    This is BY FAR the best V-ray Sun & HDRI setup tutorial I've seen so far... And I've seen plenty of them... Thank you so much for sharing, I really appreciate it!

    I've been doing this manually for years and this is an amazing technique. You can save a separate file with these inputs and merge them every time on a new project. Thanks!

      Thank you! Actually you can use this kind of a setup as a startup screen for any of your projects.

    Complex manipulations. You just need to combine the sun's target with the camera. And the camera's target is with the sun. Highlight the camera's target and the sun and raise it to the sun on the map.

    Hello, I'm practicing HDRI recently, and in other videos, it looks strange because the automatic translation is wrong when I turn it on with a human voice, but this video has a machine-like voice.
    If you turn on automatic translation, automatic translation works well, so it's easy to watch. Please understand the awkwardness because I translated the language by Google Translator because I can't speak English. I will subscribe to this video and study it as a reference. :)

      @@aryacadbim5789 one more thing.horizontal rotation is clear of the hdri sun.in my hdri map the hdri sun is at the top of head i need to vertically rotate to take the sun down so that sun rays can cross through the window with different angle .could you please guide me to do that??

    • @aryacadbim5789
      @aryacadbim5789  3 года назад

      @@kubelhossain4211 You should not change the vertical rotation, it will create problems with your hdri environment. Try to use a different map with the sun located not at the top of the hemisphere. Think about your shadows also. If your sun is at the top, what will your shadows be like?

    I may be missing something but do not understand why make enviroment map (via key 8) and dome light with the same map. They duplicate each other. For linking only?

    • @aryacadbim5789
      @aryacadbim5789  2 года назад

      Environment map to see the hdri map in the scene; dome light to use the same hdri map as the light source. Not for linking.

    Grazie mille, Tutorial utilissimo!
    Ho pero' un problema, la HDRI non la vedo nella Viewport, ovvero nella scena si vede lo sfondo completamente nero e non la mappa HDRI.
    Ho fatto tutti i passaggi come nel video, ma niente....non si vede.
    Puo' dipendere dal tipo di mappa HDRI?
    Oppure e' qualche impostazione creata da Autodesk per complicare la vita agli esseri umani?
    Qualcuno ha lo stesso problema ma lo ha risolto?
    Potete postare la soluzione, ve sarei eternamente grato!
    Grazie!

      Sono contento che ti piaccia! Sì, potrebbe dipendere dal tuo hdri. Probabilmente stai utilizzando un file di grandi dimensioni e il tuo computer non è in grado di gestirlo. Prova a usare un hdri più piccolo.

    So complex and unnecessary... There is a "Lock texture to icon" checkbox in Vray light parameters, and just use a high quality HDRI like these in Chaos Cosmos Library. Usually in architectural renderings you need to adjust sun position angle, because drop shadows matters.
