks in final product.
I thought Zambezi Zinger was full titan track.
The family launch coaster going to canadas wonderland is so pointless
The Zinger fills the need of another family ride for the park. Outside of timberwolf and the caterpillar ride in camp Snoopy there aren't any coasters for kids older than Snoopy but not yet big enough for the real coasters. It's a good nod to the locals and seems like it should be a good ride. It's true it's not what people were expecting or necessarily wanted, but that's life. I think we could see another coaster in the next few years as well. With the world cup coming in 2026 I think it's a good opportunity for Cedar Fair to really showcase the park and add it to the map as more than just a pass over. WoF is a great park. It has lots of room and shade and it's clean and well themed. If we had a few more coasters we could definitely start pulling business from competition. The only problem is it's a small park that's treated like a small park.
Spinning Dragons is also a solid family coaster
@@AirtimeThrills You're right. I forgot about that one. I'm not gonna say it's a bad ride. It's just that I haven't even tried to ride in the last half decade. The wait is an hour and a half at all times. They only ever run one car. The line is unprotected exposure to the sun the whole way. From what I remember it can be a fun ride or a boring one. Depends on the car they are using and how many people you have with you. For me it's not a good ride but a bad one that could be good if they fixed the issues. My kids don't even want to ride it anymore and they are the age it's designed for. If it's not worth it for kids, it's definitely not worth it for adults. Except for to get the credit, I say skip SD if your not an enthusiast. It's a one and done at best 95% of the time. Cheers. Love your channel.
Timberwolf is in bad shape.
I am really excited for a new roller coaster at cedar point!!!😮
I'm a big fan of the additions to Cedar Point, Knotts and World's of Fun. I would love to see Cedar Point next get a boardwalk style dark ride like Haunted Castle at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk to really continue the Boardwalk theme. Then I'm sure they'd soon thereafter get some over the top record breaking coaster 2 years later.
wof worst park??? ma, vf, and dp all clearly worse
Valleyfair definitely better than wof, dorney eh thats questionable but id still give its lineup the edge
Still waiting on a new coaster at dorney park 😔
I just want something new at Michigans adventure man
I'm considering doing a trip next year that includes Worlds of Fun, and Zambezi Zinger really makes that trip enticing.
Rank Six Flags additions. Oh wait…..
I was really hoping for Cedar Point trying to do a modern “Cyclone” for the boardwalk. I’ve got to think riding Wild Mouse next year is going to be a chore considering its limited capacity and the crowds a new ride will draw.
Yeah capacity on wild mice sucks so bad
Yeah, it's not what I'd have picked, but they might use virtual queues to keep the physical wait down. At least it's small enough to allow for a landscaped walkway by the beach, which the park has needed for decades.
As for a modern take on "Cyclone", I hope CP replaces CCMR with a GCI twister. Hopefully sooner rather than later so it can be a parts donor to Adventure Express.
Looking forward to Wonderlands new rides. That flat one looks totally nuts.
Worlds of Fun is a great park it has just been neglected for so long that it has gotten boring this gives people a reason to go back to the park for the first time in a long time. WOF also happens to be my home park
I'm happy for Worlds of Fun.
Video idea: every major roller coaster designers best & worst coasters. By designer I mean individual people. Ex. Alan Shilke, or Jeff Pike
disapointed that my home park, Kings island, never announced anything :(
They're probably gearing up for something major in the next 2 years. Maybe 3 max
Hello mr thrills, are you interested in State Farm insurance
Ima Michigander cedar point for me
Probly cedar point. I just got over my fear of coasters by riding raging bull and Goliath at sfga so I will finally be able to ride steel vengeance
More announcements are coming soon!
so the people doing the new worlds of fun ride also did invader.. oh i feel for the end result. invader is rough ( yea i said it. it's now known to me as one and done. ) so let's hope the new w o f coaster can be smooth for years to come.
I’m sure you’re already aware of this by now, but Kings Island is overhauling the Adventure Express plaza calling it “Adventure Port.” There are also 2 flat rides called Sol Spin and Cargo Loco. They’re also retheming Adventure Express
Great video! These are some good additions I think!
That was a great video!
