What I love about your juggling is not just the complexity of the tricks but just how clean and smooth everything looks. The hands blur and all you see is the pattern. Beautiful juggling.
That’s surprisingly common! They are quite similar 🤣 Especially when people describe Mills Mess as “windmill alternating”, which it isnt. Flos Mess is actually windmill alternating!
I never knew that’s called a half mess lol. I just do that when I’m trying to do Mills Mess super fast and it ends up sort of cutting off the pattern - I guess hence the “half mess” lol. The backwards variations are messing with me though, you’re right. I’ll have to try that .
This video is incredible, a wealth of information, just amazing, I will be studying this, once you get the bug of juggling you go down a rabbit hole, a rabbit hole that expands your mind. Love it!
I really appreciate what you are doing for juggling. Maybe one day we will look at these videos as part of a turning point, where a lot of young people said "I want to learn that!"
Wow! Your juggling in this video is truely amazing. I had no idea there were so many mess variations and they all look so cool. I definitely want to learn some of them.
Incredible video. It is a shame that only 10K people have seen this, but a great thing that 264 comments have been made. I did not know a lot of these patterns existed and I know a ton of mess patterns. This has given me a bunch of awesome material to work on. Thank you!
I'll be trying the Boston and Peruvian one's, I'd also love to see a couple minutes of you just playing with all of these patterns in whatever order your brain can handle :) maybe you'll accidentally make up your own!
I really look forward to your videos, Taylor. I truly enjoyed watching all of the different patterns. In another lifetime I would like to think that I would have been a juggler. What a beautiful thing!
I started juggling a few months ago, just to try something new. I still haven’t really got the 3 ball cascade down, but I am nearly there. Your channel is a great resource, and you are an inspiration! The stuff in this video is just crazy, and beautiful. I love it.
@@sengyang6780 the juggling community should support each other and not show off and make other people feel bad about themselves. Everybody should be able to learn at their own speed and enjoy the process of it and not feel pressured in any way
@@grattata4364 Thank you! I have only been doing a couple of minutes a day, but I can really see how it could become addictive. And these “Mills Mess” variations are amazing!
@@grattata4364 Doing a little research, I realize that I double or triple “qualified” the three ball cascade a long time ago. What I would like to do is keep it going for two or three minutes, but my throws get inconsistent. That’s what I mean by “not really getting it”. Practice!
Ooh, I had a field day with this video! I haven't juggled 3 balls like that for years! Thank you, Taylor, for putting in the time to condense all these tricks into one video! I love those kind of mathematical brain teaser patterns. I spent the last two hours making my way through just about all of the patterns. My favorites were all the reverse tricks in particular the flipped reverse flos mess because it's so smooth and feels like learning mills mess all over again. I got stuck on the 531 mess but I was able to do the 501 two ball version and that was pleasing. Several of those I had learned over the years like Boston Mess (which I called mills columns) and Mikes Mess (which I called the flourish mess and even taught it on my channel), and several of them I had figured out on my own, like the alternating half mess (which I called mills mess in two), the wind mill mess (which I called fake shower mills mess), the Flos Mess (which I called fake mills mess) and the 441 mills mess (ooh I like that one!). I also got stuck on the Peruvian mess though I think I understood the concept (maybe I just ran out of steam), but to me it's a very pretty trick, so I hope you bump that one up on your tutorial to do list. Question... why did you call one trick Half Floss Mess when you're doing 3 tosses on one side and 1 on the other. It seemed to me the half messes describe 2 and 2 ... not 3 and 1. Perhaps it should be renamed to "31 Mills Mess"... Hey that's almost the title of your video!😃🤹♂️
I also really like the fake mess 423 -- I was confused but I just got it now -- it's so easy and satisfying! I'm surprised I've never done it before. That would be a good and easy one to teach.
wow. id be super impressed with just 5 variations of mills mess. but 30. wtf. thats just nuts. and thats from someone who has learned just about every rc heli trick /variation/ reversal / mirror in the book
Beautiful! The Peruvian mess is my favourite, it looks like dancing (also because you *are* dancing). But it’s all a mess to me, I cannot comprehend most of these tricks, not without spending a LOT more time on them. ‘Normal’ mills mess I now can do comfortably (it won’t look half as good as when taylor does it, partly because I’m not a juggler but only posing as one), but all these variations I didn’t even know existed.
Great inspiration Taylor! I would love to have a tutorial on the Boston mess. Couldn't find a good explanation yet, and kinda stuck... You're always able to explain it very understandable and with small steps. Best wishes!🤗
That was so cool, MM is my favorite pattern . Now my brain is going to really explode. I can't wait to pick one out and give it a whirl. I love that Nike shirt.
Wow this is so dope! What an awesome resource. I haven’t seen a lot of these and there are so many i want to try! The Peruvian is definitely high on my list, it’s so cool!
You know, the nice thing is, that mills mess is my favourite trick. So I can say, without even watching it, that this is one of the greatest videos I will ever see. :D
Of all your videos over the years I think this is the most impressive. Your powers of concentration and application are phenomenal. Mike's Mess looks one of the best because of the speed of hand involved, but nothing beats your Four Ball Mess.
That’s incredible how many mess variations exists and the way that you make it it’s simply awesome. My favorite always gonna be the Mills Mess, I remember when I learned it, I had practically non experience with other thick’s, just the basic 3’s like shower, fountains, wind mills and reverses, but i was to decided to do it, i watched over and over and try to imagine how it looks from first person point of view and one day I made it, then I realized that there’s simple ways to learn it just like do the intersection movement of right and left windmill
Great video. Very aesthetic. Mills Mess and the other Mess are very graceful tricks when it is running clean. You put a lot of value on a clean version, which I like very. I learned a lot of you, thank you. Best regards, Peter from Germany
All of these look amazing and I want to learn them all, plus Mills Mess with 4 balls (I can already do 3, it took me 2 months to figure it out). I think I'll try to learn as many as I can before the new semester starts, but some (esp. hectic mess) are still very fast with 1/2 speed, so these will probably be the last ones I'll try. I'm always happy about new videos from you, they are always worth waiting for them and it doesn't matter if they are tutorials or other stuff. Also, I really liked the music you put here!
For those struggling with mills mess, like i am, i found columns mess easier (10:19). Taylor, my favourites were reverse flos mess, matt's mess, and sync mess, so maybe you could do tutorials on them. Where did you get the nike "just juggle" t-shirt?

