  • Pumping up a paddleboard manually is hard work!
I watched a few videos where people had an adaptor for a compressor and were pumping up their boards really easily. So I bought one. Here I'm putting it to the test to show exactly how much quicker it is..........
The recommendation on the packaging is not to do it this way.
The recommended way is shown in video 3

Thanks for the video! Tried to figure out why 12v tire pump makes it forever, even thought that it wasn’t pumping at all 😂 Turns out, it is just the way it is.

Hi Toms, yup it’s all about pressure vs volume, with an average small tyre inflator you get quite a bit of pressure but not much volume or flow. With something like an air mattress inflator you get a fair bit of volume but damn all pressure. With a paddleboard (particularly something like a Red Paddle we want both 🙄

Thanks bought the same for my tyre pump was useless 🤣. What were the bars you slid into the side of the paddle board for?

Hi Alec, yeah I’m a confirmed OutdoorMaster Shark user now, everything else was a non event. The bars are specific to Red Paddle Co boards, they call them RSS battens (Rocker Stiffening System) and they are meant to make the board more like a composite board. In all honesty at my skill level I couldn’t tell you whether they’re an advantage or not (maybe I should do a with and without video…) But I do like most of the Red Paddle Co gear with the possible exception of the tyre pump adaptor 😂
