I think Jokic is the best in the NBA but unless Jokic just decides he wants to care for the extra media stuff that comes with basketball than it is hard for me to see him becoming the face of the NBA. I can see him becoming the face if he wins championship after the championship, and the media and endorsements force Jokic to do it.
Anthony Edwards naturally gravitates towards the face of the NBA like moments and is already in advertisments, endorsements, and a movie. I can see the media deciding to move towards Edwards because he is available to the media, desires to be a superstar, always shows competitiveness, has a loud personality, and is great at the game.
Also, Jokic is NOT athletic. Nobody watch basketball only for foot work and cute passes. Jokic only settle to that role because of his physical limitations.
Jokic is easily the best player in the world. That said the face of nba would gravitate toward Edwards more he has that Jordan-esque feel.
If not only for injuries Giannis and Jokic would be Magic and Bird of this new era. Face of the NBA doesn't necessarily be a 1 single person. Rivalries is more entertaining

I agree on Mad Dog for one of his points in his take: Jokic is a goofball of a personality, and trust me to attract the large GenZ viewers, u have to be a goofball nowadays, someone who is naturally funny off the court as well. Both Antman and Jokic are goofballs technically, but edwards is more of a traditional American goofball, Jokic is funny by his weird and unique motions and actions. Jokic flailing his arms while shooting is some of the funniest shot forms i witnessed of recent NBA players. Jokic gets the crown for me. Plus Denver I expect to beat Minnesota in this series, so furthermore proves my choice.

Joker will never be the face of NBA. Even some people think Jamal Murray is better than him. You have to be an expert to appracate Joker. First, Joker is not a selfish player. He does not really care about scoring. He makes sure others are involved in the game. It is good and bad. The reason that it is good is they win games. The reason it is bad is fans do not see why he is great, which Joker's least concer. He passes the ball the first three quarters and in fourth takes over the game. Joker is ungardable.
