An important tip I’ll say is to be patient with the blade, especially the dashes. The worst thing you can do is be left stranded hitting the air with nowhere to go
100% my man should’ve said that in the video be patience but don’t hold on to blade, you’ll never have the perfect blade
i never knew thats why genji's dash up in the air. I always just thought it was for ana to nano and to make your opponents look up. but it makes so much more sense now.

best guide out there. not ther typical dash up and wait for nano or headshot dash combo but also animation cancel and analisation plus explanation. views well deserved

when using blade just to let yall know that even getting 2 priority kills such as their support will still benefit your team a lot even tho getting a multikill is better :)

When I'm struggling to get value whether it's against hard counters or just in general focusing on who your other dps is shooting at is a good tip for any dps but especially helps me with genji because you can afford to play that little bit more aggressively

Yo nice vids it’s honestly crazy how much more aggressive and how many more kills you can get with the combo I’m lower ranks where genji isn’t terrible you can really pop off

As a tracer player, the hardest part for me is being aim-locked while dashing, im used to just being able to turn mid blink haha

Poor Genji man. Sojourn gets to run the meta for 3 seasons straight with only a hitbox nerf but Genji was meta for 2 weeks in season 1 after getting the first mythical skin in ow2, and is immediately nerfed directly after they took the DPS passive away which in itself is what made Genji strong, not his own kit. My man's not been buffed since July 2020 man they massacred my boy and are even talking about nerfing blade next season to buff his neutral game?
This was a great guide though and reminded me of what great fun Genji can be to play, but the community hates him as much as they hated doomfist, so he gets the short end of the stick...
The slash dash takes the same amount of time as just slashing twice. It does cancel the animation tho so it’s still good to use against a tank but there’s no real advantage if you’re not nano’d

I was looking for good genji tips video for my friend and i found this one rly good but theres one wrong thing: slash dash slash has the same time to kill as slash x2. Waisting this one dash allow enemy to run away especialy with current high mobility meta ex. Lucio speed, kiriko tp, sojourn slide, ashe coach gun etc.
Slash dash slash should be only used on bit more tanky supps and dps heroes (except bastion and torb w his overload)
Still i think this is one of the best begginer genji guide on yt good work 🙏
Uhh slash dash slash is definitely faster… just dont use the dash on high mobility characters
@@yoo912 one swing is 0.224sec and recovery is 0.568sec so slash x2 takes 1.016sec. So to kill by s+d+s u need to dash and do fast 180 in less than half sec. Ofc its possible to do but not for average bronze-gold genji (target of this vid i think). Watch some pro genjis and i swear on god nobody use this cringe combo on 200hp target. Overall this +-100ms faster kill is not worth ur dash.
+ If u will fuck up the dash (ur target can move lol) or lets say sigma will try to rock you mid fight u dont have your most important cd.

I think you are wrong when you say you kill faster with a slash dash slash without nano. It's the same amount of time to kill with just 2 slashes no dash I'm pretty sure. Nice video though

I came to the conclusion genji is unplayable on console can't hit anything in the training arena with all that aim assist and genji's damage is actually pathetic I do more damage with mercy's pistol

@@Sinister77777 they got to plat and diamond with their own skills. This guide is basic mechanical skills. The kind of stuff you learn in the first 10 hours of genji and escape bronze. Getting to plat and diamond requires a bit of game sense, of which this video instructs nothing about.

Imagine maining genji .....cringe...
Genji needs skill. Uses ult on 2 robots that are standing like 3 footsteps far from each other and manage to hit tham both. I don't know what I despise more his "skilled ult" his deflect or reset with free mobility, and you know what it's OK that he is still ranged with double jump climb. Thanks god it don't have stuns or heals by himself. But if he would have i wont be surprised. I love when some characters in video games get like 3 kits in one and are really competed by character that barely moves and has ultimate that you actualy need set up to use at all. He is a ninja and all but it's way too oppressive and if blizzards would deleted that character I would celebrate it. Or rework characters that are slow, because it's looks like it's intended by creates of the game make one predator warrior character and others just bugs with few slow farts. If it's chaos gaming than all should have access to it in other case don't call it skill when dogs like genji kills Zhen or Ana with big chances of fight back xD

Are you dumb? Genji is countered by more than half the roster of characters in the game. The whole point of dps was designed to be able to kill supports and dps. Go try play genji if you think he’s busted. His ult alone can be out healed by every healer when he’s not being supported. This has to be one of the dumbest comments I’ve seen in a while about genji. Can he be annoying? Yeah ofc. Any character that’s hard to hit is annoying but to say he requires no skill? You’re either extremely low rank or a hitscan player or both..
genji is the andrew tate of overwatch. he is perfectly fine, but idiots always complain with no actual arguments.
