😮😮. WOW. Shocker!! AND pretty good keeping such a secret. Congratulations for another adventure cus that is what moving to new area is all about. When kids as old as your kids are it’s hard to give up neighborhood and friends they use to. We did same thing and kept them in same schools but it was never the same. As adults they always refer to that house as the forever home tho we were renting too. We did buy what is our forever home few years later but kids were too old and have said it’s ours and not their home of memories. But we did what we thought best and now build memories with grandkids and entire family. Hope you do find your forever home cus I know the best thing we did was buy our own. And now it’s paid for 👍👍👍. Hooray!! Wherever you settle it will always be your FAMILY home and a lot of memories. Excited for you tho not envy the packing. Label label by room makes it easier to settle in faster. Sounds like you’ll have that yard of dreams. Often wondered why you never improved this one......very sneaky. Hey a large pantry is worth the move 😅😂🤣. Can’t wait for a tour. Congrats guys. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I keep a journal of my packing. I label the box with a number and on paper I write down everything that's in that box. I assign a string of numbers to different rooms. Like 1-50 is living room, 51-100 is bedroom. I give the kitchen 101 - 200.It sounds tedious, but trust me, it's wonderful when you do move, and need something. We have moved long distances and it makes a big difference when you can track something down on paper, then find that numbered box.
Color code your boxes by room. Pack a bag/box to unpack first (necessities) Keep clothing on hangers to pack and strip garbage bags over them and hold/tie together with the drawstrings (easy to unpack when you arrive)
So happy for your family. Not surprised though as you were decorating and fixing it up. You have to do what is right for yourselves. So important you included the kids. As long as you are together, a home can be anywhere. We moved 2 years ago and it wasn't as big as yours. Will never do it again. I wish you good luck and many prayers that everything goes as smoothly as possible. God Bless!
IKEA has all of their assembly instructions online, so for Emberylnn’s bed you can look at those if you forget how to put it back together! I’ve seen others post this, but leaving clothes on hangers and putting them in a garbage bag helps a lot! Another tip I learned from moving is if you have something like a utensil tray, just put press and seal over it so you don’t have to worry about where to put all the utensils and it’ll be ready to go when you get to the new place!
My moving tip is to have a first night/morning box. Bedding, kitchen stuff, cleaning products, breakfast, anything that will make life easier at that time.
That is awesome congratulations . I know how hard it is to move I move from Michigan after living there for 42 years. Now in Nebraska but it is the best move I have ever made . I am glad your kids are able to stay in the same school system. I wish you all the best in your new journey. And like I said again congratulations.
Bubble wrap for you glass stuff so you can see what in it before opening it, you can use towels and sheets and stuff to use as stuffing from keep things in place!
We just moved to AZ a year ago from IA and donate everything you don't need or things you have not used in years. Clothing is great for moving and tubes are better than boxes we used different color stickers for different rooms and we used PODS to move all our stuff and have movers move everything in for you. Congrats on the next chapter in your lives.
Label your moving boxes kitchen etc. and whether whats in the box is breakable, that way you know where the boxes go, leave a few cleaning products for last
My husband and i recently moved and had so much stuff we donated and threw away. Now it’s time to unpack and probably more stuff to throw away and donate. For the clothes, we just put trash bags over them while on the hangers so it’s easier to transport and you won’t have to worry about taking them off the hangers. Oh the fun of moving. Good luck on the move!
Awesome congrats guys, each move is always for a reason and I bet this one still has many good things to come to your family!!! This is my best recommendation!!! Label everything to where or what room it’ll be in and make sure at unloading it goes exactly there. When packing the U-Haul make sure boxes go in first and then furniture this way as you unload you take the big furniture in the exact room and then boxes next. This way you don’t be tripping over boxes or have to shift things around to make room for big furniture. Have a plan to where things will be going in the new home, so you won’t have to be moving things around after unloading. For example yes groceries will go to the kitchen but to be more exact, it goes in the pantry not just the kitchen floor. Bathroom stuff, is it kids bathroom or master, or guest. Specific locations less moving around after unloading. Hope it makes sense, good luck and take some Advil before hand.
