Even though your review was somewhat negative, it still made me curious because of the subject matter, so I think I'm gonna give it a watch. Thank you for talking about it and all your reviews. Channels like these, talking about movies, are just awesome :)

It’s too bad it’s not well made though :/ it’s a much needed documentary for sure. My wife thinks they’re like Dragnet except when “The bad apples” do something terrible. I hope they interview the writer of “The End of Policing”.

The film is one sided political propaganda, presented as a “documentary”. No, policing did not “originate as slave patrols”. Continuing to repeat that lie doesn’t magically make it true. Policing didn’t even originate in the US. Modern policing goes back to Paris France in 1666 when the first police force was established by King Louis. While it is true that Boston Police was the first professional police force in the US, it was modeled after London Police in the UK, which was already in existence. The film tried to paint law enforcement as a concept made in the USA and its racist history.
It is true that there are problems in law enforcement. Nobody should deny that, but spreading doesn’t do anyone any good. No matter how noble your cause is.
