I was in Istanbul for my third time within two years of my first visit. My first time in Turkey was November 2021 with a group of tourists. My second time was March 2023, me and my daughter solo for 10 days. My third time was in October until the beginning of November for over 21 days, solo.
I love Turkey! I visited Cappadocia the other two times. This time, I stayed in Istanbul on Asia side, Kadiköy. I visited the Europe side as well. I did all the public transportations from taxi to boats. I even visited the Prince Islands and Black Sea.
People think Turkey is in the Middle East, unfortunately. Lots of people don't want to visit because of this.
I love Turkey ❤ For Turkish desserts I recommend these: *Baklava *Lokum/Turkish Delights *Güllaç (One of my favorites) *Sütlaç (My favorite) *Keşkül *Süt Helvasi(Milk Halva) *Kazandibi *Mullallebi(Turkish Milk Pudding) *Ice Cream(Kahramanmaraş) *Halva
Don't forget to try the Pomenagranate tea, Rose tea, and Turkish Love tea 🫖
Turkish beers and wines 🍷
The meals with fish are not expensive compared to the US. Even lamb chops are cheaper.