Take pictures as you take her bed apart and put all hardware in bags and label it. Congratulations on your new home adventure. Tina is so right when she said home is where your family is at. You all are such amazing family it will feel like home before you know it. So glad the kids can still go to the same school with there friends.
In the past few years I have sold a home moved to a rental for a year and a half and then moved Provinces from Vancouver,BC,Canada to Halifax,NS,Canada I moved to Halifax 5 months ago and bought a home so I know how Stressful moving is. My advice is to do a little bit everyday, get some boxes that are mainly large and a few medium those seem to be the perfect size for most things. For clothing and linens use garage bags and label them. Make sure you label Most or all of the boxes it will make things much easier on moving day its okay if you have a box labelled Random crap. Keeps things simple, get the kids involved. Also make sure you do some grocery shopping before hand get some waters (for yourself and movers If you are using a moving company, easy meals are good to,Toilet paper, tissues, papertowel, handwash, dish soap, laundry soap, dishwasher detergent, dish brush, sponges etc. White Vinegar and water make a great cleaner for glass, dish soap and water for all purpose and baking soda for scrubbing out toilets, sinks, bathtubs etc. Also buy some disinfectant wipes or spray for toilets you never who sat on it last. Label everything with your new address just in case it gets lost. Also have Bedroom #1 as blanks name, #2 as blanks name and so on. Assign everyone a room number and they have to put that room number on the boxes/bags etc going to that room. Label the rooms Family room, living room etc.
I lived in the same house for more than 45 years, then moved 3 times in 3 years...I DON'T EVER want to move again!!! I have a couple of tips that helped me. Leave your clothes on hangers and put trash bags over them. I used towels and blankets to wrap pictures and other breakable things in instead of spending money on bubble wrap. Good Luck to the kids on their upcoming seasons. I can't wait to see your new home! Much Love to all of you!
I am soo excited for you guys. Can not wait until the new house tour. Tip is keeping all your clthes on hangers and move in the car and then place straight into your new wardrobes.
I am excited for you. I am sure this move has a bitter sweetness about it. I will be praying that the new place is so full of positive additions that is will be easy. I will be keeping you all in my prayers and look forward to your next video. Until then please take care and God bless!
Congratulation! I am so excited for you. A new journey and chapter in your lives. When you pack up the house, do the kitchen and bath area's last. Use blankets to wrap a round the big pictures and paintings. Don't pack the boxes with to much weight in them. It will be easier to pick up and move them. Don't forget to tape the bottom of the boxes too. Have a good one!!!!
Moving is a pain just do it 1 room at a time, declutter along the way, throw out stuff you don’t need or use any more, put cloths in suite cases or big plastic totes because that way you can keep them organized, keep stuff together that goes into the room when you move, and be sure to label everything in boxes and totes so you’ll know where it goes in the new house because that will make it some what easier. I’m moving in the end of March and I’ve already stared to pack and organize all ready I’m moving from my 700 sq foot apartment to a 1400 sq foot 2bedroom 2 bath house I’ve been building for the past year and a half can’t wait to have space across the board I’m excited to have a kitchen that I’m Not hitting the fridge or the oven when I turn around.... moving is the pain and the annoying! You got this Phillips Fam Bam you can do this!
We just moved from Florida to Texas over the weekend! It definitely is stressful- our landlord was selling our house also after 6 years. My husband has been working remote for about 4 years so we just decided to come on to Texas! We found another family that had just moved to Florida and they give us all their boxes- wardrobe boxes are the bomb!! Good luck on your move!!!
Tip: if you haven't used an item in a few years, chuck it. I even did it for things we only had for a year and didn't see us using it again. Less things to pack and move. Pack any and everything that you can think of and won't need til you move into the new home. When we bought our first house almost two years ago, everyday i focused on 1 room (sometimes two if the 1 room got done quickly), and made a donation pile, garbage pile and packed every single thing I could. That same day I would wipe all the walls down, and wiped out any closets or cupboards too. Then that way that room is pretty much cleaned and done. We lived VERY minimal til we moved because I packed as much as I could. Having a system down TRULY helps.