I’m not much for the kind of coasters you love. Family coasters are my jam so I’m excited for Zambezi zinger. WOF is my home park and the only other coaster in it I will ride is spinning dragons. We’ll take any love Cedar Fair will give us and hopefully it will keep going. I wish they would bring back Winter Fest
all ima say.... PATHETIC WHAT really!!!!! this just is no i dont like
Dorney Park really is becoming Michigan’s Adventure east. CedarFair isn’t really putting anything into that place, not even theming upgrades.
Dorney still taking L’s. And fuck the pass I’m not spending money on dorney when I can drive to both Hershey and six flags just above an hour.
Spotted wild train in the background of the Canada’s wonderland sister coaster.
We at Valleyfair got monster trucks AND Grand Carnivale, so we obviously don’t need anything more /j
Wow! Those new Prestige+ passes are a joke. For $150 more than the Platinum Pass you get a whopping 5% extra discount. This pass option is completely worthless for anyone trying to hit up multiple Cedar Fair parks when all of the perks are limited to a home park and only barely useful for people who live between CP & KI.
Yeah seriously you have to pound your home park and not much else to make it worth it
I would love to see Worlds of Fun get a B&M Giga, and I would also wish for Cedar Fair to tear out Flight Deck and Time Warp and replace them with a Launched B&M Invert.
Launched B&M invert is ambitious
I'm still going to speculate that WoF will never get a giga until they tear down Mamba
@@beardedswordsman2901 W- Why would you think that? Mamba can coexist with a B&M Giga at the same park, so I have no clue what you’re talking about.
Worlds of Fun has room for expansion, so there really is no need to tear out Mamba. I think a Morgan Hyper and a B&M Giga being in the same park would look pretty cool.
Or are you saying Mamba would look puny compared to the B&M Giga?
@@AirtimeThrills really? I don’t think so. It’ll pretty much use the same launch system as Thunderbird at Holiday World (LSM) or Incredible Hulk at Islands of Adventure (Tire-Propelled). Plus it’ll be a nice tribute to Volcano.
Speaking of which, maybe Volcano’s replacement will be a Launched B&M Wing, similar to Thunderbird? Or perhaps a B&M Flyer as Cedar Fair hasn’t built one yet. Sure they have Nighthawk, but that’s a Vekoma Flying Dutchman.
@@VinceHere98 maybe less ambitious and more bold just since its never happened with b&m before
Hopefully in two years they can RMC Timberwolf. Just in time for the World Cup host
Worlds of fun's addition is finally the push for me to go visit that park, I actually do want to make the trip down to missouri and try Worlds Of Fun for the first time, I'll also try to do SF St Louis and Silver Dollar City
That's not fair. You can't do a great smaller park along side a world class park. There is no way it can shine simply because of how much more the one has over the other. Worlds of Fun is a great park. But if you follow it up with SDC there is no way for it to look good. All you'll remember is, "yea, it was a nice park. But SDC was Bonkers." Kinda like that episode of Parks and Rec where Ron and Chris have a cook off to keep burgers on the cafeteria menu.
@@PlagueKing_LordFalix What? I’m already down there and I’ve never been to either, plus doesn’t Worlds of Fun have more coasters than SDC? That’s really all I care about
@@PlagueKing_LordFalix Worlds of Fun is a good park. Beats the hell out of Six Flags here in DC where I live now. If they just added a launch coaster, it would be a top park I think. Comparable to Kings Dominion.
I should making my 1st to a Cedar fair park or six flags park next year cus im going to California to see two of my friends wich parks idk cus of the dumb stuff that is going on out that way wish me good luck
I’m looking forward to the Zambezi Zinger II, 2 or too?
California's Great Adventure closing down sucks ass. Like it was one of their better parks and it seems like such a waste
The only thing that crushes the hopes and desires of Minnesota residents as consistently as our (male) sports teams is Valleyfair! not getting a new extreme coaster again.
Buy or sell: green lantern(vipere) closes down for good in the next 5 years
My theory is that they are using the plans they had for great America at worlds of fun.
I’m exited for Zambezi but if I really had a choice I wish the RMC timber honestly. But i hope this new investment brings more investments into the park. This maybe be the turning point for WOF!
Well RMC and cedar fair had a falling out at one point so not sure if they are ready to work together again. I for one would have rather seen this as a RMC I feel like Titan track is just a copycat design, what's worse is they don't put it all over the track just at a few sections of the ride
This ridiculous 299 bucks and I can’t even go to every cedar fair park
