the way inertia tries to engage musicallity with his bass is killing him, he has a really deep bass but he's not utilizing this advantage at all, he should try to be more technical aside from more musical in my opinion, and if he does that he will be a fuckin beast
His breakdown and inward bass is one thing but his crowd control is where he really shines. King V Helium was his highlight. Hes fallen off ever since. I dont think he needs to be more technical, he needs to have more control over the hype and leadup to his drops.
Can someone explain to me why inertia didnt win ? (Respectfully) To me this time Inertia had better intotanation, structure, melody, sense of harmony, fullness of sounds, variations of timbres and I really had to mention that Alexiho's counter (which made a good vibe) didn't work at all in terms of INTONATION especially when the falsetto went in. That poly is just not in the chord progression completly out of pitch but respect to both artists im a fan of both, entire community.
In this type of tournament, the focus is much more on battles and counters than in regular competitions. The beatboxer who starts can counter their opponent’s previous round, just like Alexinho did against Napom when he repeated Napom’s round during his battle with Inertia. In this case, Inertia simply performed a routine without any battle moves, and Alexinho responded with his fart bass, followed by a rhythmic section that exploited Inertia's biggest weakness. That's why Alexinho won.
@@Vixcis64 Thanks for explaining this! I was legit confused because it seemed like Inertia had absolutely incredible musicality here, and I Alex's set seemed kinda messy and all over the place. But I haven't listened to a whole lot of these yet and I suppose I don't understand what they're judging on here.
Dude, sometimes I feel like Alex isn't always getting the recognition he deserves. It's pretty much him being "bullied" by 7 people and having no one to defend him or nothing to defend himself with. You guys have to understand that he sounds [relatively] weaker than the other 7 participants, yet somehow still finds a way to hit back even harder than some of them, It's like Jackie Chan fighting against 20 people by himself and some of them with assault weapons and even despite being injured in every way possible he still manages to beat them all. And he hasn't even battled Mighty yet! In my mind I ask myself what would happen if they both battled and whether Alex would keep up with Mighty's intesity, always making me think "How the fxck is he going to counter these people?" all the time. Combine that with his charisma and his [sometimes] unpredictable sense of style. So GG to Alexinho for taking the win (for the 4th time) and can't wait to see what he'll do the GBB now that he's fully motivated!
I find it interesting that this is getting more traction than haten and these battles don't even come close to as hype. No disrespect to Alex always been really tight as a beatboxer.
technically he won GBB with alem (uniteam) in 2021, but if you mean solo, i think it'll be his time if he takes it seriously instead of trolling/relying on counters like he did in his last entry
@@dlim13 Yes I meant the solo category. And isn't the whole point of a battle to counter your opponent lol? A lot of the judging in the previous few years has been very biased and many people have "won" battles when they really shouldn't have. But I suppose it's all subjective. Imo Napom was by far the best in the solo category at gbb23 but obviously the judges didn't think so, after river threatened to never perform at gbb again. Strange that he then won the whole thing 😅