My family and I we were moving out the neighborhood It was hard I'm so used to seeing my friends everyday and hanging out with them till everything change
My tip is to pack 1 (or maybe 2 with how many of you there are) box of absolute necessities to unpack right away so you dont have to sift through a bunch of boxes to find stuff you'll need right away. Toiletries, maybe 2 days worth of clothes, toilet paper, a few cups and plates, chargers, meds etc. The important stuff basically.
A hack that helped us was to leave the clothes on the hangers just put a trash bag over them and tie in a knot at the bottom. Congrats! My kids just got that 12 hr bug they had low fever and cough with headache.
Tips: use rolls of bubble wrap to protect breakable items. Clothes packing: roll your clothes when suite case packing. Donate what you have not used in 6 months. Mark boxes according to room placement. Reduces stress when unpacking: ask family and friends for help. Reduces overwhelming feelings😊
Thanks for sharing.Cant wait to see the new house and moving videos. You all are so awesome and I enjoy your videos so much. You are fun and loving family.
Omgee Congratulations 🎊 how exciting!!! May this new chapter bring so much more joy and love 💗 looking forward too all the amazing new things coming your families way
congrats on a new chapter of your lives. its bitter sweet with all the memories that were made in the house. cant wait to see where this journey takes you.
I’ve moved twice this past 9 months and the last time I moved I packed everything in 3 days! Day and night but I liked it that way not living with boxes in your face for weeks. I know it’s overwhelming. Good luck! You guys are blessed.
Pack a change of clothes, some bath towels and a set of sheets for each bed in your car. As soon as the beds are in place in the new house, make the beds before unpacking. When you become extremely exhausted after a long day of unpacking, you can shower & go straight to bed.
Use towels, sheets, blankets to separate pictures, mirrors, removable shelves so they dont get scratched. All hardware put in a baggy and tape to part of the furniture it came from. Same thing with cords and cables if you cant tape it to the furniture or the electronic device then label the bag or a piece of tape. Keep the hardware and / or cords and cables in a separate box that's labeled. If you have pinterest they have some really awesome tips on there too. ❤❤❤
Yay! Congratulations! Super excited for y'all. Can't wait to see your house tour. N see y'all s. Beinging of your new chapter of your life. Xoxo prayers blessings always ☺🙏💞
Pack a luggage full of essential things such as toiletries and clothes for each person. Makes it sooo much easier to find things rather then searching through boxes for their stuff
wow,we are moving too. we have lived in this rented home for over 20 years . we love where we live. owner sold it ,so by 5/31 we are out of here . i am packing, throwing things away and selling some items BIG JOB. we haven't found another house yet, we had a offer on on to buy in our price range, but someone came through with a better offer. may have to rent again.
Check your Walmart, Home Depot, etc for clothing moving boxes. They come with a rod in them, you hang your clothes in them. Makes it so much easier to move your closet. Wardrobe boxes is what they are called.
I have never moved house. my dad came to the UK in the 80s from South Asia bought our house and literally we have been here ever since the 80s. luckily our my parents paid off the mortgage by 2000s. my mum said we were the second owners. the first owner was a old man and his family lived here since it was built. but our house is pretty decent size. we have 5 floors, so 2 bathrooms 2 rooms in the basement, 4 bed rooms, 2 tv rooms, dinning room, kitchen and a conservatory, a front and back garden and then a massive attic (my bedroom) with 2 loft spaces and 2 roof crawls spaces 1 in the kitchen and one in the toilet for junk lol. my mum loves it here she never wants to move coz we live in the city next to all the shopping centres and 5mins away from the beach.
Having just moved in July to my forever home, my advice is definitely to purge....but you are already doing that! Tina, you are seriously a powerhouse when it comes to cleaning and organizing, you got this ❤️❤️ This is so exciting and (me) being a true FamBammer, I was honestly surprised by the announcement.....it wasn’t even on my radar, 😂. WOW WA WOW WOW WOW (as Tina likes to say). 😭
When we moved from Texas to Oregon we got these dishes boxes from U-haul. They were a lifesaver. None of our dishes and glasses were broken in the move. They also have boxes made for clothes that you do not want damaged.
