I feel incredibly lucky and honored to have watched this show live at Grand Nationals. Sophie was definitely the most memorable of all during the ballad, and it still hurts to think she is no longer here.
I know people who've competed at Grand Nats. Last year I came across your story and learned about Sophie. Her voice soars, even now. She will always be remembered. God bless you all.
I know I’m a little late, but this show takes on entirely new meaning now. I think about this band every marching season, I can’t imagine how much you all have endured. I hope I get the chance to watch you all in person someday.
Im not apart of this community or band or even boa for that matter yet i heard this song on Instagram one day back in 2019 and learned of Sophie's story. I come back to this video and others of the performance and my heart breaks every time. The passion Sophie exhibited is inspiring and it was such a beautiful performance I wish she was still with us. God bless her and may she rest in piece.
This is a powerful show! This is truly top notch! Sophie has such a great singing voice. So sad that she's not with us. In our 2018 show, Gravity was our 4th movement, and I would always think about Sophie and this band during that movement. I'm from the Oakmont-Overlook Marching Spartans(Ashburnham, MA)if you want to check us out. 2018 show was titled "Evolve".
First time watching this, and wow I get the chills. I heard the story about Sophie, and I can just tell how amazing of a person she was. God bless her and her family as we look up into the skies, thank you for sharing this video!
Why is 3/4 of Castle's show music straight out of either Carolina Crown's or Cadet's 2016 shows? This band performs quite well...just a little unoriginal (not the kid's choice of course).
Blue's Clues for Fools I have no idea. I just pay attention to my kids band. I'm sure just about every band song or formation you can say that exact same thing about.
Blue's Clues for Fools just so you know directors pick music like in January and dci starts like in June so there's no way they would've known it was from these 2016 shows
Alejandro Torres just so you know the arranger for Castle is the same as Carolina Crown, so they did in fact know what Crown was doing in January (you can tell the arrangements are somewhat similar in those areas). Nonetheless, Castle was very different from either of the corps shows, and this was one of the most memorable marching band shows in recent years in my opinion. Just amazing.

Sophie will be missed. :'(
Coming back to watch this today because I literally can’t hear a band play Gravity without comparing it to this show. God rest her soul

#SingForSophie This show has impacted me more than any other show I've watched.

That second movement was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard in a band show
Thanks! :)
