Well done Steve, that's a very worthwhile project to get involved with. Let's hope it gets a lot of views and a lot of folk start to think what they could do to help our planet.
Hi Ed, how lovely to hear from you. Yes that's our main goal, to make others think about doing something similar. We only have 17 acres that we can restore / rewild, which won't save the world, but if we can have any influence on others that would be great. Thousands of individuals rewilding a small piece of their gardens or one landowner rewilding thousands of acres will start to make a difference because they will in turn influence others. An acorn turning into a tree of course. But we're not the first. We have been inspired by bamff.land/ & knepp.co.uk/ which are both worth taking a look at. Thanks for commenting. It really does help. If you're ever on the A9 drop in for a brew & a blether. It'd be great to see you.
Hi Duncan. Didn't realise so thanks for the tip. I actually like Miles Goodman's idea of collecting local seeds so if we did anymore planting it might be cultivating our own, although given the deer are now out there is also a bit of me that wants to sit back and watch what happens without tinkering too much. It's a journey! Cheers.
Really enjoyed watching this Steve! Look forward to seeing the hedge thrive. Great work! 👍

Shame you used Alba. Not very rewilding friendly (anymore) . Use Cheviot Trees or Christie Elite or my fav Proven Plants next time