I’m moving from California to Hawaii! Luckily I was in a small apartment so I left the furniture but packed everything into 27 gallon totes since I have to ship it. You don’t realize how many things you have until you move especially when you’ve been in the same place for 3 years.
Wow congratulations! We just moved from Chicago to Toronto! Just make sure you number or write a note on top of boxes to avoid Opening unnecessary boxes first in new house
Congrats on the move. Always best to wait till you know in your heart of hearts where you want to be. And although moving and packing sucks just be glad you will have the nice weather to move and are not here in Winnipeg Canada where is currently snowing.
I felt like you guys were going to announce that your family will be moving soon 😁...Packing is easier but unpacking is very overwhelming but exciting at the same time. I am so excited for you all! I hope your family has a great move! And Ethan gets better soon. Costco black bins with yellow lids are very durable and they stack great).
It's true, I always wondered how a house that was so big and had so many bedrooms could have such a tiny kitchen and pantry. It's not that the kitchen is necessarily so small, it's just that compared to the rest of the house it just looked tiny to me. I never knew you guys rented and always wondered why you would buy a house with such a large family that had such a small kitchen. Anyway congrats on the move, hopefully it's a fresh start for all of you.
Also, labeling boxes and putting those boxes in the labeled rooms when moving into the new house prevents congestion. Less work later. Plus easier to find certain things until things get unpacked. I'll even label what's in the box too. Just to make it easier. Example: Kitchen- plates/bowels, kitchen- cleaning products. Etc.
1. Label where u put the cords and remotes... use trash bag for hanging clothes and use the ties for over top of the hangers so ur clothes are in the bag but hanging... im so happy for u guys... cant wait...
This was definitely a shocker, just assumed you owned your home, WOW this is so exciting for you,DEFINITELY know how stressful moving can be, I've done it like 16 times so far, can't wait to see the new house...Get better soon Ethan..
WoW! Kinda saw this coming, but kinda didn't. My only packing tips are: 1. Pack by room. & 2. Label, label, LABEL!!! As for taking medications for colds, because of my health conditions, I'm not allowed to take OTC's. If I get a cold, I have to ride it out.
Elijah definitely lives in the right state to become A DJ that's for sure.. I'm so proud of him.. that Beat is dope.. You guys should share more of his music or maybe he could even do it on his channel I don't know how that works with the whole copy right thing.. I also heard and beatbox and with his mouth a little bit hes definitely in the music and That's awesome
As a teenager, I missed the room I had known for 14 years with my turquoise carpet. Since then I have never missed a house. Buying and selling houses is a pain in butt. We have missed out on some great houses b/c of the process. So good luck.
CONGRATULATIONS just wanted to say i was in Phoenix yesterday and saw a cafe rio had to stop and eat OMG sooo good loved it the quesadillas with barbacoa were sooo good ,my mom got taco salad and the drinks sooo good wish tucson had 1 but now i kn ,were to go when im in Phoenix, thanks to u guys
Get coloured stickers and assign a colour to each person. You can then stick them on the sides of the boxes so you can easily see which room they belong to. You can also have different colours for the Kitchen, family room, living room etc.
We just moved last September. We were at that house for 13 years. We had all 3 kids at that house. Biggest tip is label, label, label. And not just kitchen, but like kitchen-bowls and cups, etc. Also throw stuff away!!!
@@PHILLIPSFamBam also, the last day at the old house/first night at the new house, put all necessity items together in a bag or box. Like, don't tape it up and stuff. But like everyone's brushes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc, maybe even 1 outfit with all the undergarments. That way you're not digging through boxes trying to find the things you will need for the next morning or day.
Ugh ! Sorry Ethan is sick ! Hope he feels better soon ! I am recovering from being sick as well ... But not that kind ! I was in the ER for extreme dizziness ! Lasted 4 days ! The ER said it's possible Vertigo/ inner ear issues .... So that also could mean something called Menere's disease ... Something with crystals in the inner ear of balance .... You get really dizzy and it makes you feel sick to your stomach ! Have had this at least 5 other times within 2 years ! Anyway .... Glad for your move for you all ! Hope it goes smoothly !
