- Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) is a Layer 2 protocol that runs on bridges and switches. The specification for STP is IEEE 802.1D. The main purpose of STP is to ensure that you do not create loops when you have redundant paths in your network.

can RSTP be used for redundancy instead of ether channel, as both can provide reduandancy??
if we PORTFAAST TRUNK on logical interfaces ? will it create loop on two switches?
Where is the load balance section?

EtherChannel bundles can consist of up to eight physical ports of the same Ethernet

same speed.. do u mean 2mb + 4mb not work.. ???
faizan khtri No both links either 2mb or 4mb.
Learn guidelines to Create etherchannel if u dont know.
+faizan khtri speed should be same
faizan khtri
No it will not work, in etherchannel, links speed on both sides should be the same, as well as duplex settings should be same.
Nice
