  • Allan Holdsworth - Sphere of Innocence Lesson & Tutorial pt. 2
Hey everyone! This finally finishes up Sphere of Innocence. If you watched my other video for this song, this one shouldn't be so bad. It only has 2 new voicings in it that isn't in the other section. Otherwise all the chords are voiced the same, just transposed in different ways. Hope you like it!
If you want this song transcribed in Standard tuning, not fifths, join the URAH (Unreal Allan Holdsworth) facebook group where this will be uploaded in the files section, along with other excellent transcriptions!
Some of you also might take some issue with some of the chord names. I figured I would add I did not take the bass note into consideration and only focus on the chords. I also tried to give the chord the most straightforward name I can, even if functionally it might not be correct.
Also, let me know what other songs you would like to see! For those that do not know, I have written a book that lists and arranges chords used by Allan. In doing that I have transcribed over 50 of his tunes.

This is unbelievable. Thank you. This is one of my favourite songs in all of music. To see it played so accurately is inspiring.
This gives me something to focus on for 2020!

Great as always, in the future will you also do Where Is One? listening seems simple, but it's really hard as a song!
    Keep it up ; )

Thank you! I would certainly like to do that one. It's relatively easy... relatively haha but does have a bunch of modulation. It is probably gonna be a two parter.

how do i tune to fifths from high to low for this song? Thanks

I talk about it in my part 1 video. Its F C G D A E. E being the same pitch as the high E on a guitar tuned to standard. The low F string is not used at all on this song in any part.

@@TurrigenousOfficial Oh right i got a lil bit confused and thought the sixth string was a low C. Thanks, keep the videos coming!

What string gauges did you use?