I love moving but not the packing and unloading part but I love the adventure of exploring the new house and making it my own...have fun and enjoy your new home!!!
That's kind of a bummer because you have been improving the home with new carpet. You've bought furniture for that home so I hope it all fits well in your new home. As a real estate investor our tenants are fearing we will be selling our investments. All their friends are losing their rentals as some investors are selling. I think it's more of the newer, by default investors selling. Meaning they held on to a property because they were upside down if they sold. Now that the market is in an upswing they are selling. I've been investing for over 20 years. We aren't selling, we are long term investors. I'm 47 years old and they are my retirement. We have tenants who have rented from us for five years. Great tenants and we haven't increased their rent at all. We value our tenants and because we aren't slum lords and take care of our tenants, they don't move. I'm more about long term relationships. Yes we could chase the almighty dollar but that's not us. I wish I had something available when you're looking because I'd know you'd be ideal tenants. Good luck in your venture. I look forward to seeing your journey.
Wow, congratulations! Did not see that coming. My guess for the use of the bins were way off. I can totally see how moving will be sad, but exciting at the same time. Moving does give you a chance to clear out stuff. We have lived in our home for over 30 years. My sisters live on either side of us. We all live on family land. It’s where I grew up. We will never move, but as I look around my home, just the thought of packing up all that’s in it would be crazy. I’m so excited for all of you! The only advice I have would be to label everything. What room it’s for and the general contents.
I use tea towels for support in between plates bowls I have also used pants for the same reason. Placing the items sideways instead of flat helps. When my son just moved I had toilet paper stashed inside the micriwave in a plastic bag. I ty to fit everything so there is no open space being carried to new location. Have a good laugh on my packing skills
I’m excited for this next chapter in your lives! Best packing hack is taking all the clothes that are hung on hangers already and just putting a trash bag over it and traveling that way. You don’t have to take the clothes off the hangers to fold them!
Good luck with the move! It can definitely be a curfufle, but very very fun! When I saw the totes a couple videos ago I asked myself.... are they moving? Lone and behold lol. Hope you guys had a great day!
Hey. I knew it.. When people start to interior decorating their houses. They gonna move house.. A lot of youtbers have moving houses this years.. Good luck this house will be in alot of your memories ..
Just moved! I used different color duct tape for each room but my realtor gave me stickers that have kitchen, living room, etc... on them. I believe you can get them on amazon. They helped so much.
Congratulations!! So excited for y'all. Put different tape or sticker on the boxes so you know where each box goes, take pictures of every piece of furniture so you know how it goes, and give away or sale or donate stuff you don't want. Hope Ethan feels better. Have a great evening.
Wow I was shocked with the title but happy a new home is great new beginning I have been unpacked in a day I have ocd and because I purged as much as I could that we didnt need and clearly labeled boxes of every room if u dont want 2 read use different color tape for rooms and get help to u load and take stuff into the new home cant wait for the upcoming videos #Chooseyourday #lifer

Haha new yard is still small but has beautiful trees. Eventually when we buy we’d like some land.

My family and I we were moving out the neighborhood It was hard I'm so used to seeing my friends everyday and hanging out with them till everything change
Wow! Big news. So excited for you guys! It'll be nice to start a new chapter in a new home!
Get rid of everything you don’t need
Pack one room at a time
Label boxes by room
Wrap fragile things in clothing to save on paper and trash
Great tips! Thanks so much! Never thought to wrap things in clothing!
I like that idea too! I plan to move in near future and will remember this!
Yes wrapping things in clothes and towels work great!
PHILLIPS FamBam happy to help!!! happy packing!!!
Thank you so much for your encouraging words! Means the world!
So happy for you all ♥️
Prayers for Ethan to feel better and that you all stay well.
So true! The weather has been pretty perfect as of late
Home is where the family is... and the framily !! We will definitely help with the move.. and that bed of Emberlynn’s lol
Were is the wow button. Excited for you all.
Etc.