Fantastic video. Thank you very much for making this, it’s a big help to have clean video of some of these tricks. I’d LOVE to see a tutorial on Mike’s Mess. I’ve been struggling to learn it for AGES. I’ve only ever seen it done with clubs before. It looked so cool when you did it with balls! So, yeah, please make a tutorial on Mike’s Mess, and thanks again for this great video!
This video was honestly a breath of fresh air for me! Ever since I discovered 4 ball mill's mess a couple years ago, I've wanted to learn it, but it's been frustrating nailing the basic 4-ball fountains. After watching this, I nailed the half mess on the first try and almost exploded out of pure joy! If you could, I was also interested in learning the Boston Mess on the journey to the 4-ball mill's mess. I noticed you don't have a tutorial for Boston; would you make one if you had the time and desire? Thanks again! Also, in case it hasn't been noted yet, I really liked your choice of music!
'It probably looks like a jumble of crap...' If that's a 'jumble of crap' I'd take that everyday of the week for my juggling practice/performing. I'm from the other side of the pond and I don't usually use the word awesome, but this video was awesome!
Thanks T your vids are much appreciated. I've juggled off and on for years and took advantage of the corona situation over the last year to learn some patterns and props that I've always wanted to figure out. I can honestly say that so far learning Mills Mess has been THE undisputed, most frustrating juggling trick I've tried to tackle... I won't lie, it made me cry. I was playing around and pondering how to do an "outside cascade" (if that makes sense) variation of Mills, which from this video looks like the Reverse Mess. I would be psyched to hear/see your thoughts on how to wrap the noodle around learning that pattern. Lastly, I just really like the visual of the Half Mess. Cheers
Taylor I remember one time you said you were known for messing up. I honestly don’t think that’s true. I think you’re known for being absurdly more talented than anyone else 😂

Great video...as usual. A tutorial for boston mess would be great. And also, without your spectacles you are much more pretty !

And i Love the crossunder sync mess. I think, i will learn that in the Next few dass :)
'It probably looks like a jumble of crap...' If that's a 'jumble of crap' I'd take that everyday of the week for my juggling practice/performing. I'm from the other side of the pond and I don't usually use the word awesome, but this video was awesome!

I loved watching this! I'm gonna learn a lot of things about this video. Thanks
Cheers
