Good for you Becky! When I do this (rarely I must admit), I sort items by SKU on the computer and compare with the physical inventory. That way I also pick up any that are listed but not actually in the bin. Sometimes I download the inventory to a CSV file and print out only the SKU and item title so I can check each on off on paper. So searching required.

This is such a daunting task but you are having a better start than me. 😊😊I started going through mine a couple months ago and I'm still working on it in spurts. The first day, I tackled my really old inventory that wasn't even in numbered bags/bins. I found 30 items that weren't listed and 24 of them were still worth listing. I was so annoyed with myself but was happy for the "free" inventory.
Now that I'm going through my actual numbered items I'm finding less but it's still not perfect.
Now I have a nearly perfect system for making sure items are listed if I go through the trouble of photographing. It involves moving photos to different folders on my phone to keep it organized at each stage of the process. I don't remove photos until it is listed.
Great video and great reminder to always keep checking.

Sitting here listening to this episode on a loop as I sort moving boxes by size and pack for our future move. Loved seeing how you are doing inventory for future needs. Thanks!

I'm going through a similar process right now (working on a video, too) except I'll also be downsizing my inventory a LOT. It's daunting but so worth it! Thanks for documenting it, Becky! Hope you and the fam are doing well :)

I NEED to do this!! Doesn’t happen often at all but I had to cancel an order because it was listed but no sku and wasn’t in the bins!

Tricot is "knit" in French. Here in the US, the material/fashion world pronounces it tree-ko.

Hi Becky, wow big job, good job. I hope you get through it all.
I recently found 2 things listed I no longer had! Ouch. They were sold on ebay but somehow ended back up in my active listings and I ended up re-selling one which I had to cancel. I heard of this software defect bug..first time it bit ME though. I heard it was from year ago too and these listings were that old so its possible it happened all that time ago too.
Anyway, I just went through my scrub pants...I only had 8 of them listed and 1 was not listed still. So there you go. That's pretty scary that 1 out of 8 is not listed? Hmmm. I have done it periodically before. I am too busy now to do it. I have a major life deadline I have to meet...after that then will take a box or bin at a time and do one each day (that was my original plan). I have to create a calendar to do it I think. I would just put on some you tube videos and work away. I would make a goal of just 1 bin or box per day until all is done. I have about 40 boxes bins, so 1 per day ..5 weeks? Yes I do crosslist / cross post. I use ...flyp. I had to remember the name. Its pretty good but often I have to physically delist myself as that part not perfect. I should let them know. Good luck getting it all inventoried! PS. I heard that "cold shoulder" is not in anymore. Have you? I have one item left with that and its a gorgeous embroidered sweater, plus size. I still have it for sale, I should have lowered the price long ago. Now maybe too late. Anyway, always good to watch your videos.

Lol, how often I DO this or how often I PLAN to do this and then just don’t? 😅 I would love to say you inspired me to get in there and get busy but you just made me tired, lol!

When I do inventory, I go ahead and relist everything as soon as I verify it's there. Just because List Perfect says it's listed doesn't mean I didn't delete it on my own. 😅

I try to do this once a year, especially since eBay has a tendency to "drop" listings randomly.

Hey there! Loved the video, thank you! I noticed when you listed an eBay, you did not put stock photo as the first photo. I just started cross listing to eBay, and wondering if they search inside of your listing for stock photos?? Or if it’s just the cover photo. I have not been using stock photos at all, but I would love to even inside of the listing. Let me know your thoughts! Thank you!

Great tips Becky! How do you handle if an item listed at two platforms get sold at the same time? I only sell at Poshmark; can you cancel an item just sold for any reason? Thanks!

I would also suggest actually checking that the item is still listed on eBay esp... when I did an inventory check I had multiple listings showing they were "listed" in List Perfectly but had actually fallen off of eBay and were NOT listed on the actual platform anymore!

it might be better to consolidate bins so as to remove empty spaces / free up a bin, rather than re-use a SKU thats been sold. that way your SKUs are in order of date of item listed. and just need to change the first SKU id on the box when it changes. Your most recently listed items will all be in the box with the highest SKU number.

When I did my inventory I recorded myself item by item saying the number and what it was, and went back later when I was in front of my computer and watched it back and numbered everything, It went really quickly that way

You can’t select in List perfectly the SKU number, for example from 1-25, this way you would take each bin and see if it’s there and if it’s listed. Does it make sense what I’m saying?❤

Becky I signed up for List Perfectly with your code and I'm having an awful time. I can't find any way to contact them either. I cannot get the app to work on my Chromebook or phone. only on my 20 year old laptop which I don't want to use. Advice?

I’m not Becky (obviously, lol) but I had a hard time at first, too. Their chat bot helped me figure out my issue so it may help you. It might help to download the google app since it’s a Google extension and see if that helps solve your issue. :)