I’m so excited for you guys! I looked for a house for awhile and when you walk in and it feels like home you will know it’s the forever home. 🥰
1. Label where u put the cords and remotes... use trash bag for hanging clothes and use the ties for over top of the hangers so ur clothes are in the bag but hanging... im so happy for u guys... cant wait...
Styrofoam plates and bowls between dishes. Get a wardrobe box from uhaul for closet clothing.
Congrats Phillips Family!! So happy for you guys can't wait to see the tour!
How exciting! It's always exciting to move to a new place.
How exciting but ugh yeah I hate the packing part too. Good luck and I hope the move goes smoothly here’s to better WiFi at your new place. 😉👍🙂
Great idea!!!
I am so happy for your family to begin your new journey as a family in your new home.
Yes declutter declutter declutter only move what you love and need!
Congrats on your MoVE:)It sucks Packing:( GOOD LUCK TINA I KNOW YOU WILL ROCK IT #FAMBAMMER FOR LIFE
How exciting! And so surprising! I’m so happy for you guys! ❤️
We just moved last September. We were at that house for 13 years. We had all 3 kids at that house. Biggest tip is label, label, label. And not just kitchen, but like kitchen-bowls and cups, etc. Also throw stuff away!!!
13 years! Wow! I bet that was tough! Good idea about being specific with labels!
Label everything really well, color code each rooms boxes. When you unload put it in the garage by room/rows so you can take your time putting away.
Wishing you guys the best!!!!
Life is all about the adventure!! You guys are going to rock this out & make new memories
Thanks for being so positive!
Oh my goodness!!! 😱😱😱 definitely a shocker!! Can’t wait to see more adventures wherever y’all go. 😍
I just love and enjoy watching y'all vlogs. Amazing family. 😁
I love moving but not the packing and unloading part but I love the adventure of exploring the new house and making it my own...have fun and enjoy your new home!!!
Clothes... we bought contractors trash bags! Super strong & holds a lot
That’s awesome!! Congratulations!! Im so happy for you!!
I love everything about this comment! There needs to be more people like you!!!!
LABEL ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING !!!!!
Congrats on your new home! May it be even more pleasant than the last! 💕 Can’t wait for us to find something bigger. ✨
Thanks so much!
Congratulations on your next adventure 💕💕💕💕
I’m excited for this next chapter in your lives! Best packing hack is taking all the clothes that are hung on hangers already and just putting a trash bag over it and traveling that way. You don’t have to take the clothes off the hangers to fold them!
Awesome hack!
go to the supermarket and ask for big banana boxes, they are really sturdy and you can pack a lot of stuff in it
Moving is such a task. Wishing you guys all the best. 💖
Good luck with the move! It can definitely be a curfufle, but very very fun!
When I saw the totes a couple videos ago I asked myself.... are they moving? Lone and behold lol. Hope you guys had a great day!
How exciting!!!! My husband and I are in the early stages of buying our first house!!!
Hey. I knew it.. When people start to interior decorating their houses. They gonna move house.. A lot of youtbers have moving houses this years.. Good luck this house will be in alot of your memories ..
How exciting!! I can’t wait to see your new house! Stressful I’m sure but I know you will all get through it and handle it awesome!! ❤️
Congratulations I am so Happy for ya'll god bless
Styrofoam plates in between plates instead of newspaper and put clean towels around in a clean plastic bin so you dont have to wash them before using.
Great idea!
Congratulations! Big happy times ahead!
Just moved! I used different color duct tape for each room but my realtor gave me stickers that have kitchen, living room, etc... on them. I believe you can get them on amazon. They helped so much.
Take pictures of the furniture that will need to be rebuilt as you take it apart. Make sure to put the hardware in a bag and tape to a part of it.
Congratulations!! So excited for y'all. Put different tape or sticker on the boxes so you know where each box goes, take pictures of every piece of furniture so you know how it goes, and give away or sale or donate stuff you don't want. Hope Ethan feels better. Have a great evening.
Omg...u guys just got a bedroom makeover...i m happy for u guys...
Use painters tape on Emberlynn's bed, and write which piece it is. Use baggies for hardware and label those 😊
Good idea!
I loveeeee your fambam so much! 😍 Congratulations on your life level up! BOOM!
