I was a pretty hardstuck plat/diamond Tank main in OW1, trying to transition to playing Tank and DPS on Echo in OW2 and want to get a lot better. I watched your Pathing guide for OW1 recently, and it really changed by perspective on compositions and strategy. Content is fantastic and you deserve more subs! (and most importantly, great music taste on the vids!)
Indeed, first mythic skin should have been an easy to play hero, not the hardest one, so new players actually want that battle pass. But then again, blizzard is not known for being smart at this department....

another tip based on the gameplay is mastering the 180 headshot flick. I see in alot of clips you dashing in and instantly 180 right click on the enemy head, I feel like this in combination with jumping before a dash to dash more accurately are great tips, at least those are what I picked up in the video. Very well done.
in game going for such risky and precise plays is definitely not ideal, although the height elevation for precise dashes is almost always useful. Practicing those is very fun though, so that's why I will often go for them in custom games =)

I used to play overwatch when i was slightly younger, although i didn't play it often Genji had caught my eye and i remember being very fond of his play style, even as a beginner
@@cosmic8558 you can try to beat her in the air, which usually requires use of highground positions to setup and be close before having to use dash. The best way imo is to simply ignore her as a team and rush the people on the ground, taking a quick 5v4 or even 5v3 if she has a mercy pocket, winning that and then either hiding or dealing with the threat in the air as a team with a numbers advantage

genji isn't great at supporting his team defensively. He can do so by helping eliminate agressive enemies, but that's most of what he can do. As far as your other question goes, diving for a pick is good if you don't need to save dash to match a movement ability, someone is isolated or low, etc.

It depends on where your target is. If you dash through your target, landing the followup damage after the dash requires a 180 flick, while a dash at their feet needs a small upward flick ;)

Wish I could play like this as some common scrub, find myself just getting deleted and struggling in duels against heroes that don't have any form of restore or control
you can still do the same thing! If you take an off angle and they don't contest you, you will eventually get someone low to finish off or make them run out of resources. If they check you with someone you can't duel or with more than 1 player, you are happy to kite them! If you can duel them, you are happy with that too! it's a win-win-win scenario, unless the enemy team rushes your team trying to take a quick 5v4, in which case you have to be fast to hit them from the back, aiming for at least 1 pick in case your team ust falls apart since that will give your team an advantage on the upcoming fight due to your stagger pick (granted you live with your dash reset)
now that tanks got super buffed to work in a single tank environment, I don't think deflecting to help your tanks does much tbh, but I do agree it is a really important skill to master =)

I can't use dragon blade for the life of me, no matter what happens, if I use it the enemy team will cast some ult that cancels mine, like zens iris, or lucios beat... Idk how to get around this

@@Rinku_Makino_TS reaper is one of the few characters that can go toe to toe with tanks, and he is also a very strong flanker if you are really good at pathing. I'm not a reaper expert, but one thing that I see high level reapers often doing is taking a long time to setup walking around the map with teleport, and after the enemy is too close to dodge him or they forget about him he pounces on the opportunity and wreaks havoc.

I'm confused how does triple headshot plus melee deal 204? I thought it did 198 since 28 x 3 = 84 x 2 = 168 + 30 = 198? Am I missing a change or something?

I made this guide with both PC and console in mind. In general, I tend to focus heavily on playing smart, seeing mechanical skill as a tool: it doesn't matter how good it may be if the user can't use it, but a smart person can use average tools for more than just average jobs ;)
He should be pretty quick to unlock since he is the 1st hero you get, idk what you need to do to unlock him but you should be able to check if you go to the "challenges" tab and swap over to the "hero" section ;)

Genji's primary fire is weird since it often comes down to prediction, not skill. Not only that, it's a projectile burst, so you want to track during the whole animation, but ahead of time. I used some OW1 footage to make the video alongside OW2 beta footage. Interestingly, it seems as if "on fire" voicelines still exist, but the system is hidden now, although it could be that some heroes just have some voicelines that would make you think the system still exists when it doesn't, I'm not too sure here.

If you are new, playing the game a bit should unlock him pretty fast, if you played OW1 and don't have him that is a bug that happened to me and I fixed by closing and reopening the game

Best way I can put it is that it's dampened in such a way that it sounds like you're speaking from the other side of a room. You can pick up decent audio stuff, namely a set of balanced headphones and a USB mic that you could use for editing and vids, for around the same price as a good gaming headset. Since head set mics are always shit lol. Especially the bluetooth ones. Bit of exaggeration but you get the point.

Toronto Defiant (Overwatch League skin). You can get it by going to "shop", then selecting "Overwatch League" and scrolling down until you find "Toronto Defiant". You need 150 OWL tokens to buy it, and you can either purchase them with money or get them for free by watching Overwatch League streams live. I'm new to this game, and I want to main Genji. But I play on controller, I don't know how I'm going achieve the mobility required to become a cracked Genji main while using controller.
don't worry, playing on a controller will not prevent you from becoming as good as you desire =)

I simply can’t hit any shots with Genji’s primary fire, I don’t know why, but anything with a burst I just can’t hit
Genji's primary fire is weird since it often comes down to prediction, not skill. Not only that, it's a projectile burst, so you want to track during the whole animation, but ahead of time.

so what exactly am I talking about? I don't think genji has any hero specific settings that should be changed, keybinds are personal preference so unless I'm missing something I don't exactly see the point

I used some OW1 footage to make the video alongside OW2 beta footage. Interestingly, it seems as if "on fire" voicelines still exist, but the system is hidden now, although it could be that some heroes just have some voicelines that would make you think the system still exists when it doesn't, I'm not too sure here.

what sens in the mouse and in the game do you use for genji? is different from other heroes

I cant unlock genji
If you are new, playing the game a bit should unlock him pretty fast, if you played OW1 and don't have him that is a bug that happened to me and I fixed by closing and reopening the game

But yeah, nah wasn't meant to be disrespectful, was meant more as a throwaway line that I doubted would've been read, as I assumed it would've been lost in abyss that is the RUclips comments section. And tbh I was kinda "chilled out" (for lack of a better term) when watching the vid so half my fault lol.
Going back to listen to the vid though I can say yeah, audio is a bit off. Best way I can put it is that it's dampened in such a way that it sounds like you're speaking from the other side of a room.
You can pick up decent audio stuff, namely a set of balanced headphones and a USB mic that you could use for editing and vids, for around the same price as a good gaming headset. Since head set mics are always shit lol. Especially the bluetooth ones. Bit of exaggeration but you get the point.
