I love these Logic Piano Rolls showing off your actual scores. Being a composer that uses Logic myself, (should I say Im a hack composer. LOL ) I can very much appreciate the amount of work you put into your absolutely beautiful music scores.
I do not understand these piano-rolls at all. What is the significance of the various colors? They do not seem to be consistently associated with individual instruments.
To create the mockup, a few hours if you're on a creative roll. To record it, half an hour or less with good musicians. I wish I knew more about John's process though, he might have assistants for the mockups to make it even faster.
@@DaveDexterMusic he writes the melodies and rhythms, a few of his assistents will make an orchestrations which he will collab with to his like. Then a mockup will be made and sheetmusic. Most of his ideas John writes on piano. You can hear that through his simple but catchy motives.
