bro the comments are the reason why beatboxing will always be so hard to be successful with as a musician. Y'all think cause alem did a whole bunch of different stuff the consistent high quality stuff inertia did is cancelled out because "once you hear one inertia beat you've heard it all."
imagine saying something so pompous about other forms of music, "once you've heard one nirvana song you've heard it all," you guys don't understand that inertia still did different patterns/styles all while keeping up what makes his style so dope. You're the same people who talked crap on codfish even though codfish is one of the best sounding beatboxers on earth. OH NO! he does something similar sometimes! that must mean hes NOT GOOD!
Get a grip, hope you sit there and practice a bunch to realize noone cares about all the crazy stuff you can do and the biggest thing that matters is a dope sound/style that is leagues above everyone else. something 95% of the people who want to be a beatboxer will never be able to scathe. The beatbox community thinks people are DJ's who can do 100 different things at once with high quality sounds constantly and if they aren't doing that they must not be good.

When Alem is in the stage , it really feels like a battle. He was once in a lifetime talent. His technicality was and still is like none other.

I feel like he's more happy that he's finally fighting Alem after all this time and Alem is literally going all out, a former world champion.
I remember Alem saying in a pre-battle interview for this that he likes to "freestyle" a lot in his rounds and go in full raw while keepin that Battle energy and i know how it can be useful but it worked against Alem as his structuring was off here which imo made him lose the battle
Also, special mentions for all the interesting things alem did in his 1st round, calling the "king" in inertia's name in the beginning then at 2:05 he kneeled down, like how ppl kneel to a King
2:12 This is the revolution, this term is used when the people overthrow a government, here Alem is overthrowing the King and then in the drop he is also saying Inertia with the lip bass
Inertia's major issue here was that he used all of his crazy bass variations, which helped him win the battle as the drops were otherworldly however it would definitely cause a problem in the next battles as there will be no surprise element left there anymore
Neverthless, it was a phenomenal battle, a clash of contrast styles, tech vs bass, judging battles like this is really tough
really great detail. King Inertia's second round did not hit hard for me, just like his second round against Helium, but I still think he beat Alem in terms of structure. Also, his first round slapped me in the face so fucking hard, I think this was one of the only moments where I truly enjoyed his high pitched inward.

That speed of Alem, I see where he was challenging him at. He’s insane I love it. I can’t help it those drops just hit right and a talent in its self. I can watch these for hours and I love seeing them on Apple Music so I can listen or my playlist too. Man all talent all the way.

I'm a sucker for heavy bass beats which is why I could listen to Inertia all day... but when it comes to battles, I feel like once you've heard one Inertia routine, you've heard them all. Which is why I thought Helium deserved the w, he showed that he can do Inertia's one weapon and then some. But either way, big ups to both Alem and Inertia for an insane battle
I felt the same about Helium (Although I'm not upset Inertia won), and I came into this battle thinking Alem would win.
However, I thought for sure Inertia won this one. And yeah, it gets repetitive but he knows which routines he can use to win.
I agree alot on this. I would love to see Helium progress into the next rounds of GBB as he did perfect counter and versatility. But it is what it is. It might've been a different opinion live. Alem vs Helium would be such a big battle to see, but for another time ✌️🎤

If Helium had the battle vs intertia in the quarter final he might had won but in Helium vs intertia, intertias vibration bass and this high pitched bass was new so everyone was blown away
Alem's first round is what let him down in my opinion, he had 10 tons of energy but the structure was a bit fucked ngl 😂 .. his second round tho was amazing it also brings nostalgia because he used that 7/8 routine against skiller in world champs 2012 and had everything that you need in a battle round. ggs to both beatboxers tho massive respect

For those who say Inertia does the same every time: So does Alem. It's their style. Alem is a expert when it comes to speed and absurd btk patterns. Inertia is an expert when it comes to singing and basses, especially inward bass.

No, Tech is more varied than bass. You can do tech with anything and make it sound different but Inertia's routines all sound similar. They're both world-class beatboxers.

I see that inertia can do many things (like actually a lot of things) but all of his routines are bass bass bass. If he evolves his other skills he can add more variety and end up surprising everyone even more and who knows... be the champ one day

I have to say, Alems rounds were a bit less impressive when being in the crowd. For me. Maybe because the sound system was way to loud... Still think Inertia was too monotone at this point. One simple tech part in between and it would have been a clear win. Diversity is what I am thinking about

In my opinion, both of Alem’s rounds were both very technical but also pretty powerful, but there were a few mistakes here and there.
Inertia has bass power and control, but in his first round it pretty much sounded like all his other stuff.
I was pretty much gonna give this to Alem; until Inertia unleashed his High Middle Low routine.
Say what you want about Alem and all that, but if Inertia pulls that routine on you, it’s game over, period.
02:16 this is his most powerful sound 🏆 not to take away from the fact that he is a professional.

you want to party with Alem but you want to listen to Inertia. All that extremely rapid snares are impressive, but it doesn't move you, you don't feel a beat. I think inward bass always moves the crowd making them on your side
